My camp equipment is basically the equivalent to yours, I appreciate camping with quality gear and I know I’ll look after it so it lasts for many years.
Great minds think alike.
Love the detail DK.
Cheer mate.
Luv the vids bro... Keep up the gr8 work 💪
Appreciate it!
Glad to see you back Dan, excellent choices on gear !
Thanks mate
Double vestibule…totally agree ~! This is an important task to take on board 3:40
I use the same philosophy, low weight items etc. The only luxury item that I carry is the Helinox cot, i hate sleeping on the ground!
Got to be comfortable brother!! I have used the cot before and they are really comfortable.
Great info! Thanks for sharing! 👍🙂
Glad it was helpful!
great video mate. super informative.
Thanks William
Awesome vid mate, I've been watching your vids trying to guess your gear for years!
Thanks heaps 👍
Sorry mate, I just love heading out on trips and filming. Cheers
Absolutely gorgeous work my friend 👏👏
Thank you! Cheers!
Schmick vid dk! Looking forward to using some of this gear in March!
I’ll start planning the march trip. Cheers bra
Love your channel. There is a lot of nonsense on line …. But you have nailed it. Good advice.
I appreciate that! Glade you are getting something out of it. Cheers🤙
Awesome overview
Cheers mate.
Good vid come a long way in last few years light is right
Most definitely
Hi DK,
Interesting to hear about your specific gear preferences. Got some ideas to improve my set-up!
Look forward to your next adventure video.
Cheers!
Thanks mate. Glad you got some ideas from my setup. Got some more trip vids coming out soon.
I’m trying the BA 1P Bikepack tent this season. Trying to change how I deploy my gear ie taking in only the bare minimum into tent and leaving the rest in the waterproof panniers on the bike. One WP bag in the vestibule for other essentials I need nearby.
I like it mate, less stuff to pack up. Enjoy the new tent.
This is an awesome break down. Well done mate! Would be interested to hear your option on your soft luggage experiences 👌 I'm considering Rigg gear over the giant loop. Would love the mosko moto 40L rackless! But for the price yeah nahh.
Yeah, the price is a big one for the Mosko gear. I purchased mine thinking it would be awesome. They are good but could be better, bounce around a lot. You are on the money with Rigg gear, a few of the lads I ride with use their gear and are happy. I would love to try the Mojavi from Giant Loop. If I had my time again, they would be the ones I would get.
@@DKADV beauty! yeah I think I'm convinced on the rigg gear ey! I've also got the old GL basin. Can't fault it.. just want the extra room behind you.
An absolute belter of a lightweight gear setup mate rock on👍👍👍 What kind of tarp do you use for shelter.?
I run a Bunnings tarp for trips when there is a bit of rain about. It is a 2.4 x 3.0m tarp. 550 pararcord to rig it up and you're in business. My winter one is discontinued, but it is a 6x2.5 storm shelter.
Enjoyed the video. Wondering if you apply the same weight theory to consider your riding gear as well. Some of that stuff added up with jacket boots and helmet can make a big difference. Do you look for weight savings there.
Absolutely mate. I have gone for lighter riding gear with really good airflow. I'll try to get a video together with all my riding gear soon.
Good info. Similar kit to mine except that I’m using Kriega luggage on my 701, and I’m 6’4” which can make finding a tent a challenge.
Just curious how you carry your tent poles? The tent itself is always easy to handle but the poles themselves can be a bit long for many bags.
I'm tall also mate, so I know your pain. I put my poles in my tail bag to protect them from getting crushed in my side bags. I use a 20L roll bag, and they fit fine.
@@DKADV tell me about it. I’ve searched high and low for years and seem to have stumbled upon a reasonably priced option that ticks all the boxes from a Canadian company called Durston Gear.
I bought a new chair and head lamp….. now I have 20 head lamps 😁😁😁
😆 can you ever have enough? Awesome
Head touch mate, keen to see what you think?
Heading up to our place at Aberfeldy tomorrow with the 701, I’ll let you know
Plus I really appreciate the effort you go to in putting everything together
Can I ask what tyres you run on your 701 in the Vic high country?
I currently am running the Motoz Rallz front and rear. I hit the tarmac a bit on trips, so the 20% road and 80% off-road works really well for me.
Thanks for the response, I love the vids BTW.@@DKADV
What's the bag you have strapped at the front fender?
It is a Enduristan Fender Bag.
@@DKADV Tnx , what do you usually keep in there?
@dimitristsagdis7340 spare front tube and tools.
You’ve just cost me $300* 😁😁😁😁
Did you say Husk A varna ?
As you know, it’s “Hoosk” not “Husk”😉
