    Decent comparison dude. I agree the Granite being the best out of the 3. In the UK though the MT10 is about $100 cheaper than the Granite and $250 cheaper the Hoss! So that would have been #1 for value if I was scoring. Arrma 3s range are killing it! 😎👌

    New to the RC world...was interested in TraxxASS but clearly WAAAY overpriced. What turned me off Traxxas the most was how they litigate/harass TH-camrs (RCSailor) and sue competitors with their ridiculous lawsuits which stifles advancement. Add on Traxxas proprietary connectors and it's an easy call.. It's Arrma all the way for me.

      That's par for the course for Traxxas. They've always been $50-$100 more than comparable vehicles for worse equipment and outdated designs. There's something to be said for their parts availability and non-waranty-related customer support but that's it. And it doesn't help that Traxxas is a huge patent troll either.

    Arma should ditch the metal chassis for their bashers altogether. Once the metal chassis bends, it’ll never be the same even if you can bend it back. And it will never be as strong. Composite is chassis the way to go.

      @@Mostima115 Whats wrong with the Kraton?

    • @ValFPV
      @ValFPV 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mostima115 thanks to its ''low'' (where do you even drive lol) ground clearance, the Kraton actually handles better than a typical MT. (doesn't wheelie and roll over as much)
      Also I've found the chassis and rear shock tower to bend easily on my kraton but on my typhon, it's been fine.
      From what I've seen, the 4s kraton is actually more fragile than the 6s. (especially the a arms)
      The corally cars have brittle a arms and a bad wingmount design (Kronos), also they're more expensive than the arrmas

    • @ValFPV
      @ValFPV 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Mostima115 what!? The V5 arrmas are 600! That's crazy. I won't buy one. But where I live, v4 arrmas are cheaper than v2 corallys.
      Okok, yea the weight definitely isn't optimal and I am honestly a bit disappointed with my kraton (the diffs like to break on 6s) but race cars that weigh less because of the use of more premium materials and cleverer designs also typically cost a lot more and most are kits, not RTRs
      Also, I usually land on grass, because there is almost nowhere to jump except in a grass field here, which means I haven't had any issues with electrics.
      Ps: I'm not an expert, but it seems like you are. Sorry for misleading comment above (maybe this one as well idk)

  • @cbh148
    @cbh148 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Looking for a monster truck in this range for my brother. I really don't want to get him a Traxxas since I hate the proprietary battery plug and generally everything they stand for, but I feel like the Hoss is the most likely to have parts support 6 years from now. I've had Horizon branded cars/boats and they're ok about discontinued model parts support but not great, and they usually don't produce a model as long as Traxxas. So 5 years from now, the Hoss will likely still be in production (maybe not for long, who knows) whereas probably the Granite and definitely the Associated will not be in production, but there will be some hit or miss parts for them at online retailers and some people selling new-old-stock parts on ebay for them. At this point, even though Traxxas doesn't seem to mention that as a feature, that appears to be something they have going for themselves, which is probably just the result of not changing up your model line that much by making new platforms that aren't based on prior models.

    In Germany the Asso MT10 is the cheapest but there are not many shops that sell parts for it.
    The Hoss is very expensive but you can buy the stampede 4x4 for 100 bucks less. The Hoss needs alumnium shock caps then its close to bullet proof. Parts are cheap and you can get them at every gasstation or supermarket.
    The Arrma 3s/4s are as expensive as a Stampede 4x4. The shocks are trash and if something breaks it is hell to work on it. But it is very durable. In Germany it is a hell to buy Arrma parts they are hard to get and extremely expensive.
    I recommend buying the Stampede 4x4 kit with a HW BL kit and the alumnium center drive shaft.
    The servos of all rtr models are cheapest trash. There is no rtr with a good or better servo you need a better one for each model.

    You can always improve the performance, durability, and handling. But you can't improve the customer support or ease of maintenance. The Hoss is more expensive for several good reasons - Traxxas will actually pick up the phone when you call them, and all Traxxas products have a lifetime electronics warranty.

    That arma granate from my experience is pretty god damn crazy but the wheels allways be falling off and need some lock tight to keep them in and the shocks light to fall apart and wheely bar does this amazing thing called fucking exploding and its chassis is ugly with the body on but god damn that thing is wild as shit and when u take it apart its doing all of that with a tiny god damn motor

    Hey man i haveThe Helion Avenge it has a 3300kv Radiant Reactor system in it. The ESC is programmable but ive had it a while now id id like to add some power to it. Mine has the 3650 in it not the 3652 Helion started them out with. Keeping it on 3s what would u advise on a motor esc combo to give it a boost in performance w/o spending a few hundred. Thanx for any advice.

    Granite is a great car but as soon as u said more durable..i immediately write this review off ..i love traxxas and arrma the same but not one arrma is more durable then traxxas out the box ...arrma needs upgrading to be more durable as traxxas is good right out the box ..

    same opinion as you Razor RC, i check the hoss to much money for make change later that are by force and for that the hoss become more expensive, but Arrma brake the but to traxxas more cheap and can be upgraded and cost less compare to hoss. Thanks man

    Nice comparison! I used to have a modified 4x4 brushless Stampede and I recently bought a Typhon 3S. I agree that the design is (way) better on the Traxxas vehicles. I'd also say quality is better, the gear cases and diffs are more durable and let in a lot less dirt to grind up the gears. With that said, my Typhon was cheaper and is more fun to drive! The stock suspension feels miles ahead. I'll need more time with it to decide which platform I like better overall. I'd love it if Traxxas would make a 1/8 buggy with a center diff built on the LCG Slash platform.

    Great Truck, but I disagree on working on it? It’s maybe the easiest truck to work on I’ve been working on R/C cars/trucks over 30 years and was so intrigued by Arrmas design overall. I mean...One main screw and the “whole thing” comes apart to get to your motor. What were referring to as far as what was difficult? This is by far the most innovative designs I have seen yet. Traxxas has some cool stuff too, but the price kills it for me. You get so much bang for your buck going Arrma in any category. Go back 15 years...to get something as fast as the granite, you would have to spend $1000 bucks easy. Today it’s around $350 bucks for V3 truck a battery and charger and boom your in. Turn key I think your in it about $550 bucks.
