This movie has childhood trauma written all over it. I think the worst part was at the beginning of the film when Olivia is hidden in the kitchen right before Fidget breaks through the door like super-strong demon. I'm pretty sure I had nightmares about that scene and couldn't watch it again when I was little. Ratigan is also just too unhinged and scary for younger audiences. I dare say this should have been rated PG-13 just based on the amount of terror it inflicted/imprinted on millions of kids.
I’m not a sadist. But I like the fact that fidget hurts Basil with the instrument and Dawson with the marbles to the face. If Dawson listened to Basil and watched Olivia they wouldn’t get hurt; also if Basil listened to Dawson he would of saw the list and immediately knew Olivia was a target. Neither of them listen. Fidget on the other listens. Which is why IMO he outsmarts Dawson and Basil. Note: I hate it when people don’t listen.

The manner in which Fidget leaps from one chimney to another could have inspired the storyboard of Kronk attempting to cast Kuzco over a waterfall in THE EMPEROR'S NEW GROOVE.
