I have widened my Granite by putting the Big Rock suspension on with Hot Racing 17mm hex 10mm offset and it is extremely stable now!!! Reinforced the body with Drywall tape and Shoe Goo especially in the rear body mount area around the body post holes. Also at the top of the tailgate where it flexes when you land! Sometimes the slider shafts pop off at the u- joints. They easily pop back on and you can remedy this by wrapping fine wire around the u-joint, making sure it’s tight and tidy “ no excess hanging down to get wound up in the axle “ or cover with heat shrink which you may need to double up.

The only rc I’ve ever bought more than once. Should’ve never sold the first one. Absolutely fantastic! I sent her to the moon many times and ever only had leaky shocks.

I have my granite for 7 months now. I still like it. I already change my motor mount and front shocks and i already bust my differential gear i switched to metal now and its good

Great review I’ve had mine for almost a year now it’s seen some major abuse on a large outdoor dirt track high speed runs bigger jumps pretty much everything I’ve only just finally now stripped out the plastic and put in ring but the spur gear had stripped many times which is usually caused by the boat motor mount putting the 6S shocks on these 3S lineups is great that’s the best thing I’ve done yet all my stock electronics have been fine including my servo lasted a good 6 to 7 hard months

A friend and I both got new Granites and the wheel hubs had loctite on them already. One less thing to worry about. There's always something breaking on any RC car/truck driven the way most people drive them.

I just bought one. I wanted a rustler but these will do me well im charging my battery now. I need to get a lipo battery though
I purchased the 4×2 boost arrma granite 2wd just with the roller chassis and tires and clear body. I notice the motor cover is all composite, and i end up putting an extra 3s velineon system laying around in this rc. And has the plastic spur gear in it.
I think they should definitely have steel diff gears for the pinion and ring gear, I lost the spring in the clutch so I took one out of my brushed Traxxas slashes, it had way more tourqe off the line instead of high end tourqe to pull 40 mile an hour wheelies like they usually do but those plastic diffs couldn't handle that much power off the line I've had my truck sitting there with broken diffs for about 8 or 9 months now
The Granite is a great basher truck. Perhaps not as controllable as Teem Associated Mt-10 but it sure is tough and fun to drive. The biggest complaint I hear is that it rolls over too easy. There are plenty of options to widen the Granite and that does help. The electronics are rock solid and overall it's easy to work on and upgrade. Great review as always.

I just got one of these last week. Is it normal for it to be a lil grindy sounding . Its my 1st arma. My stampedes dont sound like this. I love the granite bit its a bit noisy sounding. Normal?

Thanks! I haven't had experience with the Big Rock yet, so I'm honestly not sure. Due to this Granite's shorter wheelbase, it should flip and wheelie easier than the Big Rock. 👍

Great review. I just picked up the Arrma Granite Blx I want to see if u knew how to make it a bit wider I heard you can buy the Typhon or Big Rock A arms and it’s a direct fit for a little wider stance?? Any help Would help. Thanks in advance
Thanks! Yes, I believe you’ll need the Typhon front & rear a-arms and 3 pairs of the ARA330542 turnbuckles. 👍 I’ve heard a lot of great things about that mod. Have fun with your Granite!

Go to JennyRC for 6s shocks if/when you upgrade those, they list the end to end mm sizes so for example talion front shocks are perfect for the rear

Wish my experience was so good. First big rc I ever bought. Killed a 3s genace lipo in 3 runs @75 throttle limit. 3 of those plastic axles. I think rear diff is going. I hardly play with it cause it breaks almost all the time. Most run it over a baseball field or street.
P.R. damage control for some other RC maker?

Which do you like better, the stampede 4x4 VXL or the granite?
Comparing the two right out of the box, I’d have to say I like the Granite more. I’ve experienced fewer problems with this stock Granite than I did with the stock Stampede 4x4 VXL.

@@LoXodonte Both are great trucks, but considering the price of each I’d probably have to stick with the Granite.
