The Magnum car you referenced was a 1979-1984 years. As well as Fierro's made up to look like the 308GTS for most of the heavy stunt work as well as demolishing of it so as to save on costs of the real deal. There is a lot of fun facts like that for you, if you were truly interested. And enthusiasts, certainly can help you with the real world facts about your car. As evidenced already in the comment sections. I have, like countless others, always appreciated this design. But some love affairs are to be enjoyed from a far. lol
You are missing the AC vents that sit below the radio. That large tube under the center of the dash that you referred to attaches to this AC vent box and allows you to direct the chilled air.
I think I've found a used replacement for this part; thanks for pointing this out. I'm trying to keep it 100% factory original, makes sense that it would have ducts.
This car, the Countach and the 911 were the icons of my childhood. More so, the 308/328 and 911’s though, they were the cars I dreamt of owning. I still dream of owning them! I’d rather have a good example of a 308/328 or aircooled911 over ANY modern Ferrari or Porsche, no contest. The newer cars are just so big, heavy, expensive and frankly boring to me. They just don’t have the visceral, raw and mechanical feel of these older cars….. And, nothing modern is even close to as pretty as this car, nothing!😍😍
How can you say that the clutch is nice. It takes 2 legs to stomp on it! It drives like a truck! Try hitting some potholes! You’ll loosen your teeth and drop a kidney! I bought mine new, it wasn’t such a great car. Looked fantastic, but that about it..
Are you kidding me? I have one, as well as a new 911 Turbo S. The Ferrari handles potholes 1000 times better because the tires have actual sidewalls unlike modern sports cars. The 308, properly maintained, is bulletproof.
Something that absolutely shocked me were the US spec bumper units. The added spring system adapted to them including actual bumpers were nearly 40 Kilos heavier than the Euro spec bumpers! It's actually a good upgrade to revert back, as 40kgs is a lot of weight. Add to that, the car looks miles better.
If our think the shifter feels good now, try changing the 2 rubber bushes in the linkage. They’re usually worn and swapping them out, or even better replacing with delrin versions makes the change even better. 😊
Behind the seats. LOL, I noticed that too in the opening of scene of Magnum PI, he does slide it straight back and then peels out in the grass. Their must have been someone off camera that caught it.😅
Thank you!!! So much to do, so much to learn. Apparently, Ferrari considered the 308GTS a "spyder/spider" despite it being a targa - at least in name. This link has been super helpful in navigating Ferrari's acronyms: rossoautomobili.com/pages/dictionary

So, Panda Express in the trunk, Ben and Jerry's near the shifter. Got it.
Curious as to how tall you are?
IT'S A FUCKING ENGINE NOT AN INJEN...
I'm not a "car guy", but what catches me here is the look of the swithches, the hand brake and the shifter stick. So "technical"! Amazing.

@@MotoMeccaGarage If the air is actually cold the system must have been replaced/upgraded.😊I can barely feel that mine is just not a fan blowing.

The 308 is actually the predecessor of the Dino 246. The 308 was not the first in this style.
Beautiful looking car
Wouldn’t want to own one, but I would love to go for a ride in one, congrats on the purchase
Carb version is unreliable with extra power. Congrats either way.
My old car. Hope it treats you well as it did me. I'll be following these videos to see how the refresh goes. Congrats!
You can adjust the steering wheel tilt. You need a tool. It’s easy.
Saluti dall' Italia da Torino , sede della Pininfarina. Bellissima vettura !!

Holy crap!!! That interior needs some detailing love!!!!!! It looks TERRIBLE!!

Car with the best design ever.
For sale?
Good review and good luck restoring her! She needs some love indeed!
Beautiful cars, where does the top store?? In the TV series, he's seen sliding it back and it disappears

@@ODucks55 Thanks!! GO DUCKS!
Such a cool spec, white over red, looks incredible
It looks great in black too!
How about working on your sound?
Very cool car.
“Targa”, not spyder….spyder is a full convertible. Nice 308, congratulations 👍🏻
