In the 80s this was the place to go on Saturday......The Wellgate was buzzing....with people. One of James Parr's buildings that survived Dundee's transformation. Would love to run down the access ramps in the center as a kid...great video.
Great video! It was still a great place right up till the late 2000s, but once the new Overgate and the Kingsway retail park opened it took a massive hit and quickly went down hill. Hopefully when this mad obsession with minimalism and blandness is over it can be redesigned.

Ah the Tesco ,i remember being refused booze aged 23....1983.
The Wellgate I am sad to say has become an eyesore, it shold be demolished and the area put back the way it was before the Wellgate Center was built.
