I’ve platinumed every MGS game in the series and I can safely say that Revengeance was by far the most difficult out of all the other games. The VR missions was by far the worst part, getting S rank on Revengeance Mode wasn’t as tedious compared to the repetitive trial and error. The DLC wasn’t as bad, but the Armstrong fight on Sam’s DLC almost broke me when going for the No Damage trophy, it was painful because Armstrong goes full blown apeshit and your playing as Sam who’s gimmick is to taunt enemies to do more damage while also making them more aggressive, so you can only imagine how that went with Armstrong. I honestly hope they don’t rerelease Revengeance, because I honestly don’t want to do it again on both PS4 and PS5, it will more than likely break me.
Yeah honestly I'm glad I decided not to go for the DLC trophies because it sounds way worse than anything in the main game. Plus Sam can't use the fox blade!
I finally earned the platinum trophy this morning. I'm very proud. For me this was one of the heaviest platinum trophies. I've now decided to reach 100%.
The lobby shoot out in chapter R-04 can be s-ranked with damage taken. I used to do the infinite wig A method but only for the no damage bonus at the end of the chapter.
@@BranSnakes hey man, I did it a few hours ago. pretty damn hard, and annoying since i forgot to backup my Save at Armstrong fight and had to comeback to RR-05. Wigs were definitely a game changer.
I need to ask. About the conversations and all Gekkos trophy. Do I have to start a new game and attempt it from scratch and reset the game if I fail? Or can I just play each mission via chapter select and get everything at some point.
@@BranSnakes maybe I didn’t say it correctly. I will play the entire game from first mission to the end, that’s a must. What I’m wondering is if I have to start a fresh Save file or if I can just play with my save file with the Fox Blade and speed up the process a bit.

It's hard to give an overall estimate for the platinum since I had a decent amount of the trophies before doing the video. But for doing all VR missions + nearly 2 playthroughs took me roughly 15 hours maybe.

I believe you have to listen to at least 400 or so different calls throughout the whole game, you’ll be mostly pausing after every encounter to check with everyone multiple times until you’ve exhausted all calls with everyone and they just repeat the conversations, and then move on shortly to another encounter and then rinse and repeat. It’s a huge time consuming task, but the good thing is you can skip each codec by pressing the Triangle button and it will still count towards the trophy, you don’t have to listen to the whole thing. Just stop every time an event or cutscene happens and breeze through all codecs and you should hopefully achieve the trophy within the second to last level. Good luck!

For the elevator section, it's easier to use red phosphorous grenades combined with the turret
I think using the stinger gives you a better chance at getting the no damage bonus, but yeah that method seems pretty good as well.

I ended up taking damage even with the Wig A method! By far the most annoying part of the whole Revengeance playthrough.

Same dude, somehow listening to the Codec missions is more tedious than S ranking on all missions on Revengeance.

I listened to every single one when I went for that achievement. There is SO much extra story and lore in them.
