Since you guys are my most reliable source for information about the chinese car industry, wouldn't it be great if you made, perhaps on the main channel, weekly news video.
My point is that once having watched reviews of so many interesting cars I'd like to keep track of how those are selling, late updates, specific problems, plans and the likes...

Great talk. Good points. Everyone into cars think of the question and either hate it or love the idea.

11:07 "all it takes is a couple of years of messing up and the Chinese market will swallow you whole"
Prime case with Baojun. Selling a massive 1 million cars in 2017 to being on track to sell only 150,000 in 2021. It's insane how quickly the Chinese market can decimate a brand

As you mentioned Toyota dominate certain segments globally, as do Mercedes. Market conditions are there for China, or anyone else, to develop an EV people want at a price they can afford. A lot of country's local manufacturing has died. Maybe it will come back when automation really takes off, and local wages are less of an issue than transportation costs.

Interesting topic, EV here in Australia there not enough power stations to run EV cars but believe Hybrid diesel vehicles will be popular. Chinese car makers will have bigger share if politics don’t put Australians buyers off. To be top in market it’s having dealerships servicing n testing vehicles here, Q do you think Chinese car companies will build big pickup trucks like Dodge Ram?

That’s a great question, and one that we have also given some thought. Chinese pickup truck market was previously hindered by the fact that many major cities like Shanghai did not allow vehicles with open beds into the city center. That regulation has been loosened lately, so we’re expecting consumer demand for pickups to increase in the near future. As for a pickup as large as a Dodge Ram or Ford F-150, only time will tell. We drive an F-150 in Shanghai for a day, and we can tell you that it felt absolutely MASSIVE. Still, some consumers actually enjoy that feeling, so there could be a market there.

I think it's not, and never.
Most people don't allow Chinese cars to do that, I believe, especially racing games and driving simulator games are usually not allow non-Japanese Asian cars to appear in the game.

Cars need to be licensed on a per car, or per brand level. The reason that Japanese cars are the only Asian cars you see in games is because most of the other ones are boring or junk. If China produces a car that catches people's attention, then devs will want to feature it in their games.
