I received the rock guards for my C8 today (1/5/23) and they have been successfully installed. Packaging is great, the product looks great on the car (my opinion of course). I do have one suggestion, to say more about installation realities. Here's my installation experiece. For those of us unfamiliar with the fastening clips, undoing that first clip is absolutely scary. After the first one and as you move on you develop a feel and after that first clip, I installed all 4 in about 40 minutes taking my time. I found the rear easier than the front which is not what I expected. I also had 4 clips where the original guard pulled out of the clip (maybe operator error). No big deal, I just pulled the clip from the mounting with a pair of needle-nose pliers. I used a wooden hammer handle as leverage against the tire to ease the new clips into place. I found this much easier than muscling them in by hand. Bottom line is that I am happy with my purchase. I have no doubt that the ACS rock guards will provide improved protection over stock.
Heads up - when you remove the factory guards BE SURE that all of the clips are removed and attached to the original unit - if not, you must dig them out before trying to insert the ACS Composite guards. This should be part of the instructions and this video - I love the product, I've used them on my C7 Z06 as well.
Had these on my C7. They look great and work well. In fact, they themselves look so good that I was sad when the did their job and recieved rock marks.
Joseph, I installed my rock guards on my recently acquired C8 today. I referred to your video a couple times during the install. One thing, tho' ... Why not, for a few dollars more, include a plastic molding removal tool with the guards, or at least make it optional. I have a few molding removal tools that I bought when I installed ACS rock guards on my C7, but they are all 'flat', not bent like the tool used in your video. Otherwise, great product, and a great tutorial. Best .. 👌
Just watched the video a 2nd time after we talked, Joseph. I like the appearance better ON the car versus by themselves as pictured on your site. I also can see where a lot of thought went into the design and functions aspects of these guards. I’ll be ordering them along with a few other items. Thanks very much, Joseph.
Love then on my 2022 C8. Cracked one - right front - had to buy 2 because new design. Only negative I would say is the cost is crazy. Love to know the GPM on these things?
Personally , I prefer my tires to be flush with the wheel well. In this case would it be helpful to go with the smaller version or would the larger version look better?
Good question! We don’t know for certain yet. The fenders and quarters were different on the C7, but the rock guards fit. However, when that happened with the Gen6 Camaro we had to come out with a new version.
It has nothing to do with the plastic used. Although, yes, technically, our plastic is higher tech since we are blending it. However, pricing has everything to do with the engineering, tooling, volume and paint of the final product. If we were pumping them 1:1 as GM and offering them raw, then we’d be in that ball park. Not what we are trying to do with this version of a rock guard. Thanks for your comment 👍
I bought them. I also thought they were a bit pricey but when I considered the cost of the car and the cost of repairing the car, the cost for these gets lost in the noise. Time will tell as far as how well they hold up but it's good looking product and should provide superior protection.
Just installed replacement one on my C8 because I cracked the last one. Had to order 2 @ $300+. It was not that easy doing the install. For the price of these items - which is great - the plastic tool should be included IMHO. Would have been nice not to have to pay for 2 vs just the one I needed - disappointed way I was treated. The ones I received were identical to the ones installed before.
It's nice and I really like your products, but can't justify and know I'm being raked over the head with an extremely high cost. It's not that I can't afford them, I just feel foolish paying this much.
Hi Brian, we completely understand the feeling and the question. The retail price is based on manufacturing and volume. In comparison, you can consider a very cost effective solution, the GM guards (shown in the video), which we offer at $189 for a set of four. You can even find these cheaper at your local dealer saving the shipping charges. Here are a few more reasons why we think you get the value you pay for when choosing the ACS Rock Guards: 1) The GM guards are made in China; ACS are made in North America using raw materials from around North America. You are getting a superior product all around. 2) GM guards are not painted, which means zero additional labor. ACS Rock Guards are manually masked, sanded and baked in CFZ for a matching finish worthy of the C8. 3) GM guards are made in a very soft, non durable plastic. ACS guards are made in a tough PC composite material that is resistant to high heat temps, and within harsh conditions. 4) GM guards offer nearly no protection. ACS guards offer practically full protection. 2x more than GM's 5) It's a volume game. GM sells tens of thousands since most buyers select them when ordering the car and do not full understand the lack of protection until seen in person. ACS parts are targeting the true auto enthusiast seeking the best quality whether that is for performance, protection, or looks. In turn, our volume is in the tune 100s, economy of scale is working against us. But, the ones who appreciate our design; value the part. Let us know if you have any other questions..

I've got these on my 2023 Stingray and they're AMAZING quality!

Please make some for the Lotus Emira!

Very informative. I had these ACS rockguards for our C7 Z06. Worked perfectly for years, traveling through 42 states. Great job ACS!
Thanks John!

Thanks Chris! Something we've been looking into :)

Glad to hear it Mark! Thank you

Those look VERY Cool! Much better than Factory. Good job!!
Thank you Faron!
Hi are you guys going to release these for the C8 Z06 anytime soon? Thanks
They look amazing, just like all of your products! Nice job guys👍
Thanks Mike!
I will definitely order these when I get my C8.
Great video. I will be purchasing the rock guards for my car.
Thanks Tom! Can’t wait to see them on :)
Comprehensive video; answered all my questions.
Glad it helped! Thanks David :)
Personally , I prefer my tires to be flush with the wheel well. In this case would it be helpful to go with the smaller version or would the larger version look better?
Due to the shape of the rear popping out, you’ll still get rocks from your front tires. We would suggest this version over the smaller version.
When you designed these, did you take into account aftermarket wheels that are pushed outward or oem wheels with spacers...?
I have the same question, especially for spacers.
Can ACS team take a look and confirm?
Thank you
Yes, that’s why we made slightly larger to help accommodate spacers
Does the plastic removal tool come with the ACS rock guards when purchased?
No, there is an option to add a 6pc trim tool kit. It’s great for removing interior panels when changing out for carbon fiber as well as the guards.
Do you know if these guards will fit the upcoming C8 Z06?. I know the front and rear fenders are different than the Stingray. Thxs

Impressive. Most impressive.
Thanks Vader ❤️
$500.00? Your plastic must be EXTREMELY high-tech!!! I'll go with the GM factory.

So if I already have your 5VM Style side skirts, do I still need the rock guards?
Yes, the Rock Guards will help stop the rocks from even getting towards the side of the car :)
For 500 bucks! Good luck
Cool product, but that price... yikes, I will have to pass
I agree! Everyone needs to make a profit but don't try to make it ALL off me! Gotta pass as well.
All of their products are overpriced.

I love ACS. But soon you'll need to buy a protector for every square inch of the C8. Lol

I'm sorry but 500.00 is not a good deal for these.
It is too much 500$$$$
500 buck for abs piece of plastic. 4x8 sheet is 100 bucks
$ 499.00 😳😂
