Really impressed by the depth some of these characters have. Childe is not evil for the sake of evil or wholly prideful. His connection with the traveler in respect to treasuring family is palpable. While it is speculative whether or not his mention of wanting to join the traveler on their journey is genuine, if there was anyone else who could understand the traveler's motivation and share their emotions . It is him.

I never once loved a character _this_ much. Haikyuu is one thing, but Childe is on a whole different level. He knocked my standards for a guy up higher and I'll probably be single for another 10 years or so.

If he is in a situation where he has to pick whether he’ll choose his family or keep his position as a Harbinger, I would assume Childe will choose his family and disregard his position. I love Childe so much. Among all the characters in Genshin, I feel like he shows the most emotions. He shows a lot of different facial expressions in this quest. His voice actor is also great which helped a lot. You can tell just by looking at him that if he's excited, helpless, concern, worried, awkward, shy, confident etc... It makes him so cute~
I love how in the Japanese dub at 1:45, Paimons lines are "So you've finally noticed us, ONIICHAN" in a mocking way. It's so funny and cute at the same time.
If you compare childe to all the other harbingers we know so far childe is the most nicest and kindest I can see why people love this guy especially because of childe side story ♥️🥺♥️🥺♥️

My favorite quest so far. You get tricked into thinking he's the evil one, but he wasn't lying when he said he was just a pawn. Even if The Traveler and Childe have different views, it's interesting to see how you make up with him in the end. He doesn't want to hurt you, but he's ordered to because it's out of his control and he's just someone who wants to look out for his family. Such a deep character. Not all Harbingers are bad. They just have to serve their God. Maybe it's against their will. We won't know until we reach the end of the story. At the end of the day though, Childe is one of the good ones, but fights for the wrong cause whether it's out of his control or not.

Yeah, throughout the whole game, I regretted that I didn't choose a male traveler but playing Childe's quest made me so grateful I actually chose Lumine for the first time.
26:44 is my favorite scene from the game so far, it's short and not all that significant, but something about the way it's done, and the music just makes it really neat to me.

@@nobblkpraetorian5623 at this point in time, in honkai, the other game mihoyo made before genshin, 1 playable character has been permanently killed off, the fandom is bracing for possibly another playable character death based on a teaser trailer of an unreleased story chapter. You will miss these days of peace. They have another game called honkai gakuen/gun girls z where based on the animated cutscene, ends with literally everyone dying. You can still play characters that have been killed off, just that they won't appear in any of the cutscenes ever again, never have another quest relating to them, etc.

Fun Fact : I dont have Genshin Impact... So i just watch videos like this and all. The very first character I fell *inlove* with was Tartaglia. I would click every comic video where Childe is there. But one thing I noticed was for some reason he was always bad treated or like people didnt trust and all. But i did t care until 2 week before I found out this Prince is actually the Antagonist and tried to destroy Liyue... LOL THAT DDINT MATTER TO ME I LOVE HIM NO MATTER WHAT HAHAHA and of course once I found I went into a deeper search and well found out it was planned and there were safety measures and yadi adiyada ( I dunno how to explain ). Basically overall he was just doing his job and didnt really want to harm the people.

@@nobblkpraetorian5623 at this point in time, in honkai, the other game mihoyo made before genshin, 1 playable character has been permanently killed off, the fandom is bracing for possibly another playable character death based on a teaser trailer of an unreleased story chapter. You will miss these days of peace. They have another game called honkai gakuen/gun girls z where based on the animated cutscene, ends with literally everyone dying. You can still play characters that have been killed off, just that they won't appear in any of the cutscenes ever again, never have another quest relating to them, etc.

But one thing I noticed was for some reason he was always bad treated or like people didnt trust and all. But i did t care until 2 week before I found out this Prince is actually the Antagonist and tried to destroy Liyue...

Before this story quest, I used to think that Childe was kinda irredeemable, but now I somewhat forgive what he’s done
mihoyo are fucking geniuses. i applaud their storytelling. how the hell did i go from being incredibly skeptical about this guy, to hating him and then finally liking him a lot? what a great redemption arc.
Despite Childe being a terrorist and almost destorying a big city, he is a nice guy.
I pity him. He’s the youngest harbringer and he does his job to provide his family. He’s fundamentally a nice guy just in the wrong side :(
he was manipulated. according to the actual translation, he didn't really want to hurt innocent people and it was probably a last resort :(
