  • Join me as I ride my 2015 Honda Grom OG and review my first impressions after owning the Grom for 1000km. I cover topics like cost of ownership, who the Honda Grom would be good for, and if the Honda Grom a good first bike.
    I briefly compare the Honda Grom to the Honda CRF250L that I owned and talk about it's similarities and differences.
    Check out my channel for more videos related to Japanese motorcycles and cars, a lot of which are Honda's.

    We have one of a similar engine but not a Grom, it's now covered 250k kilometres and still running okay smooth. Just regular maintenance using Castrol fully syn oil, the only thing we have to replace was piston ring once. Honda reliability is amazing.

    • @RideYEG

      @@RideYEG yep, it's called XRM my family has it in the Philippines, its semi auto gearbox, has gears but clutchless like the Cub. Bought brand new in 2006 as daily runner for our business, fast forward 2021 still running, we're aiming to achieve 500k kilometres and hopefully Honda will buy it back for good money as promotion lol.

      @jeremycubs8331 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Gibbon Yes, the bike is 15 years old this year. I'm 100% sure it's the same engine as the Grom, however being 2006 model it isn't fuel injected yet but never had an issue with the carb. apart from general cleaning and servicing of the bike.

    I have a route from home to work that makes me go over a couple of overpasses their speed limits are 35 mph. Can the grom do that up a steep overpass or will it bog down and lose power up a small steep hill?

    • @RideYEG
      @RideYEG  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      35mph is about 56km/h in Canadian 😂 so I think you should be fine. I can hit 70km/h (43mph) pretty comfortably but I'm about 138lbs. If you're under 200 lbs I think you'll be okay✌️
