They don't act like they're gonna turn. They act like they like what they hear, and if the singer gives them a little bit more, they're gonna turn. They often can't make a decision based on the just the normal notes. E: Okay one just put his hand up like he was gonna press the button, that can be annoying
P0lkoli they do actually do that, the producers instruct judges to hover their hand over the button and stuff to make it more interesting to watch. We even had a judge quite over it because she didn’t like the fakeness of it.

The danger of sounding the opposite gender in a blind audition is that the judges may mistakenly see you as within the normal vocal range of that gender, thus not turning around for you.
Got all the feels from that performance. Goosebumps. But I kinda think they were even more surprised to see a little white male kid standing there. He did MJ proud.
I think sometimes its that they know they have a really good voice but they don't know how they would help them or have the skills in their range to help them improve. Eg: if you have no clue about opera you can think they're really talented but not know how to help them

I love when opera singers go on shows like this because they rarely get chosen, the judges have no idea what to do with them, none of them would know how to train a voice like that. Hell, most singers nowadays don't even get vocal training themselves until much later in their already substantial careers because they feel like they talent is 'slipping' or want to learn to do a whistle note or something of the like.

I had to go back twice and listen to Ferry sing At Last by Etta James, it's one of my all time favorite songs. And I honestly have to say, is that he nailed it, the rifts, pitches were flawlessly done. I'm going back to listen again.
the girl singing "Ghost" is not even close to a male voice..its just that she sounds like a 60yo whiskey drinking girl and is in fact in the beginnings of 20...but not close a bit to any male voice
Not in every case. Fortunately if they train their voice they can maintain that amazing range. Its not that common but people like Dimash prove that it can be done.
@@ahmadammar3356 Don't know Ada Vox but if it's another example of a boy who was able to keep that higher register beyond puberty then no offense taken of course. Thank you for bringing another example to my attention

Think it's also for production value, doesn't seem as "dramatic" or whatever turning on a normal note rather than a note that's rather difficult to reach
I’m just saying that yes it’s good they they can sing that but I’m just saying that if someone sings like Billie eilish and not to high or loud lots of judges don’t turn for them and it’s unappreciated
For the most part, when you listen closely, certain instances of the voices give it away due to the respective male or female. Tho I will be honest, the second guy made me second guess myself for a second at the end
I think that 8th one has the most misleading voice out of all of these when it comes to their gender. But honestly, no matter how misleading all these voices may be, I think we can agree that each and every one of the 10 singers in this list put up a darn great performance

I had to go back twice and listen to Ferry sing At Last by Etta James, it's one of my all time favorite songs. And I honestly have to say, is that he nailed it, the rifts, pitches were flawlessly done. I'm going back to listen again.
Joe Jonas was probably thinking, damn! I didn't even sing that good when I was that kids age!! Lol!!
yytft
1:20 The beginning of the song reminds me of Kurt Hummel's voice. Anyone glee fan?
the girl singing "Ghost" is not even close to a male voice..its just that she sounds like a 60yo whiskey drinking girl and is in fact in the beginnings of 20...but not close a bit to any male voice
i was looking for this comment thank you .. absolutely right
They are only saying that its "male" because its in a low octave but you can easily tell when she did the voice strains 😂 that was a girl 100%
That singing was pretty. Dont disrespect it.
She didnt props even mean to sing in a "male" voice.
AND male voice is really hard to do for a female
Yeah, but her voice had so much power and it was special though. But you‘re right I thought that too
True
I love the audition of Take Me to Church!
Ok. The kid that did chandelier, if I just heard that voice, I would've swore to God that it was a girl!!!
norway ftw
Yeah! Haha🤣😂
I was shocked when he opened his mouth😂
More like an angel
Yeahh😍
In every clip their speaking voice should be added because that's the most interesting part....
Come on guys.....who runs this channel
Yes, they might sound completely different to how they normally talk and shock everyone
Agree
U not lying 😂fr
1st and 2nd one is unique unbelievable I wanna see again again
sad thing is the young male singers. their age will betray them. go from voice of an angel to bullfrog in a few years.
Nah some came from an angel to a greek god here
Not in every case. Fortunately if they train their voice they can maintain that amazing range. Its not that common but people like Dimash prove that it can be done.
@@musicandmoviefan9217 or Ada Vox, no offense
@@ahmadammar3356 Don't know Ada Vox but if it's another example of a boy who was able to keep that higher register beyond puberty then no offense taken of course. Thank you for bringing another example to my attention
@@musicandmoviefan9217
I'm a boy and at 20, when I pick up the phone, people reply 'hello ma'am'.
It's so damn embarrassing because I'm 6ft tall.
The first one was singing and I was: Wait this is my language but it isn't The Voice of Germany XD
Dachte ich mir auch 😂😂
Ich auch :D
Jup, genau so 😄
Ich war auch verwirrt, macht aber durchaus Sinn 😂
@@geisterfussl bei einer deutschen Oper? Durchaus 😁
Josh Richards really touches me , he really sings with a heart..sounds so caring., uhhhhhh🤗
I'm over here like why isn't anyone talking about 2nd singer?
I was at the edge of my seat thinking this couldn't possibly be a guy
He is from Bulgaria 🇧🇬
Awesome
Name's Nikola konstantinov
If you listen carefully you would know
The Sia Chandelier one kinda sounded like MJ in the way.
Its his loud exhale and sighs
Justin Yang I fully agree
I agree bruhh
YASSSSSS :3
He has MJ's vibe kinda.. i guess?
Omg the guy who sang "at last". By Etta James was absolutely fantastic!
He did Etta proud, didn’t he???
Kid who sang jar of hearts- officially my hero. I would not know that song exists without him.
All beautiful singers. But this world prefers pop and upbeat over opera which is saddening. Opera is beautiful and pure. Wish the 1st one was able to get that chance. Hopefully he went somewhere where they truly appreciate the talent.
Bruh he was bad
ALASKA Official yeah he was trash. He was so off key.
When u know nothing and wanna try looking like a culture human 🤡
The first one made a good effort but he was pretty off :/
These are some of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard on these shows, ever!
I liked this video for this boy 6:20 his voice is like woow..
whoa the first one was great! I know the opera but this was the first time I could actually understand the lyrics. He should def become an opera singer!!
What gives me the most joy is seeing the parents freak out and cry when they get the chair turns
I'm surprised that are so shocked at the young boy singing I'll Be There. There are some amazing young boys with voices like that, especially in choirs! If it was a kids show I think I'd be a lot more open on the gender of the voice!
The girl who sang take me to church damnnnnn 🔥
She killed it
Hormones are so confusing.
Kodus to all those people who sung their lungs out with unisex voices. ❤️
It's Timbre not pitch none of them sound like the opposite sex except the dude who sing party girls don't get hurt. He sound Androgynous between a higher than average male and deeper than average male simultaneously mixed to get a gender neutral tone
Most kids from age 0 to 12 have unisex voices, but I don't think Mature people have unisex voices 🤔
All the replies will have no context now 😂😂
Not really....
Abbey Guitar bc high notes r really hard to hit try hitting them urself also low notes sometimes gets the judges too not all the time tho
JDoactive if u find the right pitch then it isn't as difficult but still is
Think it's also for production value, doesn't seem as "dramatic" or whatever turning on a normal note rather than a note that's rather difficult to reach
I’m just saying that yes it’s good they they can sing that but I’m just saying that if someone sings like Billie eilish and not to high or loud lots of judges don’t turn for them and it’s unappreciated
The judges only press the button when one of them presses it.
Bystander effect?
The guy at 16:02 , 16:32 , 17:00 is Me trying to dance on parties😂
lmaooooo
Can't stop laughing 👏
For the most part, when you listen closely, certain instances of the voices give it away due to the respective male or female. Tho I will be honest, the second guy made me second guess myself for a second at the end
Me before watching: "Its just going to be guys singing falsetto isnt it..."
Me after watching it: " yep...."
Male singers >female singers
Master Reaper.....he's not singing falsetto, ignoramus. He needs work, but he's a counter-tenor. That's entirely different.
@@2eleven48 yep. LMFAO.
Half these singers are not singing falsetto lmao
I think that 8th one has the most misleading voice out of all of these when it comes to their gender. But honestly, no matter how misleading all these voices may be, I think we can agree that each and every one of the 10 singers in this list put up a darn great performance
i thought you were vizually lol
Holy shit!!! Even then damn cameraman waited til the last minute to show who it was!!! Damn yo!!! Not for nothing, they did a damn good rendition of that song!!! I love that song. C'mon!!! Jar of Hearts!
When’s the 8th one?
The third one... I didn't expect that huh🤣🤣🤣🤣
Me either!!!
Me neither, I swear
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just watched this video and thought that "The Voice China" contestant "Zhou Shen" should've been on this list. One of the most if not the most ethereal male singers I've ever heard. 🤗
Zhou shen is on another level

9:16 that's a priceless reaction
I wish the first guy enjoyed more success than ever n will continue to have that after this pandemic ends❤
