Totally agree! I do believe that’s how they should be graded so I choose 9s to at least guarantee a mint card knowing that the “true” grade may be from 8-10 realistically if that makes sense.

Hey! Nice to see your comment again :). Thanks lol. The LGS I was referring to here is Treasure Chest games out in poco. They been around for a long time so most of their product is “left over” stock from back in the day.

Yeah - probably the cheapest I've seen it. Will likely open of those sometime and grade the hits for my pc and maybe leave the other one sealed.

Haha, yes a beautiful set. Dang, must have been fun opening these back in the day. Probably can't afford to open these nowadays - will likely have to keep that Raichu box sealed.

Usually penny sleeves won’t fit inside this type of magnetic case.

@TCGCollector will cards be damaged if i use penny

@@EternalGaming-q4u They could be if they don't sit properly in the One Touch? Usually penny sleeves are larger than the size of card you can fit in the One Touch. I recommend perfect fits because it almost perfectly fits inside the case.

If you are collecting, 8s at a discounted price is completing fine and you can definitely find some nice bargains. But if I’m trying to invest, I may just opt for the raw version for a similar-ish price and try to just grade a 9 or 10 myself. For most modern cards, the print quality is pretty decent so I think there is more value on trying to get a 9-10 from grading unless it’s from a notoriously badly printed set (eg. burning shadows). That’s just my personal opinion! Hopefully that’s helpful

I believe the tattoo store is the right one. I think it used to be a tattoo store but I just double checked the address and it is the new one. So the one in my video is correct.

@TCGCollector yeah I had a chance to visit! Lots of cool stuff. I asked them about that and they said they usually do half and half. Impressive though because the card show already had so much, can't imagine them having all them together at once 🤯

@ from what I can see the print quality of this set isn’t the best . Mine has weird corners on the back but you can tell it was pack fresh. Picked it up on GameStops site

Yeah a bit of corner whitening but also the print lines in the holo seems to be major issues with this set

Thanks! Appreciate it :). Are you using the KMC inner sleeves? I had more problems with warps for other inner sleeves such as the dragon shield ones.

@@TCGCollector I am using KMC clear perfect fit inner sleeves top load 89mm x 64mm on Union Arena card which has same dimensions as MTG and Pokemon. However, the packaging on the KMC is black instead of red, and red instead of blue as compared to your Video. Wordings are in Japanese too. I believe even with the exact specifications, this black red packaging is different from the one shown in your video

@@qwp1026 Interesting, I've never had that problem before. It seems like the size is the same as the one I was using despite the different packaging. Another difference could be the thickness of Union Arena cards? Perhaps, the width and length is the same but your card may be more thick, thus, causing it to warp a bit?

@@TCGCollector Yeah maybe it is thicker. I will try some other products such as Pro Mold 35PT magnetic case. In the mean time I kept them in the top loaders you recommended in other videos, felt more secure :)

Fair enough. Yeah, I think toploader + team bag is also a decent option as it's still pretty rigid and the dust can be kept out. Also, it's a cheaper alternative to the magnetic cases which can add up pretty quickly if you have a lot of cards. Thanks for checking out my videos - really appreciate it! Hopefully those magnetic cases will work out for you :).

@ Oh I see, I ended up returning it though and bought the right one just so i really get the full protection (On my comment I was talking about the dragon shield sleeve and that I bought a side loader one).

Pokemon Center in Japans do not carry any English products. However, many of the game stores will carry some products. Usually this is ETBs, tins and collection boxes. I would say if you are staying at a bigger city, that would make it more likely for you to find English sealed products.

I would use Google Maps and look for card stores near where you are staying. I did this before I left for my Japan trip. Use key search terms like "card store" or "card shop" when searching for stores.

This was purchased from the Pokemon Center! It should be fairly easy to buy at a cheaper price as well on other sites.

Many TCG stores do sell English pokemon product but at a markup of course. If you are staying in the major cities, many of the stores should have some.
