Awesome restoration, great detail in restoring this awesome adventure team toy, I restored one myself, picked it up on ebay replaced the bulb , stickers and used the Novus kit to polish and clean, also replaced the headphones with a nicer sturdier set that I accidentally ran into on eBay the original phones were a bit flimsy, again superb job in bringing it back to life
Tim - Mine was a little better condition inside, I sanded cleaned and still didn't work? I then took out/removed the [ metal case ] and now ordered a new battery AA case. I will try and connect the hair, thin wires and see what happens? The problem I had were the miniature circle touch battery points, at the head of the battery case, one was crumbled and useless. I super glued a tiny brass washer and still didn't work. This is WHY I removed the [metal case] and ordered a modern NEW battery case.......................Will let you know if I can get it to work? If not I would like to ship to you and see if you can get it to work? Doug/Michigan
I'm curious to know how it turned out. With the Major Matt Mason Firebolt battery contacts were broken. th-cam.com/video/ggvVwCBTkZU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1AtScDqgD9122Vqp&t=122 I used a sheet of metal from hobby store to create new ones. Maybe that will help as well. 👍 Thanks for watching!
Hi Tim - I received the battery case in a miniature packet. It was tightly packed, I used scissors ✂️ to cut open and it cut the positive / negative wires off the battery case. I was not happy and ordered another one and told them not to ship in such a small packet WITH WIRES!! they sent the same way and carefully tore open. Tim it fit PERFECT in side the signal flasher compartment. Hooked the old wires with the new and worked. The press button I had to hold or push down LONGER and it finally light up. So make sure the push down contact button is held down for a minute - then it worked fine. Thanks Tim for your super great videos! Doug/ Michigan
