totally agree. To sing the entire song with a small mic, nothing but Bobby Hatfields incredible voice, his range of octaves, effortlessly singing the high notes, without strain. Absoilutely the best live performance ever.

Miss you so much. My favorite love song ever and I can't stop watching and crying 😭 He must be singing in Heaven ❤ I watched this many years ago and I never get tired of it.

Unchained Melody came out in 1965. I was in Vietnam in that year and all the guys including me would be thinking about their girls and hoping they would make it back alive. I thank God every day cause here I am listening to this beautiful song again. Thank you Bobby Hatfield 😅
It was called blue -eyed soul. It was an era when singers could sing! And this is a live performance. The movie Ghost featured this song and brought tears to many eyes. I'm a 74 year old musician and I feel that this is one of the greatest performances ever. After all these years, it is still being covered by many artists.
There have been a lot of great performances. Freddie Mercury is up there, doing scales with the crowd at Wembley Stadium or performing "Somebody To Love" in Montreal in 1981. Vocally, it's certainly up there. By a male singer, certainly. If we're going by straight vocals, Whitney Houston has to be in the conversation.
Something to think about, his Mother and his Fiance were in the audience for the first time. He was nervous but once he was on the stage and the music started you can see him calm right down and show the world what GOD have given him.
That little smile at the end saying I nailed it. My wife is a coloured woman both love this song. I remember it the first time around. How lucky i was to live in the 60s era.

Tell me that you have absolutely no idea what this song is about without telling me. Vietnam? Where do you get that idea from? Do you not have Google? Or are you so arrogant that you “know shit” even when you don’t. Vietnam war indeed. It’s from a 1955 film called “Unchained” about a prisoner who is waiting for the day he’s paroled. Nothing at all to do with war. Any war.
I was one of those girls. My husband would always always put a P.S. “wait for me, I’m coming home” and I’d sign my letters “ I’m here at home, waiting for you”.

I am 68 yrs old and a GUY and this is the most beautiful song i have ever heard. Done by many but Billy Hatfield's version LIVE is better than anything i have heard before. I was 9 at the time and actually got to see this as it was happening on TV. But the quality of sound was nothing like today. And i was a kid too.
There is not a woman alive that can deny if the man they love sang this song to them like Bobby song it it would blow their minds….its will be forever Bobby’s song and there is not a woman alive that can listen to this song and not just melt down in into tears…Absolutely Beautiful…Probably the most beautiful love song ever recorded 💖😭
Someone commented that he is singing this song to each and everyone listening to this song. That is the most accurate comment ever. I'm and old lady now. I was eight when this came out. Obviously I didn't appreciate the significance of the yearning he has in his singing. Now it hits home and tears well up in my eyes when I hear it. Not only that but I feel the love he's sending out with this lovely song.
Simply the best version of this song period it will never be surpassed his vocal reign was of the scale rip Bobby Hatfield you really were righteous if you agree let me know 😢
My first album...was 17 and could not get enough of the Righteous Brothers... they were with me as I got ready for school and they were with me as I sat on the window sill looking into the midnight sky wondering about life...I miss those days, but my children and grandchildren keep my memories alive by sending me these classics on youtube...if only THEY could have lived in my day and had the music, the cars, the clean air, the peace and safety, and the family love that I and our generation enjoyed...oh how I miss those days.
I was right there with you -- I was 15 when this was performed. I absolutely loved these guys and dozens of others! I had some kind of music playing at all times -- classical, band, rock, blues, country, etc. I was in band and orchestra and also loved performing as well. Looking back, it really was a magical time! ❤😂😅😊❤
My mom and dad used to slow dance to this song in the 60s. There used to be an old joke that Bobby Hatfield was responsible for most of the children born in the late 60s. Just an incredible performance.
Ladies and gentlemen, this is greatness. What he does with seeming ease is actually a tremendously complicated performance. The charismatic voice channel has an excellent breakdown.
The lyrics mean so much more when you realize it was 1965 and the Vietnam War was in full swing. When he sings "Time goes by so slowly and time can do so much." You think he is sitting in a fox hole with gunfire all around, scared to death he is going to die. "Are you still mine?" and "I'll be coming home, wait for me." In the midst of gunfire and terror, he just wants to know she still loves him and will wait for him.

No doubt that he owned this song. The most beautiful performance I’ve ever heard. Just really sad that I was born too late to see this performance live. Bobby Hatfield, what a legend x
This has been covered so many times over the years by so many different artists. But this is the definite velvet version no one will ever do a better version than this. I call it the velvet version as his voice is like velvet in the slow parts of this song so smooth. And it's pure emotion and talent no trickery involved.
I specifically had a "DJ" at my wedding for this reason! This is my wedding song - June 25, 1994! Next June will be 30 years, 3 beautiful children. I was married in "The Mansion" on Fairleigh Dickinson University, Madison, NJ (Twombly estate - marriage to Vanderbilts). It was breathtaking!
Bobby Hatfield had a voice like nobody else as did his singing partner. What made the brothers so great was their ability to sing their songs to each and every one of you. To EACH one of you.
Not quite. Bill had a great voice, but he sang with his eyes closed most of the time. However, singing Dream on, he looked at the camera and was simply terrific. Oddly, it was the first time Bobby did not look at the camera
Just letting you know, I am 71, and you ladies today are reacting to Bobby Hatfield and his sooo talented singing the same way we did in the 60s. He was so good looking, had an incredible voice and control of his voice and from what I understand was a genuinely nice guy.
Totally agree!! There is a version both of the Righteous Brothers sing, but Bobby doing this solo is brilliant!! I love listening to them!! And the song was in the movie Ghost!! ❤️🌹🇨🇦🌹❤️
As a man watching all these beautiful women react to this amazing beautiful song and they show their true emotions is so appealing an emotional. This to me it's much more sexy then a woman letting it all hang out. Women wanna true man that will just love them and cherish them!
My Daddy taught me when I was young around 1964..Music speaks to the hearts of those that are needing it... soulfulness has no Ethnicity, Race, or Class Status...and it should move you emotionally... another thing... although this song doesn't have a saxophone in it...but if the song does have a sax in it...it is almost always a hit...I love and miss you Dad...
Mine never spoke those words to me, but showed it with the music that he raised me on. I didn't know until I was no longer a child that the singers I had been listening to were of multiple races. It didn't matter. It was all about the music and how it made you feel. I miss my father as well but will always have the memories of riding in his old truck listening to music.
Isn’t it so beautiful. Breathtaking Music like that doesn’t exist today. I haven’t found any. And his was so handsome. He died in 2003. I hope he is in Heaven.
You can totally tell which of these ladies were genuinely blown away by his vocals. It’s a safe bet by how moving this song is, the ones who were left speechless and laser focused on listening were the real deal. As opposed to the ones more concerned with how their reactions came across to their audience.
To me, this is absolutely the most romantic version of this song of all time. No matter how many times I listen to it, it has never gotten old...and never will.
I sing like him every night, women are falling at my feet, worshipping me and then I wake up, and realise I can't sing a note. Great reaction's to someone who can sing brilliantly. 🇬🇧🍷
Real pure no effects music like this can’t help but bring a tear to your eyes. People today can’t compare to music back then, both black and white musicians had a God given talent that’s rarely seen today
This epic performance of composer Alex North and lyricist Hy Zaret's "Unchained Melody" (1955) by Bobby Hatfield (1965) has to be the most reacted to song in the history of You Tube. Never had I seen so many reactions channels react to one song "Unchained Melody" by the late great Counter Tenor Bobby Hatfield. Great upload on so many reactions by so many women. Awesome!
Congratulations of your 30th Wedding Anniversary. These days most couples do not last that long. You and your husband are very blessed to have such a loving and caring relationship. All the best going forward. I myself and coming up on 47 years of marital bliss and counting. At 70 years old I still find my wife as beautiful as when I first met her 50 years ago. She is my life and the world to me. I hope you last as long as we. I believe you will.@@donnamarievalentine1156
That’s what you call knowing how to put love in a song! Never ever done better by anyone to this day! No cover can ever reach its simplicity and complexity the way Bobby Hatfield rendered this iconic eternal song!
This song is the only thing that always makes me fight back tears. Easily the best and most beautiful love song ever performed. It's perfection. Coming from the Grumpy Snail that's saying a lot.🐌
And this is why I chose it as my wedding song! June 25, 1994 (29) years, 3 children! I danced with my young husband to this enchanted song in "The Mansion" at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ!
63 with a lot of hard bark on me. Still gives me goose bumps and moistens my eyes. Lovely ladies all but the second shown, dark tank top, hair in a bun…this ol guy is singing it to you
"Too Sushi"...her reaction video of this is the best. She pauses it a few times to catch her breath, but doesn't say a word until the song is over. Even then, she has trouble trying to find words.
“The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duo Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on a piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary. “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’’ was the most played song on radio in the 20th Century "Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965 Andy Williams Show (with his mother sitting right behind him) Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree. Bobby’s use of “Runs” is masterful. He created the style and set the table that all others have fed off of for decades. 7 notes just to say the word “I” is melodic brilliance. Their name came from doing a show near a marine base in So Calif and a black marine said to them…. You two guys are Righteous Brothers. In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin Feeling" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......
Every woman reacting thinks he is singing to them. The epitome of a great love song for our beautiful women. My wife still loves is 40 plus years later!

It’s fun just to watch this phenomenal performance still be so appreciated and enjoyed
Pure Talent God Almighty gave this man a gift.
Amen
Beautifully edited. It builds and builds and builds..
I love to watch the ladies try so hard to not let their tears fall. We KNOW you're crying.
You can totally tell which of these ladies were genuinely blown away by his vocals. It’s a safe bet by how moving this song is, the ones who were left speechless and laser focused on listening were the real deal. As opposed to the ones more concerned with how their reactions came across to their audience.
Bobby was wonderful and Bobby stayed Bobby, a great entertainer (seen him dance?) great charm and humility.
So nice to see the man who's talent can still blow the doors off of people today.🎉❤❤❤
The greatest love song ever written with the greatest live performance.
Outstanding .. . And remarkable talent
The ultimate version of this song. Not even Elvis could sing it so well, even though his versions usually were better than the originals.
I was 10 when this came out, makes me happy to see the next generations hear why we loved growing up then. Some music is eternal and ageless.
Those reactions could not be faked, so real. They start out like ok show me what you got, he does and the chills begin.
Chills n tears. Every. Single. Time. Such an amazing song and such an awesome voice
You can see the moment their hearts are captured.
One of the most romantic songs ever.
Absolutely
My wedding song! I agree!
Back in the day they really knew how to sing to a woman 👠
To me, this is absolutely the most romantic version of this song of all time. No matter how many times I listen to it, it has never gotten old...and never will.
I sing like him every night, women are falling at my feet, worshipping me and then I wake up, and realise I can't sing a note. Great reaction's to someone who can sing brilliantly. 🇬🇧🍷
Real pure no effects music like this can’t help but bring a tear to your eyes. People today can’t compare to music back then, both black and white musicians had a God given talent that’s rarely seen today
This love song performance will never be surpassed.
Awesome!
And this woman has it as my wedding song! June 25, 1994 - 30 years next June!
He was not a counter tenor
Yes, he was!@@yvonnesanders4308
This exactly how i reacted. I just saw this for the 1st time in 2024 and i just balled my eyes out. So much emotion evoked.
I play this one EVERY time I use my computer....I get chills EVERY time I have played it...I know EXACTLY what you mean,GS...
And this is why I chose it as my wedding song! June 25, 1994 (29) years, 3 children! I danced with my young husband to this enchanted song in "The Mansion" at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ!
☒抜群の歌唱力で素敵歌声🤗💞
そしてHandsome
Wonderful isn't it, no one has ever been able to do what he has, definitely his he owns it❤❤❤
63 with a lot of hard bark on me.
UNBELIEVABLE.........Rest in Peace dear BOBBY......
“The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duo Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on a piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary.
“You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’’ was the most played song on radio in the 20th Century
"Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965 Andy Williams Show (with his mother sitting right behind him) Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History...
My favorite love song of all time! It was fun to see how all these beautiful ladies were moved!❤
One of the best love song along with Percy sledge when a man loves a woman ❤️
What I like about this song is Bobby doesn't strain not at all what talent no equal
🌸🌸🌸 here to support
I like the multiple reactions Thank you from Canada
Come with US. America loved Unchained Melody. No better than the Righteous Brothers.
I saw them on campus in 75’
America First 2024.
people need to remember this was a recording from a tv show back in 1965 i belive- what a great voice.
I absolutely love that comment that one beautiful young lady said,,,"when his voice went Up my PANTIES went down ". Absolutely the greatest response that I ever heard from anyone ,, that was a good one whoever you are,,😆🙃☝️👍
"That's Righteous Brother!"
If an artist today sang like that it would change music back to what it really is!
That song 😅the ability to take you back in time to that special moment when you and yours was wrapped up in your arms and then the kiss.
This great song made it great again in the movie GHOST. Made all of us cry.
