I remember that! I personally think D4 pre season 1 was great, give it a 20% xp boost so it's not too grindy and keep the lvl 100 cap with a 6 board limit, scrap the legendary glyphs and keep the pit to 100 tiers and the game would feel better. That's my opinion on how the game should be, I definitely have more ideas though! Like keep mythic truly mythic instead of necessary like the ring if starless skies in almost every barbarian build.

On mouse and key it works sooooo much better. I play on controller and find that too; I think its a great skill though, Ancients Oath makes it work a lot better.

Gushing Wounds makes damage over time a x70% multiplier 18:14 shows this. Damage over time is additional damage then when you proc gushing wounds it also becomes a multiplier

They might’ve forgotten or they might’ve done it on purpose, not all devs have to cater to all audiences, maybe they are looking to cater mostly to hardcore fans at the cost of loosing the casual gamers and that’s ok, there are arpgs for casual gamers too, it’s all cool. I’m not a racing games fan, I don’t expect them to add rpg elements to cater to me and make me buy a racing game, it’s all cool

@@dIggl3r D4 has a better endgame. PoE 2’s endgame is just mapping. Mapping is just walking through a field that looks the same in all directions looking for rare monsters to kill. Ocasionally you will find a league mechanic like breach or ritual which are the equivalent in D4 to those random world events you find in NMDs. If you die during a map then you lose access to and league mechanics as well as any bosses and you lose all your drops and XP and have to start the map all over. There are also pinnacle bosses but they’re not worth doing. And you are doing these maps over and over again basically until you reach level 100 like doing NMDs in pre season D4.

@@alessioleporati1478 what endgame does d4 even have? dont get me wrong i like to play d4 now and then but dlc(clownborn) ruined it for me at least but saying d4 having better endgame? pit after pit after pit and sometimes "uber" bosses for uber uniques so you can run pits after pits faster with same bosses over and over again. dying in maps with only 1 feels kinda weird i give you that but i cant just zoom zoom like in poe1 or d4. pinnacle bosses not worth? just not true at all. its kinda stupid even to compare d4 and poe1/2...different kind of games.

I also found it too slow, I added the martial tempo support gem to make my sunder 2 seconds vs. 2.5, makes a difference! Currently doing tier 5 found and cleared a couple tier 7s but can't find anything higher at the moment.

Do you have the iron warrior for the damage reduction? Rupture helps reset iron warrior to give you more damage reduction. Are you using Flay to proc the damage reduction from might? The 2 main sources of damage reduction are the might aspect and the iron warrior aspect. Other than that make sure you have more health. Let me know if this helps

@@barb_or_bust well almost all of my equipments are unique oh ya btw I meant I'm in torment 2 missclick sorry but my poison and lightning resistance are -7.8 its so low and my jewelry socket are skull for armor so how do u get a lot of resistance

@@joeyohannes iron skin is better because of shorter cooldown. Get a legendary with armor and get armor from paragon. Then socket gems for resistances

yeh actually poe 2 is still a heavy knowledge-based game. there's a lot of secret and recipe the more u play the more you know. the opposite part is that game will always find a way to kill us. so have to keep learning and play more defensively and strategic. the great thing i find is that no matter how strong my character is, i can still die in some way or certain mechanics, depending on builds. it is quite more survival-like in the pinnacle bossing. either u one shot the boss. or if u off timed it got one shot-ed. and the mechanics is very much high penalty. and have think carefully before proceeding= like certain choices that when we ignore and open the expedition bomb, it will kill us. (monster immune to lightning dmg, when u r running lightning build.) so kinda extremely engaging in a way to keep players ego- in check. (choices has consequences etc...) i do wish there's pinnacle boss that thier mechanics phase cannot be one shoted. (immune to stun/freeze cc etc.) it would really be like a battle arena, basically killing gods (the lore) literally that kind of hard.

Loved D3, was a barb main and loved WW and leap quake! I under estimated the gameplay sound in D4 :/

I expect D4 to come back swinging. When ppl left for Last Epoch during season 3 we had season 4 which introduced tempering and masterworking. PoE2 has end game, I think season 8 will have new end game or season 7 midseason patch will add some sort of end game. Just my opinion.

@barb_or_bust Listen, POE 2 isn't perfect by any means. But it's basically 50% done, the current state of D4 they radically need a massive amount of retooling of game systems in order for it to appease this audience. This game is perfect for the dad that comes home and has like an hour to game per week at most. Example, the skill tree is a complete embarrassment, and Adam Jackson actually defends it. I'd rather have the crazy skill tree POE 1 and 2 has over the laziness of D4

Great point, I agree, the passive skill tree looks complex at first glance but isn't that complicated once you.get in to the game.

this is because the marjoity of growth in diablo doesnt take place from 1-60 , it takes place from 60 to paragon 300, because late game content is the meat and potatoes of the game. your not max level at 60, your max level at 300

D4 is a braindead Chinese mobile game. Just look at it. It looks like a mobile money grab. Garbage.

D4 is just a better designed game. It doesn't need 500 skill nodes because it has more focus allowing the player to create a good character without building a spreadsheet to determine which nodes are best for their play style. I personally want to play a game, not study 100 different options for leveling up my character.

@ It also doesn’t help that the skill nodes in PoE 2 are very minimal for power progression. The skill tree although smaller has more of an impact on your build and the paragon board has much higher power scaling and how you set up the paragon board makes multiple times differences in the amount of danger you do compared to the passive skill tree where the power difference is the difference between 5-10% more damage as a sum from the whole skill tree.

Love this take. I personally don't like the graphics of LE, wish it had a more realistic "artform/environment" vs the D3 ish like graphics. Overall had fun but didn't fully enjoy LE.

D4 combat is superior but PoE2 has a purpose to gearing.

D4 also has a purpose in gearing if you want to survive in high pits in t4 difficulty.

Ahhhhh jeaaa...so i played diablo 4 over 2000 hours and was on pit 150....so i know diablo 4 very good....and i don't know what you guys are talking about....diablo 4 is after 1 year and 5 seasons not even close to the content and fun the early beta of poe 2 offers...

I started with OG diablo, I feel ya. I do enjoy both but diablo is my favorite as well.

The combat in d4 is super smooth, it's the main positive. PoE 2 actually has purpose, you need to gear up to progress.

The reason you will come back to D4 is because the combat feels better. The endgame leaderboard is coming season 8, so play PoE2 until then

Just started a new character in poe2 (ranger). I played 1 session and it took me around 4 hours to get to act 2. If you know how to build, and have convenient rng, the game is not that hard.

The skill tree doesn't cost money. I'm not sure where you got that info from.

Of course it's more complex, all it takes is one glance at both and this is what annoys the crap out of me when it comes to these games. Only a handful of builds is really viable, and it takes a lot of time to actually learn how all the mechanics work, so what happens in most cases people just look up a guide and ones that don't usually fuck it up. I'm not saying this needs changing as obviously there are thousands of people who actually enjoy it, but it does kill a lot of fun if you don't fully understand the system and just follow what others have figure out.

I'm a first time player of poe, started poe2 on the early access release and have played quite a lot, it is not overly complex at all. Its so easy to see what you need to do with gear and levels. Its actually quite simple. The people who find is hard are the people who normally copy youtubers builds, so have to go it alone for the first time. Poe2 Is a lot better than diablo imo. Though I only played d4 for about 12 hours before I deleted it.

@@tomekkruk6147 i never said it's not more complex, i said that it wasn't as complex as people make it seem to be. it's more complex than D4, but not by a lot as it's a quite simple and straightforward game. D4 is just oversimplified.

@@leccy9901 agreed. i've played D3 and played a lot of D4. couple weeks ago i went in blind into PoE1, clocked in about 24hrs. And i had no problems understanding mechanics, except for socket links. didn't look at guides or anything at all. same with PoE2, didn't watch anything and just went in blind. clocked in about 40hrs now.

@@ishitrealbad3039 If you don't have the time to learn all the mechanics or you just cant be bothered, then copying a working build makes sense, but it makes the game boring after a few hours. I guess it's one of those games where you have to invest time to like it.

Biggest reason was cold resistance was 0. I missed the witch that gave you 10% cold resistance at the start of the game. Once I had 20% cold resistance I changed gear to add more health then was able to beat him. To me that was the learning curve of the game. Act 2 boss took me 3 trys. Currently in act 3 and just faced Zicoatl and killed him first try.

@@barb_or_bust aaah i see, yeah act 1 boss has that blizzard attack right? i think the bosses are a good mix of quite easily learning the bosses in the first phase, and than second phase throwing a bunch of stuff at you to try and distract you. it really feels like dark souls where you just wait for openings. and instead of you being punished by the bosses, you punish the bosses themselves.

@@barb_or_bust aaah yeah i'm almost at the end of act 3 i think, ij ust killed viper lady. she kicked my ass, but once i added fire resist it was a cake walk
