I think for me Far Cry 4 hurts the most. As the far cry series has ment a lot to me growing up over the years. Theres an achievement for playing every game mode and the fact that i couldve easily done this when i first played it when it launched, and maybe less easily over the years stings even more.
As someone who's on Xbox it is actually possible to 100% over on this side. But in the future when I get a PlayStation I'll never be able to plat one of my favorite games of all time 😢
Imagine dual trophies, example, the unlock condition for a trophy "either this or that". Get 25 kills in multiplayer or do specific thing in singleplayer. Or just, populate with ai and allow trophies to be achieved in "offline"
mass effect andromeda did that actually like for example i think for one you could either beat the story on insane or beat like 25 online missions on platinum difficulty? or something along those lines
Me too mate, however I did look into the game on PC and the way you can still get 100% is downloading a save file with that one online achievement complete so at least there is some way to complete the game

Just wanted to say I’ve been the loving the trophy hunting videos. This series has gotten me back into it myself and made me finally revisit Ghost of Tsushima and get the platinum
100% agree with your disappointment in not being to platinum Killzone 2, 3 and Resistance 2! I finally bought a PS3 recently, and it's unfortunate how many games aren't possible to platinum anymore. There's only 1 Motorstorm platinum still possible, and it's considered the worst in the series by most people, that being Motorstorm RC.
Those Transformer games are pretty much the best in the franchise. Also I have to say I lost count of how many times I've beaten Killzone 1, Rico was my favorite because of that beautiful 800 round BFG with no reloads required and four massive missiles.
The online server was revived for WFC and FOC by a group called ReEnegized. All you have to do is change your DNS. I myself only have the escalation trophies left to do, got all the multiplayer trophies last month for WFC
Killzone 2’s multiplayer trophies might be completely obtainable one day. The PS Rewired server currently has all trophies working except the weekly valor trophies but hopefully they get those working again

The one that hurts the most for me was Mad Max. Real shame that the game can't be platinumed anymore, cause its really good fun. Im working through MKX at the moment but the Aus servers are basically dead. Hope to get a boost for it one day
@@TheBlackKakashiYou needed the online servers to gain the scrap crews challenge, if you didn’t get the trophy “ up to the task” before the 31st of October 2020, you cannot get the Platinum. I got the Platinum on the 29th, so I have Platinum but many didn’t due to the servers being culled.
I've been getting the trophies i can get for Brutal Legend, it's a shame that i will never be able to get the platinum, i wish they did something about it, like you said, dividing the trophies between single and multiplayer, and i would add the DLC group, 'cause many DLC from older games aren't avaiable anymore. CS:GO online shut down but one thing I like about this is that it allows you to get the plat with bots which is awesome for people who want to platinum CS:GO
Man, I have been wishing for an oblivion platinum ever since I purchased that game three separate times across five different years thinking that finally "they updated the game and added trophies like it says on the back" but they did not... It was the first game of console games that I completed on Xbox 360 and I put so many hours into that game before. I finally decided that I was going to get all the achievements in one play through.!!! Now you're probably asking how I did this putting hours on the game previously and this is because I was playing it numerous times on my buddies Xbox and when I finally got my own Xbox, I went through and platinum/achieved the game and play through, reloading to get some of the opposite path achievements like in shivering Isles, where you make the decision you don't want to keep first and then reload the game to go back into the other one! One of my favorite games of all time and for the longest time I told people it was my favorite game and that it was the "Bible of video games?!"
My list is as follows: 1. Portal 2 - I wish I could experience this game on PS3 and get the plat. It hurts how 2 simple online trophies make it unobtainable 2. Max Payne 3 - like you mentioned: amazing game, moreover, I really like a good challenge and would love to try NYC Minute. Oh well 3. LIttleBigPlanet 3 and Karting - I missed out on these, 3's shutdown was surprising so I didn't have time to buy and start the PS3 version. I did the PS4 one thankfully, though. As for Karting, I didn't really like racing games at the time they announced the shutdown 4. Need For Speed Shift, Shift 2, The Run, Undercover and Hot Pursuit (to some extent) - I recently got myself into this series, but I missed out on the 2021 server shutdowns. I put Hot Pursuit here despite the fact it works because the online pass is literally delisted lol. Shift's platinum is obtainable, but 1 DLC trophy isn't, however, I'm not going to attempt it as a completionist 5. Resistance 2 as well - I recently got myself into this series as well, and I'm really unhappy that this is the only unobtainable Resistance plat 6. Burnout Crash and Paradise - that's a series I'd like to get myself into because I started liking racing games. Oh well... Honourable mention: Playstation All-Stars Battle Royale - I've got the plats on both PS3 and Vita, but I wish people could still platinum this criminally underrated game
There are so many games that now has unobtainable trophies that will forever just sit unfinished on my gameslist is just sad, also so many games that I never will play (at least not on the Playstation) because of it. Mad Max, Hitman Absolution, Far Cry 2 and Lord of the Ring: Conquest are unobtainable. And most likely for me games such as Tomb Raider and Red Factions: Armageddon are never gonna get platinumed because of online trophies even if they are still obtainable. Really wish online trophies for single player focused games were optional.
Decided I was gonna Platinum all the FarCry games on PS4. Starting with FarCry 3 all the way to FarCry 6. Got FarCry 3s Platinum and went onto FarCry 4. Got all the story related trophies, and all that was left was 2 MP trophies. Load up the MP just to get ERRORs every time locking me out of the Platinum for FarCry 4. Went onto FarCry 5 and got its Platinum 4 days ago. Just finished FarCry: Primal and got its Platinum today. Now, onto FarCry: New Dawn.
Yeah the Far Cry 4 MP issue is an odd one. No declaration of shut servers but Ubisoft just letting it be dead is strange. But best of luck on the rest of that journey mate!
Mad max is on the list for me. I wish they would do what shadow of Mordor did and made an update to basically get rid of the online trophy when the servers went down

I wish multiplayer trophies were add ons like DLC trophies. that way you don't get locked out of a platinum but if you want to get 100% completion of a game you still need to go for them

I agree on the multiplayer trophies. It's such a turnoff when starting a new game or wanting to replay a game. One game I wanted to platnium so badly is Mad Max but sadly a single player based game has multiplayer features that are no longer available.
Mad Max is a heart breaking one, when it's one trophy that ruins the whole platinum possibility it's honestly like... can't they just remove that or change the requirements!
@@MayorHairBear The sad thing is that it is easily possible to change trophy requirements but most developers don't care and just don't bother. The devs for Jump Force changed the trophy requirements after they shut down the servers for the game so people can still get the platinum trophy.
The one I missed out on was Medal of Honor Warfighter. Got most of the multiplayer trophies before the servers closed but wasn’t able to reach level 64 in time
As a die-hard Resistance fan, even I will admit R2's 10,000 kills trophy is a grievous sin. Insomniac over-estimated their multiplayer portion. No FPS, not even Halo could compete with Call of Duty at it's prime.

One platinum that is no longer obtainable because the servers shut down in june is Knockout City. I'm so fucking glad that I managed to get it before shut down.
I feel the same about Resistance and Killzone. Resistance is my favourite Shooter franchise ever made and I hope we get it back one day. I'm also so disappointed I've never can do the 10k Kills in Resistance 2. I played KZ3 so often back in the day and when I look at my Trophy Collection every time I'm so sad that I dont have 100% in this game. I have the platinum but only few DLC trophies are missing and I never can do them. Cause Resistance 2 and Killzone 3 are some of my favourite Shooters ever made it's very frustrating. 😢
I hope the Resistance Retribution HD Trophy Port will come this year! My hope will always be there but I think for a Resistance 1-3 Remaster we have to wait forever 😔
I didn't realize Bulletstorm on PS3 was shutdown. The 360 version still allowed private matches for a long time after the 2014 shutdown. Not sure if it still does
Even though I grinded the MP trophies before the shut down once you said Max Payne 3 I remembered all the man hours I poured just have to chance to still platinum it. I was also grinding it while getting NFS The Run and Undercover's platinum's so it ended up costing me a whole controller so I feel the pain of losing out on the chance to platinum specific games you want to. The specific reason I haven't gone back to Mad Max is because of the only Server related trophy which I'm sure no one even payed attention to since it's mainly single player game. As a fellow trophy hunter I relate to this video too much 😭
I waited the entire PS4 generation for ports of Killzone, Resistance, Infamous, etc. Sony is not capitalizing on their classic IPs. I do appreciate them moving on and making new series like Horizon and Ghost of Tsushima, but I really want to play them on modern hardware so they run better than they did on PS3
Well said mate. I love Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man and am happy for Guerilla, Sucker Punch and Insomniac to work on those games if that's what they creatively want to. But to leave these IP's dormant is a real disservice. Another studio needs to tackle these franchises, even if it's a remaster or remake or collection to get a handle on the series.
definitely the cybertron games, as well as Arkham origins. Top gun: hard lock is only obtainable by those who bought the game way back when. I tracked down a sealed copy for the damn online pass but Sony couldn't redeem the code for me because the studio that made the game closed down. the servers are still up, and I have an unused code to access them but because of a strange technicality, I'm blocked off from accessing them.
I almost included Arkham Origins but that's one of those games people say is still possible so I'm not sure but absolutely if it isn't possible or a pain then I would have included it
I feel like they should update trophies when the servers die and are shut down. To either change the princip of it or just scratch them. For example I heard that Shadow of Mordor got an update on one online trophy after servers were shut down and is achievable offline.
For me it's Arkham Origins. I'm gutted I can't platinum the game because of the dead multiplayer. It's the only Arkham game I haven't platinum'd. Love the series and am hoping that Origins will get a re-release, remaster, or remake eventually.
I would totally pay for a remake or at least a remaster of the Killzone franchise. Don't get me wrong Horizon are great games, but I miss the killzone franchise.
There are also certain games that I wish for the love of God the developers had an added trophy support for where the other version of it has trophy support? Memories of Celcetta for the PlayStation Vita comes to mind as it was the first platinum I ever got on my newly acquired. PlayStation Vita in 2014!!! a few years later they ported the game to PS4 and I would have bought it immediately, but I found out that the trophy list was combined with the vita, which meant I would not be able to obtain any more trophies for buying it again, which is stupid!!!! Sequel to separate trophies?!?! Every single version of the Witcher three has separate achievements and trophies !!! It's always nice when developers do this for us hard-core fans of certain games because then we can go through and at least have the fun of unlocking all of the trophies again and one of our favorite games? And then it's like shit on, when they try to sell you the same game that you've already unlocked all the trophies to?!
I really think that when a games MP goes offline they should either make those trophies autopop for all past, current and future players or make those MP trophies be optional to be popped online and offline making the devs think about any future users. honestly I played Killzone shadow fall when it came out and at that time I wasn't into plating games, now that I'm into it it sucks that the servers of the MP are out.

I got MK9 plus the Cybertron games from this list. MK9 was great but the MP was the worst since the servers always crashed for connections. As for Cybertron, War was alot of fun since you were able to get the mp in horde mode with friends. Fall unfortunately had cheaters galore making the mp miserable for trying. As for games you want to complete but can't alternatives Max Payne 3 is still obtainable to 100% on Steam, same as MK9 :) (Only downside for MK9 is you will have to have already own it since it was removed from the store. But those who own it on Steam can still go for all of the achievements)
Mad Max is a Platinum I would love to have. I really hope someday the servers are brought back online. Failing that, a remaster minus the online trophy would be grand. Kinda like the newest version of Red Dead Redemption. Great video as always MayorHairBear.
@@yaboi6638 No. The "Up to the Task" trophy cannot be obtained as of 2020. It was a silly addition to the Platinum. This proves that the game developers had no foresight when putting together the Platinum requirements. Even more vexing, Mad Max is a single player only campaign, no co-op, nothing.

The transformers games have fan made servers on ps3 that enable you to grab the online trophies! Grabbed Dark of the moon platinum and eventually going for all the ps3 TF plats :)
5:20 that's not strictly true. You can still get the Platinum in both games and play the multiplayer. You just won't be on Psn profiles leaderboards. Which is no great loss.
Ncaa football 12 on PS3 stings the worst out of my 180 some odd games I’ve got on my account I got it to 96% but because there’s 2 online trophies for writing a comment and uploading a picture to the ea share I’ll never get this. Sucks but it is what it is such a solid football game to

Mad Max, Hitman Absolution, Far Cry 2 and Lord of the Ring: Conquest are unobtainable. And most likely for me games such as Tomb Raider and Red Factions: Armageddon are never gonna get platinumed because of online trophies even if they are still obtainable. Really wish online trophies for single player focused games were optional.
I know, they really should be optional or for 100% in single player focused games but MP was crammed into so many games back then!
Decided I was gonna Platinum all the FarCry games on PS4. Starting with FarCry 3 all the way to FarCry 6.
Got FarCry 3s Platinum and went onto FarCry 4. Got all the story related trophies, and all that was left was 2 MP trophies. Load up the MP just to get ERRORs every time locking me out of the Platinum for FarCry 4.
Went onto FarCry 5 and got its Platinum 4 days ago. Just finished FarCry: Primal and got its Platinum today. Now, onto FarCry: New Dawn.
Yeah the Far Cry 4 MP issue is an odd one. No declaration of shut servers but Ubisoft just letting it be dead is strange. But best of luck on the rest of that journey mate!
Mad max is on the list for me. I wish they would do what shadow of Mordor did and made an update to basically get rid of the online trophy when the servers went down

I wish multiplayer trophies were add ons like DLC trophies. that way you don't get locked out of a platinum but if you want to get 100% completion of a game you still need to go for them

I agree on the multiplayer trophies. It's such a turnoff when starting a new game or wanting to replay a game. One game I wanted to platnium so badly is Mad Max but sadly a single player based game has multiplayer features that are no longer available.
Mad Max is a heart breaking one, when it's one trophy that ruins the whole platinum possibility it's honestly like... can't they just remove that or change the requirements!
@@MayorHairBear The sad thing is that it is easily possible to change trophy requirements but most developers don't care and just don't bother. The devs for Jump Force changed the trophy requirements after they shut down the servers for the game so people can still get the platinum trophy.
The one I missed out on was Medal of Honor Warfighter. Got most of the multiplayer trophies before the servers closed but wasn’t able to reach level 64 in time
I almost said Medal of Honor 2010 and Warfighter. I loved those games and sad it's just a distant memory now

As a die-hard Resistance fan, even I will admit R2's 10,000 kills trophy is a grievous sin. Insomniac over-estimated their multiplayer portion. No FPS, not even Halo could compete with Call of Duty at it's prime.
Oh yeah absolutely, these plats had some brutal requirements but maybe a Resistance collection could update those types of trophies!

One platinum that is no longer obtainable because the servers shut down in june is Knockout City. I'm so fucking glad that I managed to get it before shut down.
Online exclusive games are so finnicky, especially IP's that aren't established. Can be killed off too soon

I feel the same about Resistance and Killzone. Resistance is my favourite Shooter franchise ever made and I hope we get it back one day. I'm also so disappointed I've never can do the 10k Kills in Resistance 2. I played KZ3 so often back in the day and when I look at my Trophy Collection every time I'm so sad that I dont have 100% in this game. I have the platinum but only few DLC trophies are missing and I never can do them.
Cause Resistance 2 and Killzone 3 are some of my favourite Shooters ever made it's very frustrating. 😢

I didn't realize Bulletstorm on PS3 was shutdown. The 360 version still allowed private matches for a long time after the 2014 shutdown. Not sure if it still does

Even though I grinded the MP trophies before the shut down once you said Max Payne 3 I remembered all the man hours I poured just have to chance to still platinum it. I was also grinding it while getting NFS The Run and Undercover's platinum's so it ended up costing me a whole controller so I feel the pain of losing out on the chance to platinum specific games you want to. The specific reason I haven't gone back to Mad Max is because of the only Server related trophy which I'm sure no one even payed attention to since it's mainly single player game. As a fellow trophy hunter I relate to this video too much 😭
I waited the entire PS4 generation for ports of Killzone, Resistance, Infamous, etc. Sony is not capitalizing on their classic IPs. I do appreciate them moving on and making new series like Horizon and Ghost of Tsushima, but I really want to play them on modern hardware so they run better than they did on PS3
Well said mate. I love Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man and am happy for Guerilla, Sucker Punch and Insomniac to work on those games if that's what they creatively want to. But to leave these IP's dormant is a real disservice. Another studio needs to tackle these franchises, even if it's a remaster or remake or collection to get a handle on the series.

definitely the cybertron games, as well as Arkham origins. Top gun: hard lock is only obtainable by those who bought the game way back when. I tracked down a sealed copy for the damn online pass but Sony couldn't redeem the code for me because the studio that made the game closed down. the servers are still up, and I have an unused code to access them but because of a strange technicality, I'm blocked off from accessing them.
I almost included Arkham Origins but that's one of those games people say is still possible so I'm not sure but absolutely if it isn't possible or a pain then I would have included it

I feel like they should update trophies when the servers die and are shut down. To either change the princip of it or just scratch them. For example I heard that Shadow of Mordor got an update on one online trophy after servers were shut down and is achievable offline.

For me it's Arkham Origins. I'm gutted I can't platinum the game because of the dead multiplayer. It's the only Arkham game I haven't platinum'd. Love the series and am hoping that Origins will get a re-release, remaster, or remake eventually.

I would totally pay for a remake or at least a remaster of the Killzone franchise. Don't get me wrong Horizon are great games, but I miss the killzone franchise.

Memories of Celcetta for the PlayStation Vita comes to mind as it was the first platinum I ever got on my newly acquired. PlayStation Vita in 2014!!! a few years later they ported the game to PS4 and I would have bought it immediately, but I found out that the trophy list was combined with the vita, which meant I would not be able to obtain any more trophies for buying it again, which is stupid!!!! Sequel to separate trophies?!?!
Every single version of the Witcher three has separate achievements and trophies !!! It's always nice when developers do this for us hard-core fans of certain games because then we can go through and at least have the fun of unlocking all of the trophies again and one of our favorite games?
And then it's like shit on, when they try to sell you the same game that you've already unlocked all the trophies to?!
I really think that when a games MP goes offline they should either make those trophies autopop for all past, current and future players or make those MP trophies be optional to be popped online and offline making the devs think about any future users.
honestly I played Killzone shadow fall when it came out and at that time I wasn't into plating games, now that I'm into it it sucks that the servers of the MP are out.

I got MK9 plus the Cybertron games from this list. MK9 was great but the MP was the worst since the servers always crashed for connections. As for Cybertron, War was alot of fun since you were able to get the mp in horde mode with friends. Fall unfortunately had cheaters galore making the mp miserable for trying.
As for games you want to complete but can't alternatives Max Payne 3 is still obtainable to 100% on Steam, same as MK9 :) (Only downside for MK9 is you will have to have already own it since it was removed from the store. But those who own it on Steam can still go for all of the achievements)

Not an unobtainable platinum but the one of the most grindy plats are by far Monster Hunter games. I highly recommend playing either World or Rise

@@yaboi6638 No. The "Up to the Task" trophy cannot be obtained as of 2020. It was a silly addition to the Platinum. This proves that the game developers had no foresight when putting together the Platinum requirements. Even more vexing, Mad Max is a single player only campaign, no co-op, nothing.

The transformers games have fan made servers on ps3 that enable you to grab the online trophies! Grabbed Dark of the moon platinum and eventually going for all the ps3 TF plats :)

5:20 that's not strictly true. You can still get the Platinum in both games and play the multiplayer. You just won't be on Psn profiles leaderboards. Which is no great loss.
