To accept a note you need not only to hit but also to hold confidently and execute this note. There is only one Adam Lopez with a note Eb8 (Guinness record). Dimash can hit half the tone below (D8). Even if you listen to Adam Lopez and his whistle notes, it is performed very quietly, Dimash hit these notes more strongly and the sound is much more powerful.

I love Dimash, because he can sing very low notes and in seconds he can make very high notes. He can also do so many things with his voice. Sohyang is incredible, but Dimash always leaves me paralyzed.

Sohyang can do everything expected as a great singer extremely well. Dimash do things totally unexpected from any singer. He creates his own music and totally unique. Can’t understand why comparing high notes and stuff. His unique musicality is most astounding for me. Coming from somebody who had been massive sohyang fan.
Dimash has an incredible range, but comes off more as a showman than a vocalist, while Sohyang is the opposite and more of a vocalist. But like the video creator intended, this reel is to highlight both talents, rather than disparage either. Keep it classy TH-cam.

You can take a look at Ogni Pietra, Love is Like a Dream, Sinful Passion, Autumn Strong, War and Piece, Your Love, Samaltau (Tokyo Jazz Festival version, he creates art without extreme range or a stage). Some of these didn't exist 3 years ago. He's the most complex artist I've ever seen. I love So Hyang too. I wonder how they'd sound together.

It's true that Dimash is extremely amazing when it comes to high notes, but you just can't put him up against So Hyang. Her resonance and support could overthrow Dimash anyday. They were both amazing, but I HAVE to go with So Hyang.

Le plus plaisant chez lui, c'est qu'il arrive à passer d'une voix grave d'une telle beauté à un rossignol chantant en un rien de tant et le tout très agréable pour nos oreilles ! C'est époustouflant ! La chanteuse, elle, a eu voix puissante dans les aigus mais semble plus crier que chanter et je n'ai qu'une seule envie en l'écoutant..... c'est de me boucher les oreilles, sans l'offenser. Elle a ses propres fans et j'en suis heureuse pour elle mais Dimash la surpasse de loin car son charisme est aussi son grand atout, un talent sans charisme n'ira pas loin!
Sohyang est une meilleure vocaliste, c'est un fait, Dimash est surestimé juste parce qu'il peut aller dans les aigus en étant un homme. Sohyang peut supporter jusqu'à C6, pour lui cela équivaut à C#5 puisque c'est un ténor, mais il ne supporte que jusqu'à G4 peut être même en-dessous donc cela veut dire que même si Sohyang chantait un octave plus bas, ses notes aigus seraient toujours plus supportées que celles de Dimash, il a d'ailleurs trop de tensions quand il chante puisqu'il ne chante pas dans la zone où il est à l'aise, ce qui est mauvais, sans compter qu'il force sa voix dans le 4e octave. Elle a une meilleure technique, une des meilleures, elle le mange vivant de ce côté là, c'est d'ailleurs pour ça qu'elle est officiellement classée "STAR vocaliste", c'est à dire une des meilleures chanteuses au monde. Et non elle ne crie pas, si elle hurlait sa voix n'aurait aucune résonance mais le fait est que sa voix a une magnifique résonance, des gens disent la même chose de Lara fabian... Notes basses : Dimash (Sohyang est une Soprano lyrique légère donc ses notes basses ne sont pas aussi développées que celles d'une contralto ou mezzo-soprano par exemple donc c'est normal) Voix de tête : Sohyang, au même niveau que la chanteuse Beyonce de ce côté là par exemple. Aigu/upper belts : Sohyang, elle est au même niveau que Patti labelle d'ailleurs, c'est impressionnant. Technique : Sohyang, largement. Si vous préférez Dimash, soit, vous en avez le droit évidemment, mais ne racontez pas n'importe quoi s'il-vous-plait, c'est la meilleure chanteuse de Corée et une des meilleures chanteuses D'Asie, ce n'est pas pour rien. Monroe Tory Bonjour, je ne parlais pas de la technique vocale, je parle de la manière dont les personnes lambda (comme moi) qui ne sont pas forcément es musique (comme vous je présume) perçoivent les chansons qu'ils écoutent. Moi, j'écoute beaucoup de musique je n'ai pas besoin d'aimer un chanteur parce qu'il a une meilleure technique que d'autres. Je ne suis pas sensible à ça. Ce qui m'intéresse c'est l'émotion qu'un(e) chanteur(se) réussit à transmettre. Justement il y a une chanteuse que j'aime beaucoup c'est Jane Zhang, elle peut aller dans le lyrique ça ne me gène pas. Et je suis désolée pour Sohyang qui est populaire certes mais qu'en Asie et l'Asie ce n'est pas le monde (je ne suis pas raciste car je suis asiatique moi même), elle m'irrite les oreilles quand elle pousse sa High note, j'ai écouté 2 x la vidéo et ça me suffit. Par rapport à ça, je maintiens que Dimash la surpasse. Il apporte une fraîcheur dans le domaine de l'opéra et beaucoup de monde vont y intéressés grâce à lui. À son âge, il est très doué et surtout travailleur, sa percée est fulgurante grâce à son talent et son charisme. La Chine est déjà conquise, le reste du monde suivra. Так что не надо говорить, что якобы "Димаш переоценен" . Это не правда. Он имеет большой потенциал(это говорят даже его критики), и он готов трудится и работать, чтобы совершенствовать свои навыки и исправить свои недостатки. Сохианг это уникум. Димаш тоже уникум.

But honestly, his high notes are not pretty at all. It sounds like screeching to my ears compared to sohyang’s high notes. The fact that he can go high is pretty amazing, though there are many singers who can go high even in the genre of opera, rock and heavy metal, for both male and female, not many sound clean and comfortable and pretty as sohyangs high notes. This is what most vocal experts have been complimenting about sohyang, that she has the most effortless comfortable high notes that eases off your ears.
Water Pail Dimash technically has the best voice in the world, having a six octave vocal range, but your right, his high notes aren’t always pleasing to the ear. I much prefer Sohyang, Mariah, Barbara, Whitney, Freddie, and so on.

He's still quite young, if he keeps it up, he'll revolutionise music. Saying he sounds screechy to you is subjective, it doesn't make him worse just because that your preference. Sohyang 100%. She has way better vocal techniques and the voice of an angel which makes the songs even more emotional. Many of her performances gets so emotional that people including myself literally cry.
So, here's my two cents. They're both amazing, obviously. I do think Sohyang sounds a bit more relaxed around her F5s - G5s mix compared to Dimash, which is natural, since it's extremely high for a male mix voice. However, this video covered about half of Sohyang's register (perhaps), and about a quarter of Dimash's. So it's obviously not trying to compare range, because then Dimash wins - that's just the way it is when it comes to range. Comparing how they approach these specific notes, I think they're equal, considering what I just wrote and the fact that Dimash is a guy. I'm also ignoring the differences in style, since I'm not sure how well Sohyang handles opera or how Dimash handles those same notes without going operatic etc. All in all, I've studied Dimash more than Sohyang, I love them both, but when it comes to a complete singer, it's difficult to find flaws with Dimash.

Dimash is my favourite - all the way. He has pure class, showmanship, humility, mastership... and as a man, his style is purely unique, haunting, shocking in its purity. But thank you for showing a comparison - they are both amazing. But for me now, there is no compromise, and no other, but, Dimash - he has a true inner beauty, with love and kindness as his grounding, along with pure hard work. Sohang is a Queen; but, Dimash is the Master - more than a King - definitely past being a 'Prince'. I can respect he is young and still has to go through life's experiences, which will shape him... but... even saying that, there are few MEN in the world who can sing six octaves... and he can only improve with time. Sohang can belt, and I find her approach fairly agressive for a woman. But.. Dimash, is the gentle giant in my mind.. and that will win me every time regarding a person. Just my thoughts, for what they are worth.
@Amy Tazzik honestly there's no point in comparing them at all because they are quite different singers For instance, So Hyang uses a balanced mixed voice when belting in the 5th octave while Dimash tends to use a heady mix from Eb5 (idk for sure) and so on. Other than that, Dimash's range (6 octaves) is way higher than So Hyang's ( 3 octaves ). And I noticed that the songs that you gave them were full of high notes in head voice which is Dimash's turf since So Hyang doesn't really showcase her head voice that much (at least compared to her belts). So based on the songs you gave Dimash will definitely do better than So Hyang. BUT what if we give the song "Everyone" ( So Hyang's version ofc)? Then So Hyang will overtake Dimash since that song needs the singer to belt in a balanced mixed voice (because it's So Hyang's version lol) and as I said Dimash doesn't really belt in a balanced mix after Eb5 (again idk for sure). Soooo that means that these two singers each has their own strengths and weaknesses but BOTH are amazing in what they do so I really don't feel the need to compare them (even though I just did). Just support your own favorite and don't talk shit about the other ones just because you like your favorite more over them.

To accept a note you need not only to hit but also to hold confidently and execute this note. There is only one Adam Lopez with a note Eb8 (Guinness record). Dimash can hit half the tone below (D8). Even if you listen to Adam Lopez and his whistle notes, it is performed very quietly, Dimash hit these notes more strongly and the sound is much more powerful.

You can take a look at Ogni Pietra, Love is Like a Dream, Sinful Passion, Autumn Strong, War and Piece, Your Love, Samaltau (Tokyo Jazz Festival version, he creates art without extreme range or a stage). Some of these didn't exist 3 years ago.

Quoi dire de plus que les autres à part que Dimash nous transporte dans une autre dimension avec sa voix sublimissime. Le plus plaisant chez lui, c'est qu'il arrive à passer d'une voix grave d'une telle beauté à un rossignol chantant en un rien de tant et le tout très agréable pour nos oreilles ! C'est époustouflant ! La chanteuse, elle, a eu voix puissante dans les aigus mais semble plus crier que chanter et je n'ai qu'une seule envie en l'écoutant..... c'est de me boucher les oreilles, sans l'offenser. Elle a ses propres fans et j'en suis heureuse pour elle mais Dimash la surpasse de loin car son charisme est aussi son grand atout, un talent sans charisme n'ira pas loin!
Sohyang est une meilleure vocaliste, c'est un fait, Dimash est surestimé juste parce qu'il peut aller dans les aigus en étant un homme.
Sohyang peut supporter jusqu'à C6, pour lui cela équivaut à C#5 puisque c'est un ténor, mais il ne supporte que jusqu'à G4 peut être même en-dessous donc cela veut dire que même si Sohyang chantait un octave plus bas, ses notes aigus seraient toujours plus supportées que celles de Dimash, il a d'ailleurs trop de tensions quand il chante puisqu'il ne chante pas dans la zone où il est à l'aise, ce qui est mauvais, sans compter qu'il force sa voix dans le 4e octave.
Elle a une meilleure technique, une des meilleures, elle le mange vivant de ce côté là, c'est d'ailleurs pour ça qu'elle est officiellement classée "STAR vocaliste", c'est à dire une des meilleures chanteuses au monde.
Et non elle ne crie pas, si elle hurlait sa voix n'aurait aucune résonance mais le fait est que sa voix a une magnifique résonance, des gens disent la même chose de Lara fabian...
Notes basses : Dimash (Sohyang est une Soprano lyrique légère donc ses notes basses ne sont pas aussi développées que celles d'une contralto ou mezzo-soprano par exemple donc c'est normal)
Voix de tête : Sohyang, au même niveau que la chanteuse Beyonce de ce côté là par exemple.
Aigu/upper belts : Sohyang, elle est au même niveau que Patti labelle d'ailleurs, c'est impressionnant.
Technique : Sohyang, largement.
Si vous préférez Dimash, soit, vous en avez le droit évidemment, mais ne racontez pas n'importe quoi s'il-vous-plait, c'est la meilleure chanteuse de Corée et une des meilleures chanteuses D'Asie, ce n'est pas pour rien.
Donc non, Dimash ne surpasse pas Sohyang, loin de là. :)
Monroe Tory Bonjour, je ne parlais pas de la technique vocale, je parle de la manière dont les personnes lambda (comme moi) qui ne sont pas forcément es musique (comme vous je présume) perçoivent les chansons qu'ils écoutent. Moi, j'écoute beaucoup de musique je n'ai pas besoin d'aimer un chanteur parce qu'il a une meilleure technique que d'autres. Je ne suis pas sensible à ça. Ce qui m'intéresse c'est l'émotion qu'un(e) chanteur(se) réussit à transmettre. Justement il y a une chanteuse que j'aime beaucoup c'est Jane Zhang, elle peut aller dans le lyrique ça ne me gène pas.
Et je suis désolée pour Sohyang qui est populaire certes mais qu'en Asie et l'Asie ce n'est pas le monde (je ne suis pas raciste car je suis asiatique moi même), elle m'irrite les oreilles quand elle pousse sa High note, j'ai écouté 2 x la vidéo et ça me suffit. Par rapport à ça, je maintiens que Dimash la surpasse. Il apporte une fraîcheur dans le domaine de l'opéra et beaucoup de monde vont y intéressés grâce à lui. À son âge, il est très doué et surtout travailleur, sa percée est fulgurante grâce à son talent et son charisme.
La Chine est déjà conquise, le reste du monde suivra. Mais comme j'habite en France et bien sa popularité dépasse l'Asie....

But honestly, his high notes are not pretty at all. It sounds like screeching to my ears compared to sohyang’s high notes. The fact that he can go high is pretty amazing, though there are many singers who can go high even in the genre of opera, rock and heavy metal, for both male and female, not many sound clean and comfortable and pretty as sohyangs high notes. This is what most vocal experts have been complimenting about sohyang, that she has the most effortless comfortable high notes that eases off your ears.
Water Pail Dimash technically has the best voice in the world, having a six octave vocal range, but your right, his high notes aren’t always pleasing to the ear. I much prefer Sohyang, Mariah, Barbara, Whitney, Freddie, and so on.

So, here's my two cents. They're both amazing, obviously. I do think Sohyang sounds a bit more relaxed around her F5s - G5s mix compared to Dimash, which is natural, since it's extremely high for a male mix voice. However, this video covered about half of Sohyang's register (perhaps), and about a quarter of Dimash's. So it's obviously not trying to compare range, because then Dimash wins - that's just the way it is when it comes to range.
Comparing how they approach these specific notes, I think they're equal, considering what I just wrote and the fact that Dimash is a guy.
I'm also ignoring the differences in style, since I'm not sure how well Sohyang handles opera or how Dimash handles those same notes without going operatic etc.
All in all, I've studied Dimash more than Sohyang, I love them both, but when it comes to a complete singer, it's difficult to find flaws with Dimash.

Dimash is my favourite - all the way. He has pure class, showmanship, humility, mastership... and as a man, his style is purely unique, haunting, shocking in its purity. But thank you for showing a comparison - they are both amazing. But for me now, there is no compromise, and no other, but, Dimash - he has a true inner beauty, with love and kindness as his grounding, along with pure hard work. Sohang is a Queen; but, Dimash is the Master - more than a King - definitely past being a 'Prince'. I can respect he is young and still has to go through life's experiences, which will shape him... but... even saying that, there are few MEN in the world who can sing six octaves... and he can only improve with time. Sohang can belt, and I find her approach fairly agressive for a woman. But.. Dimash, is the gentle giant in my mind.. and that will win me every time regarding a person. Just my thoughts, for what they are worth.

For instance, So Hyang uses a balanced mixed voice when belting in the 5th octave while Dimash tends to use a heady mix from Eb5 (idk for sure) and so on.
Other than that, Dimash's range (6 octaves) is way higher than So Hyang's ( 3 octaves ).
And I noticed that the songs that you gave them were full of high notes in head voice which is Dimash's turf since So Hyang doesn't really showcase her head voice that much (at least compared to her belts).
So based on the songs you gave Dimash will definitely do better than So Hyang.
BUT what if we give the song "Everyone" ( So Hyang's version ofc)? Then So Hyang will overtake Dimash since that song needs the singer to belt in a balanced mixed voice (because it's So Hyang's version lol) and as I said Dimash doesn't really belt in a balanced mix after Eb5 (again idk for sure).
Soooo that means that these two singers each has their own strengths and weaknesses but BOTH are amazing in what they do so I really don't feel the need to compare them (even though I just did).
Just support your own favorite and don't talk shit about the other ones just because you like your favorite more over them.
