I got mine about two weeks ago ( Stainless steel, black dial). I love this watch. The bracelet is surprisingly good. I did replace the clasp for a premium one. I have the same complaints as the review, but I got it for just over 300.00. For what I paid, I am very happy with it. It's a looker.👍🏼
Oh man, I'm obsessed with this watch in the stainless steel version. This will be my first Seiko. I'm just waiting for the hype and price to drop. I can even forgive Seiko for not adding sapphire in this price range. It's just such a great watch to look at it.
This Field GMT needs a nickname. It's so good. The SKX GMT is great looking, but inherited all the things about the SKX that kept me from loving it both in photos and on my wrist all day. Field MGT prices are already dropping towards $300 online, and in that range it's a killer choice. I think I'm going to be recommending this to a lot of people
It does, the black one is the deception and the steel is deploy. Doesn't feel like a proper nickname when seiko chose it. Nicknames are given, not set my manufacturer.
Had the SSK023 version for a few weeks now, replaced the bracelet for black leather, big improvement, have ordered theSSK 027 / SBSC009 version white dial from Japan. Will be fitting saphire crystal to both.
For it's size I wish they had made the lug to lug shorter because I love the dial and how they blacked out the stem on the GMT hand. Also, if we're talking about true NATO strap designs, they typically employ one piece buckles. The "premium" buckles on more expensive signature NATOs are often larger and use spring bars.
The buckle of NATO straps isn’t a “spring bar”, it’s solid. And with the prong of the buckle, and the surrounding strap material, the buckle is stronger and less likely to fail than a spring bar, which has more direct pressure applied to it at all times, given the angle of wear. So, you can try to *justify* your strap, but it’s still more likely to fail than a NATO…..
Missed opportunity to name this BUY THIS WATCH (Thank me later PT2), because honestly both this family of Seiko 5 gmt's and the original GMT release from Seiko are gorgeous
I've seen watches with screw down crown fill up with water more often than watch without it because the owner didn't screw down the crown tight enough or didn't know or got lazy about the screw down feature. Love your channel.

"invented"
Give up on the zero pass
Yess no saphire but the seikos are so sexy and the originals…. Hardlex are strong. They crystals are not bad. And looks cleaner than the cheap saphire from pagani and so ob
Shut up
"invented"😂😂😂😂
The US patent office agrees 😉
Not true (traveller) GMT, just "office" GMT.
It's a bit of joke. The hands look cheap Cheap mineral crystal. The strap is awful. The display back is not needed on a plain industrial movement. San Martin do it far better
Diver one is better, that field gmt is a total mess up.
looks like a Pilot - Diver wannabe
It’s not a real GMT so…..
You didn't invent shit but a regular ass strap with extra steps. You invented fashion nato.
Anyone defending hardlex, find another hobby.
Spec for spec, Seiko's are a giant ripoff.
watch collecting is about more than just specs
Ripoff of what?

Exactly , not too unlike selecting your partner, or picking out the car you want to own, etc.
It’s not like comparing insurance policy quotes .
If i can by that exact same movement in a pagani for $140 aud there's absolutely no good reason to f'ing pay $540 for shitbox seiko. Let me guess it doesn't even have sapphire crystal. Absolute rubbish.
Not having sapphire is pathetic
Definitely make a good argument. I think it’s totally fair if you want to have a watch collection that isn’t worth excessive amounts but you can have a good variety of watches for various occasions.
I would consider it as a alternative, but that Pagani logo design is hideous!
Imagine buying a pagani 😅 there’s always these sheeps crying about the “build quality”, the “value for money”,… Let’s be completely honest here, you’re never buying pagani because it’s a pagani, you’re buying the best fake, the closest thing to your dream watch that you could afford with your ant sized budget AND you have to come up with something to justify your purchase. What a joke.
No one forces you to buy it instead of a cheap Chinese knock off brand with dubious quality. Also crying about prices of watches in the budget class is atleast free.
