I freaking love your leather videos. I've been searching for videos like this for WEEKS and I finally struck gold with your leather working videos. You are the man!
Man oh man, where are your subs hiding, man? Y'all should be up there with the big ones with this tutorial! Straight forward, careful, patient, and filled with info!
My son-in-law loved the Nine Line wallet that you made for him last Christmas. It really was a great piece and a perfect gift! You're getting busy enough to need some hardworking assistants pretty soon. You have my old "I knew you back when..." application...it's still good! 😉
God, I learned a lot from this video thank you. I’ve been trying to figure out a way to crackle leather but there is no tutorial anywhere on how to do this, since you are a professional leather worker I am wondering if you knew any methods on how to quickly age and crackle leather???
@@southbounddiaries I'm sure it will. Your laser engraving technique worked perfectly. Very generous of you to share your knowledge. And your presentation skill is also great. Thanks again
Do you use Feibing’s pro dye, regular or something else? Do you dip, use a dauber or airbrush the dye? Love your videos. New subscriber. Hopefully your numbers will go up quickly, b/c the content is excellent. Thank you.
Not trying to be a dick.. but that definitely didn't look distressed after all of that. It looked like a brand new leather wallet, lol. I definitely enjoyed the video and the level of detail you put into it, just not what I imagine when thinking of distressed leather.

Thank you brother. I've got a special one I'm working on. Hoping to get it up tomorrow. A leather bracelet with a very special meaning.

Thanks brother.
Wonderful craftsmanship..
I'm working on an old timey book style and this helped me thanks.

You ready for a job PB?😁😁😁
@@southbounddiaries Still...patiently...waiting....🤫
Fine job showing how to distress the face of the leather. How about a tip on how to distress the edges of a good piece of hide?
Hide in not so versed in but I'm gonna look into it.
I’d buy a shirt that says “don’t lean in on it” 😂
Hilarious
You're like the Bob Ross of leather.
Great video! Exactly what I needed to know.
nice, well done!
Another great video.
Thank you. I've got more coming just wide open with Christmas orders.
@@southbounddiaries Same here but with my 3D printing business.

Quick aging can be done by sanding and working the leather more. I've actually seen people tie leather behind cars and drive around parking lots
thank you so much
Thanks for making this.
Very welcome. Hope it helps.

cool stuff. Are you cutting by hand or using a laser, stamper, or something else to cut your patterns?
Everything is laser cut.
Nice Work!
Would love to know what brand/color dye you used on this wallet. It’s beautiful!
Feibings pro dye chocolate
Forj'd America Thank you!! Love your work!
Hello.
How to making crack wrinkled effect to leather?
Continuing to work leather will give you a more worn look. You can also sand it more.
What dye do you use? That chocolate brown is dope!
Fiebings Pro Dye
Do you plan on doing a video with how you use your laser? I just received an Ortur Laser Master 2 and want to use it for leather work as well.
I'll post a video on the beginnings of laser engraving.
@@southbounddiaries Thank you. Wetting the leather already helped from the other video.
Any other oil that can be used? Maybe mineral oil?
I only use Neats Foot
Love the leather videos! Quick question about the laser engraving, how do you get text to stand out? Is it just a deeper engrave?
Engrave at slower speeds. Engrave before you dye.
Do you use Feibing’s pro dye, regular or something else? Do you dip, use a dauber or airbrush the dye? Love your videos. New subscriber. Hopefully your numbers will go up quickly, b/c the content is excellent. Thank you.
I do use their pro dye. I dip dye.
I just love your work. Can you please tell me the thickness in mm on the leather you use for the wallet. And do you sell the pattern for it?
Wallets are 3-4 ounce leather. We use lasers to cut and engrave our leather. I can see if the file is transferable.
@@southbounddiaries Thanks. I have a laser too :-) Would love the file
Hi again ;-) Any chance of buying that file, so Denmark can enjoy your lovely design :-)
@@charlotteheide2638 I'll look at trying to transfer it. Do you have EngraveLab?
@@southbounddiaries Thanks :-) But I use Lightburn. But can import PFD, SVG and DXF files, if you can share in any of those :-)
Do you sell you laser designs?
Do you recall what color dye you used for this project?
Fiebings Pro Dye Chocolate
What stamps do you use for your letters
I use a laser to engrave all of our leather.
Thank yous o much I really enjoy your videos :)
Thank you
I can’t find “resilene”, do you have a link to the product?
That is Fiebing's Resolene. Google that phrase and it will be easy to find at almost any leather supplier.
It's like Bob Ross has been reincarnated as a tanner...
Thanks Again. I can't find your tutorial on dying leather. ;-)
Do you dip dye yours?
I'm doing a leather dying video today.
Y’all do exotic leather?
Very little
Did you do any edge finishing at the end?
We do depending on the piece. I'm going to do a video on our edging process. Our edging process prior to dying usually leaves us with a smooth edge.
Sometimes one just need to go straight to the point, the video will be shorter and more attractive.
