So michters 10 and an unobtainable dark art picks at 150-200 the only clear winners over 35$ eagle rare. With a $130 1924 maybe slightly beating it.... and A124 is basically poison. Got it.
And to think, 5 years ago they had to put it on sale for $29 in NC because it was on every shelf in every store. Any bar that had it ...was the first thing on the whiskey list because it was the cheapest thing they had. Such a riot.
Recently tried Michter's 10 at a tasting room ($36 a pour) & it is tasty. Interesting how vastly different the flavors I get on my palate are from the 10 year vs the US1 bourbon. Not a fan of the standard US1 bourbon at all, but the 10 year I'd pony up for because it really is that damn good.
When you look at the prices. ER is the easy winner. Not that its the best tasting out of all of them. Still funny how crazy the blinds get for Dan and Sean and I am here for it!
You boys must have gotten lucky and picked up a good bottle of McKenna. Mine was complete garbage. It was like drinking some sort of cleaning chemical. Ended up giving it away.
Idk what you guys got in that juice of EC A124 but mine is pretty decent especially for the age and proof point I even grabbed a second bottle, I wish I could have done that for C923 but only found one bottle. I'm looking forward to B524. Eagle Rare is an easy win for me I love what I get from it and with it being like $35-37 I have nothing to complain about except availability.
Love the videos as always, but the scoring definitely comes off as odd often, mostly from that it doesnt seem to match your comments. i.e Sean - I like it, 72... Dan will look stunned (to the affect hes low.) comment how its really really good, then come back with 70... lol. But really, you guys probably should mix up the glasses after and go back through again.
Glad I'm not the only one that absolutely hates ECBP A124. It's the only batch I've gotten and frankly it's so bad that I'm scared to try any others outside of the unobtainable c923.
I found b523 way way worse than a124. C922 better than a123 and B524 (latest batch) the best other than c923... and its actually close. B524 is GOOD. I bought 2 backups after saying I was gonna skip it. (Did skip b523 and a124, tasted at bars and shares... and couldnt find c923 so it's also a bar taste) but c922 and b524 I've blinded several times and it's not even close. B524 is much better... and most people say c922 is a top tier batch. I didnt hate a124... but I didn't think it was worth buying... and I tasted it at a bottle share next to mostly 20-40$ bottles... so that probably made it seem better than it is. B524 has such a deep complex oak note sometimes, that in one blind I put it in, I thought it had to be a barrel spiral finished wild card I had in there... sometimes the oak on it hits CRAZY... similar to c923. If I had to guess... there some REALLY old (15+) juice in it despite the youngest stuff only being 11 yo.
Is $15 really worth worrying about in 2024? That’s the price of a sandwich. Loving my bottle will be bummed when it’s gone and will not be able to get another.
I get those are a patreon thing, but what're they specifically the wall behind yall? is it just really cool people supporting you guys and you shouting them out?
I’m so thankful that with the first two glasses you guys hit nearly on a matchup that I was part of a couple of months ago. I was at a friendly team competition and the final category for best in show was an ER10 against JD12 blind. ER won 7 votes to 3. I was shocked as everyone there was as well.
I have found in order to just FINISH my EC A124 bottle, I'm having to mix it with ginger ale. I just cannot drink it neat. I will never pick up another bottle unless it's a gift for someone who likes it for some reason.
@@Best_Overserved_--_No_Iceyour palate changes literally all the time. Things you love one day you could hate the next. There’s still very few people in the whiskeytube space that could beat these two in a completely double blind pour guesses style challenge. Dan consistently is top 3 in these things across the entire internet in the Matt Madness Tournament.
But yeah... eagle rare is a "get there in 15 minutes of them putting it out" product, a124 and McKenna 10 are the only two gettable bottles here. Just saw jack 10 for $400... Never seen the others. Think PA got a single bottle of michters 10 this year.
How can you not have Russell 10 year.
stopped the video once I saw that
Thats not one iv ever been a fan of, almost full bottle still on my shelf
Really
"Legitimately Lemon" sounds like a Bourbon Junkies Energy Drink Flavor.
Why do I think this needs to be a thing?! Maybe a special Liquid IV flavor...
More Obvious Flavors:
"A Hundred Percent Pear"
"Truthfully Tangerine"
"Needless to Say Sour Grape"
"It's Berry, Buddy"
"Sweet Sugar Nut"
“We Don’t Usually Like Nuts” cold brew with almond milk
Best ten year and picked nine bourbons triggers my ocd.
I was more triggered by Dan's intro saying "best 10yr ON THE SHELF" 😂😂😂

they are entertaining to watch, but i NEVER base any purchasing decisions on these guys lol
@@nkidd3358 😂 I find their blinds extremely unhelpful.
Eagle Rare is up to $100 a bottle now, where I am. Absolutely nuts
Dan spitting out the EC A124 is the most easily missed hilarious moments in this video
I saw it
Ec a124 is so gross.
Makes me not even want to open mine 😂
thank god I didn't buy it lol
Eagle Rare and McKenna are the real winners when considering cost. Those, for my budget, can be daily drinkers and I’m loving it
McKenna is slowly going down in the DC area, average is around $60 right now but wouldn't be surprised to see drop in the next couple months.
And to think, 5 years ago they had to put it on sale for $29 in NC because it was on every shelf in every store. Any bar that had it ...was the first thing on the whiskey list because it was the cheapest thing they had. Such a riot.
The McKenna 10 I had is very similar to the Maker’s Mark 46
You fine guys have given me a great start on my bourbon journey. Thank you so much. You are educational and entertaining.
No RR10?
I really was expecting it to be there!
Kind of a staple to compare others by, I agree.
Love that 1924 and don't get the haters on that one. Also, thanks for further validating my feelings on Eagle Rare. Great video!!! 👍🥃
The Dan/Cam bromance continues #90points also so happy that A124 got REKT
I’m lovin that Dark Arts pick!
Include Russell’s 10 next time you do the 10 year blind
Sweet sugar nut was my nickname in HS
Welcome to Who’s Blind is it anyways?, where the scoring criteria is made up and the points don’t matter 😂

Calumet Farms 10 year should’ve been on this list. Very good bourbon, decent price ($75) and very available. At least in KY. Also 100 proof
I have been waiting for a 10 year line up for so long. Love it
Old school Kentucky bourbon 1969 will kick your ass ! Good shit
Haven’t had michters, but jack 10, and Eagle rare have my vote
That's some wild scoring in the finals.
You boys must have gotten lucky and picked up a good bottle of McKenna. Mine was complete garbage. It was like drinking some sort of cleaning chemical. Ended up giving it away.
"Brunch with pappy 23" I knew exactly the vibes you were describing lol idky that made me chuckle
Eagle rare never disappoints lol
Happy 4th of July 🎉
Your Parker’s is broken. That bottle is outstanding

McKenna deserves the respect. Sneaky good.
Should have put the Russell's 10 in this
Happy 4th of July!! Cheers!
Bulliet 10 year?
Damn I love these videos… very entertaining
Feeling good for getting ER the other day at MSRP.
I'd be interested to see the consistency you've ranked individual bottles over multiple blinds
1924 has been in a couple recent blinds and scored well, JD10 has been around the 70's in a couple blinds recently, and we've always hated A124
Surprised you didn't add Old Rip to the competition. Happy 4th guys.
That 10 year blind is what’s on my to do list.
Uhm where is the Russell’s 10yr? 😢
Awesome vid, thank you both!
Trail's End 10 is the best 10 year Bourbon and very reasonably priced
I still stand by Eagle Rare for taste and price.
No 10yr four roses pick?
1924 does exactly what they said about it. Smells insane and finishes weak.
I got two of Cam’s Dark Arts picks. I haven’t had MGP like that in a while.
Who is Cam? thank you

wow, this was a wild ride
No surprise that ER10 for $40 is crushing everything valuewise

Great video
When are you guys bringing back the “Another Pour” podcasts
What year was the WLW ?
Now again with no single barrels ;) ... super surprised about the heavy char, but not the Elijah Craig lol
MGP for the win!!!
Round numbers are rookie scores. Everyone knows the rules.
“That tastes like; if you were gonna give yourself type 2 Diabetes”
M10 needs a warning label!
I'll translate for you - Michter's won.
Russel’s 10 all day

Always enjoyable.
The worst take I've ever seen on a whiskey when you guys drank Parker's heavy char.
That bottle is one of my favorite bourbons I've ever tried.
I really thought it was the ECBP
Where’s Russel’s reserve 10?
Actually shocked by how low Jack10 got
Still not paying those prices for OF1924. Not worth a penny over $100.
Bought it directly from the Distillery in Louisville for $115. Worth every penny
@@dan5087 definitely not worth the $150+ I’ve been seeing them in stores

Yes. People had the opportunity to purchase spots on the shelf and choose the whiskey that went on it.
When they switched locations from the hut while building the castle these were a fundraiser. Buy a shelf to help crowdfund the new build
Ahh that's cool, I was curious the lore/ context behind the wall and their channel. Appreciate the info brotha!
@@SHHDADDYSWORKN of course! You can go back and look at the whole process! They have multiple videos and updates of the castle build as it went along

It’s mid
Who is Danaiel?!?
Half assed his final 4 rankings
i can find exactly 2 of these on any given day lol
yay bourbon market :D
Golf in Michigan today, thought of your previous video while you guys were drunk golfing lol

Hey, get that bottle off my shelf. We all know it really belongs to Cline
Anyone else notice the DEVR on the shelf? Like wut?!
Nature age bourbon is best . Not straight mixed bs . Oak charred no blend with bite of whiskey with charred taste light on sugar or molasses.
Dan’s new name is “Sweet Sugar Nuts”
Oh it's not new
70 wtf on the bourbon of the year rly wow
Love it 😂

Right, who the hell is this "Danaiel" on the left?
6 on a Elijah Craig think yall pallet not ok
"That tastes like if you were going to give yourself type 2 diabetes." Hahaha.
JD 10 in the 8 spot? Really?
OK. But WHY do this with unattainable bottles?
Pond water hahaha
That McKenna is so inconsistent. Some of them have been all time fave bourbons and some are straight bad
Proof of the blinds. Now I feel better for getting multiple 🦅 back ups. 😅
Where’s the Dickel 10 year SiB?
Eagle Rare bourbon, not so good call way too sweet, no complexity and leaves the mouth bitter
Elijah Craig a124 may be one of their worst releases of recent memory
This just in… ECBP is still garbage. 😂 Continues to prove my point, if that juice was in a different bottle, no one would buy it.
woot first time ever like number 69! #notanadult!
So many other 10 years should've been in here. And I'm just gonna say it....McKenna is garbage.
Eagle rare , eagle rare, eagle rare !
Yeah not ganna be purchasing any single barrels from yall on second thought…
The inconsistency between these blinds and the past videos hurts your credibility.

Just admit you secretly hate ECBP, always putting the worst batches in these videos lol. A124 isn’t ECBP, drain pour it and stop using it in videos.
