I'm looking forward to s7 in D4. I'm done with s6 because of no armory. I'm genuinely excited to try new builds going forward. The HOTA quake style play is intriguing and I would like to try one of those fancy ww/dd/quake builds. I'm also wondering how mighty throw will work without snapshots. So lots to test and experiment with. Having said that, I too am really looking forward to playing the same barbarian classes as you are haha, in PoE 2. I'll be going in blind with a friend of mine. We played PoE 1 campaign mode blind, no guides and just yolo'ing through it, and while I had the same frustrations you mentioned, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a blast 😂 .
Nice, yolo'ing PoE1 was awesome, will be doing the same with PoE2. For D4 I plan on trying HotA, Iron Maelstrom, and some form of a bleed build. I'll probably try more but that my starter list.
@@1273dave Definitely agree, PoE1 took time to learn. I feel PoE2 will be the same. I think D4 will up its game once they see the shift in December. I'm a Diablo fan boy for life lol; started with OG Diablo on windows 95!
@@barb_or_bust poe2 removed some of the most frustrating systems it seems like the stupid gems in the armor (sorry I hated that) and just made it more friendly, while keeping the skill tree which I liked, I can’t wait to play
@@barb_or_bust I use to be until Blizzard just does not care about me or you. They have ruined their own game. Especially if you look at Fergusons record on what he done in the past. D4 is way too simple to play and no fun to try different things. Or in some places sure you change it up a bit but you dont have enough. POE is MASSIVE compared to d4. I mean d4 is one dlc in and POE2 has so much more content to do. D4 devs knows what makes a good game they refuse to make it as a company. why support it?
Diablo 4 is lacking an end game that’s fun. I don’t mind if it’s more “simple” with its builds and stuff. But the lack of end game makes any of the grind feel pointless.
I play D4 until I have completed all the Season Objectives, battle pass etc. and when it was active tried my hand getting top 1k in the Gauntlet. That's a good 50-150 hours per season which I enjoy for 2-4 weeks. Then I stop and play something else. This season looks like probably the best so far so I expect it to be on the upper end of that - unless POE2 really hooks me then I will probably still play S7 but might be itching to get back to POE2. Or if POE2 really REALLY hooks me maybe I will skip S7.
I am not sure what you mean by locked-in, because respect are available for tree and dex can be found in almost any item, with that said, if you reached T15 with your own build in the first try that is a huge victory, really curious you gave up considering this achievement
You do get a couple respec points, 6 or 8 I think, but you can't respect the whole tree to path better, instead you are locked to the skills you took. I played the ultimatum league back in 2021. The biggest reason I lost interest was too many systems to learn. Abyss, Bestiary, Breach, Essence, Incursion, Delve, Synthesis, Legion, Blight, Metamorph, Delirium, Harvest, Heist and Ritual lol. My favorite was Incursion, Legion and Blight. Delve I enjoyed but didn't fully understand, Bestiary I didn't understand at all, same with Synthesis. That made me stop playing as I felt I had too many systems to learn. I also didn't think map tier 15 was good considering there were tier 17 maps, and I thought I should be able to complete tier 17 lol. That said I am definitely excited for PoE2!
The devs in d4 are seemingly antagonistic towards players, I don’t know why they made the choices they did for s6 at all, s7 also seems to have some questionable choices for classes as well. The overall philosophy for balance seems horrible and not thought out, nerf x remove nerf add another nerf buff shitty useless skills etc etc.
Agreed, I'd be a lot happier D4 player if they could balance the skills. I don't want all skills to be equal, but give them pros and cons and don't make one skill be about to clear pit 120 while others struggle with 100 or 85 :/
D4 devs also bought some pretty expensive supporter packs to play POE2. I really cant understand why some POE players are hating on them. play both games. Theres enough market for all types of players.
@@barb_or_bust orbs of Regret have almost always been in the game I'm sorry people misinformed you, It's true that it is/was expensive or prohibitive for new players but honestly anyone from your community that plays should have been easily able to help you with that if you wanted. with that said nearly everyone gets stuck with their 1st build.
I downloaded poe1 on sony. Im having more fun with that than i am.now with D4. When you look at it. They only have and most likely only ever have is the pit. Gets stale real fast.
Nice, I also played PoE1 on PS4, had a lot of fun. I really hope they will do more with the pits...... atleast copy D3, greater rifts feel way better than pits.
@@barb_or_bust It's funny really, they created the Pit the way it is because people hated having to fish on D3 because the maps varied so greatly. They also hated how the bosses were just damage sponges with ridiculous health and purely a single target DPS check, or you had to figure out a way to use a pylon or season mechanic to take them out both of which were pretty arcane. So they made it much more standardised and made the boss fights much more balanced. But now people don't like how every Pit run feels the same.
I think Diablo IV been made to earn money for blizzard. But poe 1 and poe 2 been made to make Gamers community happy and to show other lazy developers, how need to develop good games. That is my opinion :D

Play both GG - Prayingh we dont have to find/trade/buy maps in PoE2 hate that stuff
When I play ultimatum you didn't have to, but could vendor 3 of 1 map for 1 of a different map, that was cool! Hopefully they will do that again.

You can respec your character with gold and refund point currency. you can buy it through the economy or a vendor in kaalger
