SOLVED-WHIRLPOOL Washer SLOW Water Flow-Filter/Screen Clean Out-10 Min Repair

  • Today it took me 2 1/2 hours to run this washer from start to finish, so I knew something was wrong with it. It is also a fairly newer Whirlpool washer. My guess it's 5-8 years old. The model number for it is WTW5000DW2. After this quick repair, it takes about 30 minutes to run it now. I recommend cleaning these screens/filters out if you have a similiar water flow issue and it takes a long time for your washer to do it's job. Hope this helps and shows you how to solve your problem. Hit the subscribe and like button if the video helped you out.

    That was the answer! My machine stopped agitating because it wasn't getting enough water. It's whistling right along now!

    Muchas gracias Sr, ty Sr. :3

    I went from 2 1/2 hours of washer time to ABOUT 30 minutes after this clean out. I'm tying to get to 1,000 subscribers. Hit my subscribe button if this video helped you out!

    My plastic screens broke when I tried to take them out. I am having trouble finding something for my specific washer model number, but my screens look like yours and my washer is a whirlpool. Are all interchangeable?

      I’m guessing they are. It’s a standard hose. Imagine they won’t be expensive at all.

    wait how do you get it to full with the lid open? you placed your screwdrive inside the lock and I tried the same thing it wouldn't work

      It self senses the load, and I was unable to see it full up. The screwdriver trick may or may not work for you.

      I unscrewed the hook from the top and when I want to wash a load I just insert the hook into the bottom

    What happened if you used the washer without the screen filters?

    • @Hipiam
      @Hipiam  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great question. I'm not sure. Guessing it would still work ok and have a lot better washer pressure. The water just runs down the drain after washing anyway :)

      I'm having a situation, I just bought a second hand used pair of washer and dryer.. , and my washer has this weird thing to stop filling the water.. there's a sensing lightbulb that light up steady right after I start the cycle , than not matter what cycle I used it doesn't fill up just 1/4 tank.. it pissed me off that this one has 5 knobs and know one has a stupid water level option... So much innovations and stuff but they make stuff worse this days

      @@Brianmw305i Oh man. That sucks. Keep searching TH-cam. I’m not an expert on my machine. Just got lucky. Hang in there.

      Sorry. Helped me. It may be a water pressure feed issue. Check the supply lines/rubber hose lines that screw into the washer. May be clogged there too.
