I am literally Korean, and I was greatly impressed by the singing ability of Filipino singers. It's a singing skill from heaven. I have actually been to the Philippines once before and they had a different musical sense. Sohyang, which is compared to the video, is also an acclaimed Korean singer. I'm glad to see them in one video.😃👍
Philippines for me is no. 1 in asia when it comes to singing as for Koreans they have a nice voice because they have voice lessons in middle school and h.s, but filipino doesn't have that kind of luxury, they just develop their singing talent naturally and i think when it comes to pronunciation Philippines sang it very clearly smooth! Far from thin, a lot of Filipino female vocalists lower their larynx to create a fake 'big' voice. If you had a singer doing that vs someone who support properly with a neutral larynx and achieved resonance (both without microphone, of course) the low larynx singer's sound output would be drowned out

You don't know much about vocal pedagogy. Basically, a low larynx position create a 'big voice' and a lot of Filipinos female vocalists are doing this. Thing is, it's nearly impossible for a vocalist to lower their larynx properly if they didn't get trained as an opera vocalist. Range has nothing to do with larynx. Having a big range is nice potential wise, but if all you do with it is straining then it's kinda useless. I prefer listening to a tenor having resonance at C5 than listening to Alex Newell straining a C6

I am literally Korean, and I was greatly impressed by the singing ability of Filipino singers. It's a singing skill from heaven. I have actually been to the Philippines once before and they had a different musical sense. Sohyang, which is compared to the video, is also an acclaimed Korean singer. I'm glad to see them in one video.😃👍

Philippines for me is no. 1 in asia when it comes to singing as for Koreans they have a nice voice because they have voice lessons in middle school and h.s, but filipino doesn't have that kind of luxury, they just develop their singing talent naturally and i think when it comes to pronunciation Philippines sang it very clearly smooth! Tbh both country have good singers but philippines stands the most!
If Koreans has vocal lessons in M.S. and H.S is just because they got a huge music industry, which is still increasing, with good singers. KPop is very rentable yet have pretty good music

Far from thin, a lot of Filipino female vocalists lower their larynx to create a fake 'big' voice. If you had a singer doing that vs someone who support properly with a neutral larynx and achieved resonance (both without microphone, of course) the low larynx singer's sound output would be drowned out

You don't know much about vocal pedagogy. Basically, a low larynx position create a 'big voice' and a lot of Filipinos female vocalists are doing this. Thing is, it's nearly impossible for a vocalist to lower their larynx properly if they didn't get trained as an opera vocalist. Range has nothing to do with larynx. Having a big range is nice potential wise, but if all you do with it is straining then it's kinda useless. I prefer listening to a tenor having resonance at C5 than listening to Alex Newell straining a C6
