    I was getting both the high pitch squealing and the slow fill. I watched this video and gave it a try. I took the hoses off of the inlet valve and the screens were definitely clogged with crud. I cleaned them out and reconnected the hoses and boom! Worked perfectly, no noise and full stream of water going into the drum. For me, there was no need to replace the valve. Thanks for the info!

      Thank YOU also for explaining the noise. I think it's a inlet valve issue for me too but no squeak; it's more like a scraping/maybe like it's trying to cough up stuff. Hard to explain. But no scraping from drum or anything since it's not agitating but is filling.

      Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. Don’t recall any squealing, however it may be related.

    My makes a choking sound ? Checked hoses , there not the problem also checked the intake screens , still it slow to fill and makes choking noise?

    • @DIYwithMichaelBorders
      @DIYwithMichaelBorders  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching & welcome to the DIY Raptor Club. You may just have a damaged inlet valve. Behind the screens are inlet valves, one on Cold, one on Hot, that may be beginning to flutter as it fills. The inlet valves close to not allow water to continually flow into washer when it is not running. Replacing this entire part will hopefully fix your issue. Please keep us posted.

      Thanks for watching & that’s no fun. Have you pinpointed what’s causing the sound? Brand new machines shouldn’t make any odd sounds.

      Thanks for watching & this part is slightly different in design as those inside front load washer however your screens on back of machine where hoses connect to are the same.
