An absolutely amazing product and it's officially licensed by GM to keep your C8 Corvette working as good as it looks! Come say hi and grab your protection kit at my booth at Corvettes at Carlisle and SAVE yourself money just for doing it at the show! Spot IG-118 and Spot IG-117. 👍👍
Scrape Armor has the GM authorized Z06 Front and side air intake guards in RND currently! They are completely different and will be launching shortly after the Z06 release. Hit Justin up here as an authorized seller of Scrape Armor!
That is the most complete but difficult install.i have I stalled ez screen which I'm sorry to say no longer available and it takes about 15 min. To install works fine its a fabric type screen and works great hope they start selling them again
Thank you for this video! I just purchased them with an install from GM with points to be installed at the dealer when I pick up the car next week. After watching this I know I made the right decision getting this brand and having it professionally installed. He made it look easy. Is it a concern not having a side one for the Z51?
You're very welcome. Definitely highly recommend these. The side intake grills are coming soon but if you aren't tracking it, it's not a huge concern right away.
Looks like it definitely worth the money! I don’t think I’d do any type of long highway drives with a new C8 before installing those!! Side note! Looks like your TRX could use a good wash!
No included tool kit on my package. Now I have to go out and buy the tools and delay the install. I even called the vendor before purchasing and they told me the tool kit was included. Hope I am not missing anything else that’s supposed to be “ included “.
From what I understand they stopped including the tool in the kits sold to or distributed to dealerships because they were installing them for customers and had stacks of tool kits that they didn't need.
@@HorsePowerObsessed , I suppose I can understand the logic of that. But Let’s face it, who is really profiting from that move ? Also, as I stated earlier, if I had been forewarned before purchasing, than I would have been prepared to install immediately instead of having to delay in order to acquire the necessary tools. These install videos should be updated with the correct information so any future buyers know the truth.
@@HorsePowerObsessed Not what I meant. Why doesn't Chevy recall the cars and do it. Customers shouldn't have to fix their downfalls. It's unfair for owners of the Vette to have to pay for this stuff
@@richardgrable6741 unfair for customers indeed, but we have to thank Scott for taking the time to develop these! He saw an opportunity why not take it 😉🤩
After doing alot of research bugs and stone chips will not cause sufficient damage to the radiator filters. It's only a cosmetic issue. You can replace the original filters for less than two hundred dollars each. Selling radiator covers is only another way of someone making money for something not needed.
The kit purchased from the dealership doesn’t come with the tool kit. You have to buy it from Scrape Armor’s website to get the tool kit. I’ve seen it done in 11 minutes.
Come on GM, you already know this is an issue on the C8. A 106K+ C8 Z06 should not have the same problem. The part should be standard and installed at the manufacturing plant. Stop being cheap and lazy. Build a quality product.
Do not purchase the kit form Chevrolet because it will not include the tool kit! Chevrolet expects it to be installed at your dealer so they do not include the tool kit for the same price...and you will pay for installation...rip off!
Probably any GM Dealers will NOT have the Tool Kit. Bought mine from Wildhammer online. I even called them before purchasing and specifically asked to make sure the Tool Kit was included. They said it was included. I don’t think they intentionally lied but they also did not bother checking themselves to make sure it was in the package . So now I have to purchase a mini ratchet set that includes the required 7mm and T15 bits to remove and install.
I called Scrape Armor directly and they sent me a complete tool kit. Give a call and tell them it was not included in the purchase. @@hurricanebillbass1
Hey, hit Justin up here on the channel! I was selling them at Carlisle for $359. Normally $399. We'll get you free shipping too! We'll take care of you!
Looks like a good product but installation looks terrible or maybe camera angles are to blame. Don’t know what it was but not pleasant to watch. I know you said the guy is a pro but in between a bunch of grunts and shaking hands it looks not great. I know it’s a tight area to work it but I guess this is how it it live no editing. They changed that recently due to the large majority of these installs happening at the dealership where the technicians were collecting these tool kits and selling them on ebay afterwards because the original purchaser wasn't even using the tool kit.
The product is good, but you do not get a tool kit if you don’t purchase directly from scrapearmor. I call bullshit false advertising. Pisses me off. And you heard what the guy says during this video.

I remember Tadge flat out stating these will void warranty, then they come out with them later.
Thank you for not editing out much and double speeding. Good video!
Thank you!!
Very useful video prior to a first timer doing this install. Thanks Scott@Scrape Armor and Justin.
Thank you!!
Looks like A high-quality product!!!!
Very high quality!
Just had these added to my ‘Vette at Corvette World Dallas. Great product. Superb service.
💯

Who set up the Race ramps?
🙋♂️
Just curious, which ramps were used? Should jack stands also be placed underneath while using ramps? Just bought these guards
Race Ramps. No need for jack stands with these. amzn.to/48zoS7V

They will not! GM authorized Z06 will be launching shortly after the release!
Coming soon!
Will you guys be coming to Texas?
Why can’t I find a good link to order?
Does the center section of the front end require a radiator protector on the c8 Zo6
Yes it does. You can see the install here: th-cam.com/video/Tw0LrhgX6Rs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mM-x27EB6MvXfw90
@@HorsePowerObsessed thank you does it come with the kit? In this video I only saw the 2 outer grills done.
Yes it comes with the z06 kit. Just make sure you order the correct one for your car.
👍 thank you
@paulmichaelssalon you’re welcome!
Thanks for this.
My pleasure!
What about the center radiator cover for the Z06?
In the works as we speak!

100% right! My TRX is filthy! She will be getting some TLC when I get home!
How much are owners paying their Chevrolet service shop to install these guards?
Please provide the price. Thank you
Normally 399.99 but for the show, they are 359.99.
Geez. Thats expensive for some mesh wire. The fancy box it comes in is worth $200

That’s not true. There have been a few documented cases of rocks or road debris puncturing a radiator and needing replaced.

It's actually quite simple, if you aren't a person who normally wrenches on their own car then it could be installed by GM for a small fee.
