I always found it interesting that childe is shown to be consumed by the foul legacy. His lines immediately get much more sinister and unlike him. Literally all playfulness gone the second he enters the form.

This just confirms it for me, since I was thinking about it for some time now, and since the Fatui are too investigating the Abyss Order, it's no surprise that they gained some of their elemental skills. Especially with shields.
The Four Legacy transformation It's like some kind of Electro Herald, and every Fatui soldier has a skill too, and even visions, this leads me to think that the Fatui soldiers has some kind of a "better Delusion", since it would be terrible if your army could live just for a few weeks.
So, yeah, the Fatui are only powerful thanks to the Abyss. I wonder what the Abyss has for us in the future.. :³
I'm glad someone saw how similar those two attacks are, and I knew I picked a good name for Childe's attack. ^^
