You clearly know your stuff, but looks like far too much work. I was just trying to age a watch strap. I’ll probably just end up buying one that’s already been “distressed.”

What if you want a light Grey
can you water it down and get a lighter gray? may try this on a pair of shoes I have been trying to dye gray.

Yes. The steel is what makes the black colour.

Does the leather already have a finish on it ? Vinegaroon on is for unfinished leather only.
