Ok to clear a couple of things up bc I clearly wasn't on my A Game when trying to explain this case! *spoilers also* So when I said there was no forensic evidence to link Denny to Hannah, I meant there was no forensic evidence to say it was him that killed her. Yes I know there was evidence to say they were together that night such as the semen sample, but like I said many times in the video - that doesn't mean Denny killed her - it could just mean they were together before she was killed. In respect to the teeth marks on Hannah's arm that matched Denny's teeth - teeth shapes aren’t as unique as say a fingerprint & it’s common for people to have VERY similar teeth sets, so it’s evidence in the fact that they match the main suspect, but they could also match hundreds of other people too. So take that how you will. Sorry for not explaining that during the video! Reply to this comment with any other questions you might have & I'll try to clear it up for you! Was there any DNA linking anyone else? Because if there was no DNA in the car or on Hannah that means whoever did it got lucky or cleaned well. And the circumstantial evidence against Denny carries more weight. If someone’s DNA was found, but couldn’t be identified then I’d be more inclined to believe the possibility that Denny was framed.
First Denny said that he hadn't seen Hannah at all. Then he said that him and Hannah had only kissed that night. After the semen was found in her underwear, THEN he says there was consensual sex?!! Somebody who changes their story that much just cannot be innocent.
Think about it this way. He might not want people to hear about him hooking up with Hannah when she had a boyfriend, therefor, though twisted, he might have been nervous to mention it to his friends or Hannah's friends.
But there is also a possibility that they had sex and Denny kept it secret because she had a boyfriend who could beat the shit out of him. Police hadn't interviewed him until just before they arrested him, he had just told his friends and Hannah's that he hadn't seen her. Presumably because she had a known, controlling boyfriend. Idk I just don't see enough evidence to charge the man with a capital offence

Having been a former P.O. Its not that simple. People do go missing a lot. Especially women. They get tired of their family friends boyfriends or lesbian girlfriends. They up and leave. And just pop up again two months later. Women leave small towns all the time and go to bigger city's like L.A. NYC, Chicago and Miami. and they get drunk in a bar get arrested and police from another state will call us and say You guys looking for a woman named Mary Joe? We will say yea can you send me a picture. They send you a mug shot and I will be damned that's her. So I tell the officer on the other end of the phone "Tell her to call her damn mother.." And we close the file. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY CASES ARE JUST LIKE THIS!? Most of them. Sometimes we are wrong but 90% of the times we are right..

Just because a lot of them disappear and turn up again that doesn't mean action shouldn't be taken immediately because of the chance that something actually happened to them. Just assuming that they just left and they'll turn up is a dangerous way of thinking even if you are right most of the time. Like she said what's the worst that can happen? They turn up fine? While on the other hand if you just assume they're a runaway the worst that can happen is they were actually abducted or murdered and there was nothing done about it.

Denny’s dad seems like the type that would do ANYTHING for his son...Maybe even help cleanup a crime scene? A random stranger wouldn’t have known which car was Hannah’s unless he’d been watching her beforehand.

I went to school with Hannah and Brad. I remember seeing her car sitting on that street....we called police over and over and they always said they would send someone to check it out...I know they didn't come as many times as we called. I had been to Denny's house a couple of times, with fiends, and let me tell you HE WAS SO CREEPY! His eyes were weird, like they were empty. I can't describe it. I still live in Akron and drive by Caine Rd almost every day. I don't think our police dept will ever live this down....they messed up sooo bad....sad that Denny went on to rape another girl, but at least he is in prison for that one. Honestly rape can be weird with someone who you know and have a relationship with. After my rape they found no tearing or scarring but that could be contributed to the fact that instead of fighting back i froze and let it happen. This is what happened to me so that’s the only reason when they say there was no tearing or anything i dont really see it as a very deciding factor.
Agreed. The physical evidence of rape usually comes from violent force and from a lot of fighting back. However a lot of women do NOT fight back over fear of being assaulted further, and depending on the perpetrator, not fighting back can mean they take it a lot easier on the victim. This is especially true if the attacker is already connected to the victim. My first boyfriend raped me in his bedroom, with the lights on and the door open while his parents were right upstairs. I didn't fight back. I didn't scream. I didn't want to get in trouble or have anyone see/know what was happening. It was humiliating, it was devastating, but there were no physical signs I had been assaulted....other than the fact I started self harming that night and still have the scars, so I'll never forget.

Whether it was Brad or Denny, she was in an abusive relationship and was brutally murdered, she didn’t deserve that. The poor girl just didn’t have it easy whatsoever and she was unfortunately killed in a way that is sickening. I hope she rests in peace and she is no longer hurting physically or emotionally❤️

ms. will always love my life although I don’t usually agree with cheating, she was being abused by her boyfriend so she might’ve felt like there was no escape and cheating might’ve been the only way she could feel some love. That being said, there’s no proof that Hannah was cheating, Denny could’ve raped her which is obviously not cheating. Going to someone’s house doesn’t mean she’s cheating, they could’ve been friends (even if he did murder her, she could’ve thought they were friends).
She was also her parents only child. He stole their only child and his father still makes excuses for his sociopath he raised to be so entitled he thought he deserved everything even stealing lives.

When you showed dennys house and said it was the party house with no parents and you could do whatever I was like 'oh, ok so the entitled psychopath rich boy lives there' and then he got in trouble for drugs and i was like 'yeah of course, bet it's coke and he gets no jail time' ...check. yeah i know this type and he definitely did it. Once you said his daddy got him an expensive team of lawyers? Confirmed. Other kids hang out with these types and tolerate them being total creeps (remember hannah warning her friend?) because they have the party house and its fun to go there and it just makes their behaviour worse when they already grow up spoiled by their parents.

I've been through a home invasion & I can tell you this... you never know how you'll react to a situation until you're in it. I always thought I'd be sensible & hide/play it safe. But something primal comes out & I was actually enraged & fought like a wild animal. I screamed threats, I chased after them when they left & tried to smash up their car to make it easy for police to identify. Basically all the things you're told NOT to do in that type of situation. I was almost killed, but I did leave a trail of evidence & that's exactly what I screamed at them. 'You try and kill me, I'll get your DNA all over me & all over my house mf - YOU BETTER RUN!' - I didn't say that exactly but that was the vibe I was going for. So 2 of the 3 attackers immediately bailed, the other one did initially but doubled back & tried to kill me after I fucked with his car, but I escaped. I definitely wouldn't recommend going after anyone the way I did, but I DO recommend making it damn clear that you're going to fight to the end & make it impossible to get away clean. What I want to know is what was under this girl's finger nails. Seems like she fought back, there had to have been something there...

I agree! Denny maybe had consensual sex with her that night and then her real boyfriend found out and got mad and framed Denny! It would make sense as to why they found dennys semen on her clothes- but the bite mark matching dennys teeth still doesn't make sense. I don't think denny could do this alone with a broken wrist and I fully believe her boyfriend was involved and is walking free!
The only thing thats makes me think falsely of this theory is how hannah was weary and even warned her friends about denny, so why would she sleep with him? and then especially with a boyfriend youd think that denny isnt worth it.

But the boyfriend also kept going to the police station to say they weren’t looking hard enough. He was so upfront about the scratches I just don’t believe he was done abusing her . That sounds harsh but he seemed genuinely concerned.
So many of the cases you cover involve neglect from the authorities. I understand that, with the frequency of missing persons cases, not every case can be priority #1, but still. With stories like this, I can't help but wonder how the outcome would have been different if the police had just... done their job. How could it be double jeopardy? If a juror became tainted it should have been labeled a mistrial regardless if they had came up with guilty or not guilty of anything. They should at that point disregard the verdict and do a re-trial.

I’m thinking Hannah was cheating on her boyfriend with Denny, she leaves his house and her boyfriend is waiting for her because he followed her, he kills her, takes off her clothes and plants it at Denny’s house, to get back at both of them. Just a theory.
Ellie Woodward That’s what I thought but then why hasn’t Denny turned her boyfriend in? If Denny did not know that her boyfriend killed Hannah, at least he would have been able to suspect him. Another point this theory overlooks is the scratches and bites on Hannah’s body. If they were having consensual sex then why all the scratching and biting? These things can happen during sex but Denny knew she had a boyfriend so why would he leave those on her body since her boyfriend could see them and suspect something?

Denny lied about seeing Hannah that night, he had her clothes ON his property and blood splatter on the walls (even though they said they weren't hers) and SHE called him...come on...definitely him.
Did they even investigate the car scene like for tire marks or other cars that could possibly be connected to dennys car or most likely her boyfriends car!? Wtf the cop work on this is so bad they probably could have found skin particles or hair strands. Shoe marks could definitely been found.

Doesn't necessarily mean he killed her. I'm not saying he didn't either, but people do have consensual sex, and consensual rough sex which could explain the bite mark on her arm. There was nothing linking Denny to her MURDER. Finding his semen in her underwear could just mean they hooked up that night.
"He sent an officer out to put a parking ticket" on the missing girl's car. The police are always so helpful in these missing persons cases, I don't know what we would do without them.
I wonder if they could verify that Denny got his broken arm BEFORE the murder. Because to me thats a significant point. Getting a body down stairs and into the boot of a car with a broken arm seems difficult, not impossible (could he have just let her roll down the stairs, in which case there would be evidence of that on the stairs), but difficult. And doing all of that without leaving any forensic link is hard to believe. But having said that, I find it even harder to believe that anyone other than him did this. ok so here's my theory. ik im like a year late and i keep commenting on your vids but im binge watching them during quarantine so bear w me. denny said that he had gotten in a fight earlier with someone and he didnt specify who with. the boyfriend also had injuries bc of a fight. my theory is that hannah was unhappy with her relationship with her boyfriend. she went to denny to talk to about it but it wasnt just the night that she went to go see him. i think that she had been seeing him for a while. maybe because of the new bond between denny and hannah, they started seeing eachother on a more physical level. her boyfriend found out and confronted denny about it which lead to them getting in a fight. hannah was then upset that her bf fought with denny so she got into an altercation with her boyfriend about it. possibly that night hannah went to go apologize and work things out with denny. that night they also ended up sleeping together. her bf figured that she probably went out to go see him so he followed her there and waited for her to get out. he then snatched her and out of anger strangled her to death. he then put her in the trunk of her car and posed her to make it look like she had been raped. he then took her underclothes and put it in a bag. he brought the bag to denny's place to frame him. the bf knew that denny would be persecuted because of the semen on the panties. this would also explain why there was blood in denny's place. it may have been from denny and the bf's fight. that could also explain why he didnt say that he was with hannah that night in fear of what her bf would do to him. im not saying that denny is a good guy bc obviously a good man would never wreck a relationship like that or rape. denny is disgusting for having done what he did to that other woman
except that's been disproven for multiple reasons. 1) how would the boyfriend have gotten into the home to drop the bag two stories while police were there and gotten out without anyone seeing him? 2) Denny has been proven to be a violent person. In the rape case he was charged for, he also attempted to murder the woman, but she managed to get away. This establishes a pattern. The boyfriend however, from what I could find, has only ever been charged on drug trafficking (for which he served 2 months in a correctional facility) and there have been no other instances of abuse other than in his relationship with Hannah. He was still wrong to have abused her obviously, but there's no pattern of violent behaviour outside of his relationship with Hannah. 3) In the retrial against Denny Ross, they discovered new DNA evidence that convinced the jury to come back with a guilty sentence (I don't know what this DNA evidence was, but it was obviously enough for the jury to convict him). Denny has been shown to be willing to do anything to avoid being considered guilty (he denied several plea bargains which would have had him serving less time than he is now) so why wouldn't he come forward with the truth if the boyfriend did it and threatened him? It just doesn't add up. Please stop defending a rapist and murderer. The only thing it serves to do is harm Hannah's memory and those of her family and friends that are left who have to deal with people like you trying to make her murderer out to be innocent.
@@petalsandpinstripes9905 the whole point is if the boyfriend was framing Denny then the bag wouldn't have been dropped from inside the home, the boyfriend would have just put it in line with the window to make it look like it was dropped. Like they said in the video, the bag was untied yet nothing really had fallen out, which would suggest it wasn't dropped but was placed there. Also what do you mean 'why wouldn't he come forward with the truth if the boyfriend did it and threatened him' - I'm assuming if the boyfriend did it, this was after she left Denny's place so Denny wouldn't have known. I think the OP meant that Denny was reluctant to tell the police about sleeping with Hannah for fear of the boyfriends reaction. Also Denny's denial of a plea bargain makes him appear less guilty not more, as if he knew he did it so would be convicted anyway surely he would accept the plea deal to get a lighter sentence. I personally have no idea and I'm not trying to say Denny is innocent - he could well have done it. But your arguments to 'disprove' this theory don't hold much weight.

I think the boyfriend and Ross worked together - they both had aggression issues, Hannah had been physically abused in her relationship. She apparently said to Ross that he was very controlling and wouldn’t let her see her friends - so could he have followed her that night? It was said that Ross’ place had no rules and was a party house - could the boyfriend have caught them having sex? Did the two men know each other? If so, maybe they could have shared their views on women - it was said that Ross was aggressive in getting what he wanted and we know her boyfriend attacked her. If they did know each other and held these same views - could they have set Hannah up and then killed her? It would explain the boyfriends scratches and the bite mark from Ross. Maybe they wanted to humiliate her not kill her initially but then they went too far.. then the boyfriend goes to the police and could have said that Ross was the one they should be watching, and told them about the bag of clothes, and that’s why he was dropped as a suspect.. I really don’t think anyone will ever know what really happened to Hannah unfortunately, and Ross clearly played some part in her murder, but did he act alone? I’m not so sure.

I would have thought, if they were working together, why wouldn't ross say anything about the boyfriend being involved in his defense? Especially in the retrial when he no doubt knew that he was finally going to get charged with the murder, i find it hard to believe that he would take the fall for the boyfriend? No forensic evidence to say that Denny killed her. There was evidence that they were together that night but no evidence that he did anything to her. The bite mark, it’s not as unique as a tounge print or a fingerprint, which everyone has an unique one. Teeth marks can be similar, there could be hundreds of people with similar teeth sets.
And the semen on the underwear was forensic evidence 24:15, that's the forensic evidence as well but she said that probably cause it didn't link him to the murder.
Watch the first three episodes of the innocence files and you’ll see how unreliable bite mark evidence is. Do think he was guilty though but bite mark evidence is not valid proof

The random splatters of blood ALL around Denny's apartment that didn't match up? My best guess is heroin users. When Hannah's friend Jennifer said "you could do ANYTHING at Denny's house. Anything." And the fact that denny was caught dealing coke. It doesnt mean denny himself or Hannah herself was an intraveinous user but it's very possible he had friends that did. Heroin users sometimes after getting blood into their syringe will squirt it out, leaving a splatter effect. Steve-o has a great story on that.
Denny was guilty. Yes, the officers didn’t do their jobs right. It might have been the boyfriend or both, but I say it was Denny alone. The boyfriend might have a solid alibi and that’s why he wasn’t questioned any further. I believe Denny has a sick personality, and Hannah just happened to be his first victim. He kept her belongings and probably would have kept it, if the officers didn’t come by in the first place. Why didn’t the stuff fall out of the bag? Remember they are not heavy stuff, a bloodied-fecied pants, a purse, underwear, and a pair of shoes. Depending on the size of the bag and with the stuff inside, I would say it was probably a quarter full. Maybe the shoes could have fallen out, but that depends on how the stuff was placed inside the bag.

Denny also lied multiple times in his questioning. First he says that he hasn't seen her, then says she came over, then says they kissed, then says they have consensual sex. If he was innocent, he wouldn't have to lie.
Why he would have kept the bag of clothes? Murders like to keep “trophies” of their deeds, so it wouldn’t actually be that far fetched. Mass murdered are known to keep pictures, write journals, etc of their victims. (Not saying he actually did it tho).

The details are so disturbing and he was killed by a car full of high school kids from Kirkwood. The man who murdered him is on bail last I heard. I couldn't imagine being a parent and having my daughter's case being pushed aside for a whole week and then when you finally have hope of justice, a biased jury causes him to leave with no charge. My heart truly goes out to the family.

So when I said there was no forensic evidence to link Denny to Hannah, I meant there was no forensic evidence to say it was him that killed her. Yes I know there was evidence to say they were together that night such as the semen sample, but like I said many times in the video - that doesn't mean Denny killed her - it could just mean they were together before she was killed.
In respect to the teeth marks on Hannah's arm that matched Denny's teeth - teeth shapes aren’t as unique as say a fingerprint & it’s common for people to have VERY similar teeth sets, so it’s evidence in the fact that they match the main suspect, but they could also match hundreds of other people too. So take that how you will.

Was there any DNA linking anyone else? Because if there was no DNA in the car or on Hannah that means whoever did it got lucky or cleaned well. And the circumstantial evidence against Denny carries more weight. If someone’s DNA was found, but couldn’t be identified then I’d be more inclined to believe the possibility that Denny was framed.

But there is also a possibility that they had sex and Denny kept it secret because she had a boyfriend who could beat the shit out of him. Police hadn't interviewed him until just before they arrested him, he had just told his friends and Hannah's that he hadn't seen her. Presumably because she had a known, controlling boyfriend. Idk I just don't see enough evidence to charge the man with a capital offence

We will say yea can you send me a picture. They send you a mug shot and I will be damned that's her. So I tell the officer on the other end of the phone "Tell her to call her damn mother.." And we close the file. DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW MANY CASES ARE JUST LIKE THIS!? Most of them. Sometimes we are wrong but 90% of the times we are right..

I went to school with Hannah and Brad. I remember seeing her car sitting on that street....we called police over and over and they always said they would send someone to check it out...I know they didn't come as many times as we called. I had been to Denny's house a couple of times, with fiends, and let me tell you HE WAS SO CREEPY! His eyes were weird, like they were empty. I can't describe it. I still live in Akron and drive by Caine Rd almost every day. I don't think our police dept will ever live this down....they messed up sooo bad....sad that Denny went on to rape another girl, but at least he is in prison for that one. Thank you for covering this case. I still miss my friend😢

Honestly rape can be weird with someone who you know and have a relationship with. After my rape they found no tearing or scarring but that could be contributed to the fact that instead of fighting back i froze and let it happen. This is what happened to me so that’s the only reason when they say there was no tearing or anything i dont really see it as a very deciding factor.

Agreed. The physical evidence of rape usually comes from violent force and from a lot of fighting back. However a lot of women do NOT fight back over fear of being assaulted further, and depending on the perpetrator, not fighting back can mean they take it a lot easier on the victim. This is especially true if the attacker is already connected to the victim.
My first boyfriend raped me in his bedroom, with the lights on and the door open while his parents were right upstairs. I didn't fight back. I didn't scream. I didn't want to get in trouble or have anyone see/know what was happening. It was humiliating, it was devastating, but there were no physical signs I had been assaulted....other than the fact I started self harming that night and still have the scars, so I'll never forget.

I've been through a home invasion & I can tell you this... you never know how you'll react to a situation until you're in it. I always thought I'd be sensible & hide/play it safe. But something primal comes out & I was actually enraged & fought like a wild animal. I screamed threats, I chased after them when they left & tried to smash up their car to make it easy for police to identify. Basically all the things you're told NOT to do in that type of situation.
I was almost killed, but I did leave a trail of evidence & that's exactly what I screamed at them. 'You try and kill me, I'll get your DNA all over me & all over my house mf - YOU BETTER RUN!' - I didn't say that exactly but that was the vibe I was going for.
So 2 of the 3 attackers immediately bailed, the other one did initially but doubled back & tried to kill me after I fucked with his car, but I escaped. I definitely wouldn't recommend going after anyone the way I did, but I DO recommend making it damn clear that you're going to fight to the end & make it impossible to get away clean.
What I want to know is what was under this girl's finger nails. Seems like she fought back, there had to have been something there...

How could it be double jeopardy? If a juror became tainted it should have been labeled a mistrial regardless if they had came up with guilty or not guilty of anything. They should at that point disregard the verdict and do a re-trial.

With other crime documentaries, I'm often left wondering who the victim was. It's like they didn't really exist outside of the murder. But not with Eleanor. You get into the victims mind, and their mindset. I come away from this feeling like I know the victims a little bit. Because we should know how they feel. Doesn't necessarily mean he killed her. I'm not saying he didn't either, but people do have consensual sex, and consensual rough sex which could explain the bite mark on her arm. There was nothing linking Denny to her MURDER. Finding his semen in her underwear could just mean they hooked up that night.

The police are always so helpful in these missing persons cases, I don't know what we would do without them.
I wonder if they could verify that Denny got his broken arm BEFORE the murder. Because to me thats a significant point. Getting a body down stairs and into the boot of a car with a broken arm seems difficult, not impossible (could he have just let her roll down the stairs, in which case there would be evidence of that on the stairs), but difficult. And doing all of that without leaving any forensic link is hard to believe.
But having said that, I find it even harder to believe that anyone other than him did this. ESPECIALLY after finding out he was convicted of another rape years later.

ok so here's my theory. ik im like a year late and i keep commenting on your vids but im binge watching them during quarantine so bear w me.
denny said that he had gotten in a fight earlier with someone and he didnt specify who with. the boyfriend also had injuries bc of a fight. my theory is that hannah was unhappy with her relationship with her boyfriend. she went to denny to talk to about it but it wasnt just the night that she went to go see him. i think that she had been seeing him for a while. maybe because of the new bond between denny and hannah, they started seeing eachother on a more physical level. her boyfriend found out and confronted denny about it which lead to them getting in a fight. hannah was then upset that her bf fought with denny so she got into an altercation with her boyfriend about it. possibly that night hannah went to go apologize and work things out with denny. that night they also ended up sleeping together. her bf figured that she probably went out to go see him so he followed her there and waited for her to get out. he then snatched her and out of anger strangled her to death. he then put her in the trunk of her car and posed her to make it look like she had been raped. he then took her underclothes and put it in a bag. he brought the bag to denny's place to frame him. the bf knew that denny would be persecuted because of the semen on the panties.
this would also explain why there was blood in denny's place. it may have been from denny and the bf's fight. that could also explain why he didnt say that he was with hannah that night in fear of what her bf would do to him.
im not saying that denny is a good guy bc obviously a good man would never wreck a relationship like that or rape. denny is disgusting for having done what he did to that other woman

This theory is amazing
except that's been disproven for multiple reasons. 1) how would the boyfriend have gotten into the home to drop the bag two stories while police were there and gotten out without anyone seeing him? 2) Denny has been proven to be a violent person. In the rape case he was charged for, he also attempted to murder the woman, but she managed to get away. This establishes a pattern. The boyfriend however, from what I could find, has only ever been charged on drug trafficking (for which he served 2 months in a correctional facility) and there have been no other instances of abuse other than in his relationship with Hannah. He was still wrong to have abused her obviously, but there's no pattern of violent behaviour outside of his relationship with Hannah. 3) In the retrial against Denny Ross, they discovered new DNA evidence that convinced the jury to come back with a guilty sentence (I don't know what this DNA evidence was, but it was obviously enough for the jury to convict him).
Denny has been shown to be willing to do anything to avoid being considered guilty (he denied several plea bargains which would have had him serving less time than he is now) so why wouldn't he come forward with the truth if the boyfriend did it and threatened him? It just doesn't add up. Please stop defending a rapist and murderer. The only thing it serves to do is harm Hannah's memory and those of her family and friends that are left who have to deal with people like you trying to make her murderer out to be innocent.
@@petalsandpinstripes9905 the whole point is if the boyfriend was framing Denny then the bag wouldn't have been dropped from inside the home, the boyfriend would have just put it in line with the window to make it look like it was dropped. Like they said in the video, the bag was untied yet nothing really had fallen out, which would suggest it wasn't dropped but was placed there. Also what do you mean 'why wouldn't he come forward with the truth if the boyfriend did it and threatened him' - I'm assuming if the boyfriend did it, this was after she left Denny's place so Denny wouldn't have known. I think the OP meant that Denny was reluctant to tell the police about sleeping with Hannah for fear of the boyfriends reaction. Also Denny's denial of a plea bargain makes him appear less guilty not more, as if he knew he did it so would be convicted anyway surely he would accept the plea deal to get a lighter sentence. I personally have no idea and I'm not trying to say Denny is innocent - he could well have done it. But your arguments to 'disprove' this theory don't hold much weight.

I think the boyfriend and Ross worked together - they both had aggression issues, Hannah had been physically abused in her relationship. She apparently said to Ross that he was very controlling and wouldn’t let her see her friends - so could he have followed her that night? It was said that Ross’ place had no rules and was a party house - could the boyfriend have caught them having sex? Did the two men know each other? If so, maybe they could have shared their views on women - it was said that Ross was aggressive in getting what he wanted and we know her boyfriend attacked her. If they did know each other and held these same views - could they have set Hannah up and then killed her? It would explain the boyfriends scratches and the bite mark from Ross. Maybe they wanted to humiliate her not kill her initially but then they went too far.. then the boyfriend goes to the police and could have said that Ross was the one they should be watching, and told them about the bag of clothes, and that’s why he was dropped as a suspect.. I really don’t think anyone will ever know what really happened to Hannah unfortunately, and Ross clearly played some part in her murder, but did he act alone? I’m not so sure.
Also the blood at the apartment would most likely have come from fights during parties, I don’t find that too unusual. Especially as none of it was Hannah’s blood - but if she was strangled to death like the autopsy report showed, there wouldn’t necessarily be any blood anyway

I would have thought, if they were working together, why wouldn't ross say anything about the boyfriend being involved in his defense? No forensic evidence to say that Denny killed her. There was evidence that they were together that night but no evidence that he did anything to her. The bite mark, it’s not as unique as a tounge print or a fingerprint, which everyone has an unique one. Teeth marks can be similar, there could be hundreds of people with similar teeth sets.
And the semen on the underwear was forensic evidence 24:15, that's the forensic evidence as well but she said that probably cause it didn't link him to the murder.
Watch the first three episodes of the innocence files and you’ll see how unreliable bite mark evidence is. Do think he was guilty though but bite mark evidence is not valid proof

The random splatters of blood ALL around Denny's apartment that didn't match up? My best guess is heroin users. When Hannah's friend Jennifer said "you could do ANYTHING at Denny's house. Anything." And the fact that denny was caught dealing coke. It doesnt mean denny himself or Hannah herself was an intraveinous user but it's very possible he had friends that did. Heroin users sometimes after getting blood into their syringe will squirt it out, leaving a splatter effect. Steve-o has a great story on that.
Also explains the feces in the underwear. If she was a fairly new user... Stuff messes up the guts.

Denny was guilty. Yes, the officers didn’t do their jobs right. It might have been the boyfriend or both, but I say it was Denny alone. The boyfriend might have a solid alibi and that’s why he wasn’t questioned any further. I believe Denny has a sick personality, and Hannah just happened to be his first victim. He kept her belongings and probably would have kept it, if the officers didn’t come by in the first place. Why didn’t the stuff fall out of the bag? Remember they are not heavy stuff, a bloodied-fecied pants, a purse, underwear, and a pair of shoes. Depending on the size of the bag and with the stuff inside, I would say it was probably a quarter full. Maybe the shoes could have fallen out, but that depends on how the stuff was placed inside the bag.

Denny also lied multiple times in his questioning. First he says that he hasn't seen her, then says she came over, then says they kissed, then says they have consensual sex. If he was innocent, he wouldn't have to lie.

Why he would have kept the bag of clothes? Murders like to keep “trophies” of their deeds, so it wouldn’t actually be that far fetched. Mass murdered are known to keep pictures, write journals, etc of their victims. (Not saying he actually did it tho).

The details are so disturbing and he was killed by a car full of high school kids from Kirkwood. The man who murdered him is on bail last I heard. It is so heartbreaking and nobody really knows about him. It happened august 2017.
