I collect new modern english and japanese pikachu promos. I skip plenty of sets and don't need everything or anything from every new set. Patience is key. Now is a good time to buy sword and shield cards
Thanks for sharing - that's a great mentality to have. I haven't quite caught up to sword and shield yet as I'm still trying to buy some of the Sun and Moon stuff. I would say victory medals and the scream card are my favourite pikachu promos.
I feel like we should have gone through this discussion 2 years ago, I went heavy into sealed when I first got back in, and 2 years later I decided that I actually despise sealed collecting (for the same reasons as you) and I sold off everything except 3 which I just enjoy displaying. Finding what you enjoy is legit the best advice. It's so easy to get lost in the avalanche of cards available...Find what you like the most and focus on that. The best thing about having a focus is you'll have a very good handle on what "market" price is for something that your after so you can make quick smart decisions when you run across the card your looking for.
Thanks for the comment and sharing your experience. Those are excellent points - couldn't agree more. To add to your points, I like how more cohesive the collection becomes and I feel less overwhelmed on trying to keep up with the latest sets.
Very insightful and very helpful, mainly invested in Prime Cards/Lvl X cards too but always do face the FOMO of missing a card thats currently available but dont have the funds to purchase instantly
Thank you very much. Appreciate you checking out my video! Exactly, share a very similar sentiment as yourself. This is especially true for some of the lower pop . graded cards where I'm afraid they might not be re-listed soon. Love the silver borders on those cards and would love to see your cards as well as I'm sure you have a great collection :)
Great video with some great advice. Im now selling most my raw cards that didn’t really have any continuity and focusing on certain niche sets in psa 9. Also made one or two regrettable decisions but I think back to all the amazing deals i scored from years ago and the present. Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for checking out the video! I’ve done the same myself as well - seeing my raw cards that don’t fulfill my collection goals and shifting that money to PSA 9 slabs that do. Best way to collect on a budget and good luck on your collection!
I personally haven't used it so didn't comment on it. I heard negative things (mainly TH-cam videos) about whatnot but I've never experienced it for myself so can't say for sure. What's your experience like for whatnot?

I have the whole Edvard Munch Scream Set. Getting the 5 graded in April at a Sports card Expo convention through PSA.
Congrats on those amazing cards! Hopefully they grade well :). Thanks for checking out my video!
