Basically. 😂 But sadly I DO get the reach of an excuse ....I watch an influencer (that wouldn't do something like that...) and she says she shares her lifestyle in love. I get that ....she's wealthy beyond what most of us can fathom, even most celebrities I don't think can keep up and it IS nice to get a glimpse in....this dude was saying he's letting people live vicariously through him so he thinks he's being loving to OTHER people....like viewers ...not necessarily the bride and groom lol 🤣 Though as a narcissist he probably thinks it's a huge compliment that he's willing to betray their privacy with his stamp of approval to share it. That's how my guy/gal friend did things. He would betray my privacy then later ask "oh, that was ok, right???" Especially when it was stuff he thought was embarrassing. To get attention. He was also Historonic if not NPD. So it's typical....that's all I'm saying.
I've also seen "get ready with me"s to where they wear the worst outfit. By that I mean offending the bride kind of an outfit, wearing white dresses and saying they want the attention. Yeah, hell no.
I agree with both you two. In my personal opinion, I really can’t stand most vlogs - both male and female vlogs. There are a couple of them that are okay - some I like are Maya Lee, PewDiePie, Garden Answer, Pokimane (although she did do one random vlog were she talked about the best bras to wear while gaming, lol. 😅 I don’t recall her showing anything though), and of course, Brett Cooper when she does do them of course, but most of them are just kind of weird to me… like I don’t need to see people doing regular things that all red-blooded Americans do in the morning, like brushing your teeth and drinking orange juice. Then their are the slightly lesser known “Christian vlog” channels, such as Bindi Marc to name one example, where the topic of the day is something such as “thirsty men”, “if your husband wants some nookie, have him do some dishes”, or “how to be ‘Christian’ sexy”, and then every thumbnail proceeds to have a woman with a skirt so long… you get the idea. I think I would just rather read my Bible, haha 😂. Overall, I am just saying this in all good fun, and don’t mean anything by it, but yeah, vlogs can just kind of be a weird rabbit hole to go down. 😅
I’ll put it this way….Social media content creators have a disproportionate share of narcissists and sociopaths. Or, maybe we just don’t realize how many of them there are out there. Present company excluded.

@@Mediafan-t7j it’s not even an apology lol. It’s a straight up insult 😂. Pushing the blame onto who ever was upset by their actions. What he actually said was “ sorry that you don’t have a better attitude towards all this disrespect I’m throwing at you.” 😂😂😂 crazy entitlement
Rolling around on the Bride’s veil then pushed Women aside to catch the bouquet ( which traditionally is for unmarried WOMEN) … Sorry, not sorry, is disturbing behavior.
Let me say...ELOPE. Big messy family here-ELOPING is much less fuss and the videographer can send you a copy and you can release it along with your gift registry. All while your phones are on silent and you are on honeymoon at an undisclosed location.
Had a friend post pics of “her wedding experience” of another friend -she did not post any actual “wedding pics”, just basically pics of other friends and herself but she also made sure she asked the bride first!
I wonder if this is why I don’t see many influencers from my country (South Africa). We have an act called the POPPI act that makes it illegal to post media featuring someone without their permission.
A wedding is the ONE day where it is ALL about the couple. Not anyone else, JUST the couple. That is a universal thing that everyone understands. If you can't put your camera down for ONE day and celebrate your "friends", you're the problem. You can't even apologize for the mistake and instead BLAME the couple for publicly agreeing with everyone else after you PUBLICLY shared their special day before they ever could. I feel so bad because they're supposed to be enjoying their honeymoon (a once in a lifetime thing for most) and they have to deal with this. The "influencer mindset" is truly a disease.
When my husband died, I didn't want anyone to post about it until I could process it. His friend who thinks he's an influencer announced his death and posted literally 5 minutes after he died. Then now, almost 2 years later, another friend who is an influencer talked about my late husband and said "it was great to connect with [dead husband's name] friend." When he didn't even bother to reach out to see LATE HUSBAND'S CHILD. That's how to connect instead of posting about it. They are so disconnected.
The Influenceza Virus. Symptoms include but are not limited to: Narcissism, Inauthenticity, Materialism, Exploitative Behaviour, Lack of Privacy, and a Lack of Empathy.
I didn't give any special instructions at my wedding, and so many people posted photos of my wedding on Facebook the next day. And not just photos of themselves, they posted me and my husband saying our vows, cutting the cake, the first dance. It was really upsetting. Makes me whish I could go back in time and tell people not to do that crap.
OMG that's so sad. I'm so worried this will happen when i get married, do you think it's okay for me to ask everyone to submit their phones outside during the wedding?
@@navyachauhan1129 that's sounds crazy, i would not go to a wedding where my phone would be taken away from me like i'm a child. just don't invite people you don't trust
i went to my cousins wedding a few days ago, and i can tell you it was so beautiful and it would just break my heart if they were to be vlogging it and someone would upload it before them. you could tell how inlove they are by their vows to each other and how they look at each other. the wedding was great, no one was on their phone at anytime and it just shows how much planning went into it so that everyone could have a good time (even for me because im 13 and there isnt much to do). this is so heartbreaking to watch that some other person felt the need to vlog and post it on the internet
I got married 15 years ago, almost to the day. I can't even express how grateful I am that we united before social media destroyed society. Regardless, glad you are calling out atrocious behavior and worse apologies.
We specifically asked people not to use phones during the wedding and my most important shot was ruined by my aunt. I asked my photographer to get a difficult shot that she successfully found angle for. It was a shot of my husband looking down the isle at me as I came and my aunt blocked my face in the shot with her phone while trying to take her own photos. She also wore all black to the wedding which I know she likes black but it wasn’t even a dress it was leggings and a T-shirt so it felt like she really didn’t care or respect our wedding at all.
I am at 36-year-old guy and if there’s one thing I’ve learned about going to weddings is you have to do what the bride says no if, ands or buts about it. It’s about them not you.
Couldn’t agree more. As a casual +1, who gets invited to weddings (I think I make a great guest), I never even take my phone out. I always volunteer to help move tables or chairs, or help with clean up, or wrangle children…. I couldn’t imagine someone vlogging another couples wedding. Especially after having been asked to not post or share or even record videos, but rather be present, in the moment & share in their love & be a part of the experience. It’s just that easy- don’t be insensitive towards the bride on HER DAY!!!
No. Two people are getting married at a wedding (usually). It's just as much the groom's day as it is the bride's. And I don't even believe in marriage anymore, but that is still a fact.
@@diskonnekt1313yes, but the thing is that the groom usually doesn’t care as much on how that day goes. A wedding has always been a woman’s “fantasy” If i were to ever marry i would let my bride have it her way and make it as perfect as possible for her.
My brother just got married. He and his bride had a rule of no cameras (other than the photographer/videographer) and no cellphones. Literally, if I saw anyone vlog at his wedding I'd have a few choice words. Mave have gotten them kicked out. People's weddings are not about you. They are about celebrating the bride and groom coming together as husband and wife. Put your phone away, put your camera away.
This is true for "regular" people too. Don't post photos of the new baby until you are given permission. Don't post wedding photos before the couple does, unless, of course, you have permission. Ask first is a good policy.
And most importantly, do not post about someone's passing until all family and friends have been notified and the IMMEDIATE FAMILY chooses to make it public.
I'm a professional independent wedding officiant/minister. Close to 95% of my couples ask me to tell the guests before the ceremony to turn off their phones to be in-the-moment with the couple. VERY few people ignore my announcement. I guess I have a pretty good "minister stare" that makes people behave.
I just imagined holy spirit light shining from some minister's eyes and making funny Lazer noises. 😂 Idk if you mean a Christian minister but I like it!
I'm so pissed I didn't think of having someone tell people not to use their phones, just got my wedding photos back and LITERALLY EVERYONE has their damn phone out in every picture of every moment. If anyone has the nerve to ask me why they aren't in the photo album, just wait...😂
My husband and I made the same request on our wedding day: no phones out during the ceremony and thanks goodness to the evidences of our photos and videos, every guests respected our request. It’s a moment you’d want to sit and enjoy.
At my husband's cousin's wedding, the pastor and there were signs saying, "Please don't record or post our ceremony." Well, my FIL recorded part of the ceremony, and my husband told him, "Dad, you can't record." And he said, "I will record if I want to." My husband looked at me and I did a, "Idk what to tell you..." face. My FIL sister also recorded part of the ceremony and posted it online! Well the cousin's wife got upset! My husband's cousin called his aunt, upset! "What part of the do not post did you not understand? The reception pictures are fine, but we specifically asked not to post pictures of the ceremony?" The aunt lost it! She started to play the victim. When my FIL told us what happened, we were on the bride's side and my MIL too. It's their wedding and what they requested. It was the only thing they requested! Heck, when we took pictures, at the reception with the bride and groom, I showed the pictures to the bride and asked her if I could post them, when we got home. She said, "OMG, yes please!"...Follow the rules!
I can never understand why people think they can be so entitled at weddings. Like, it’s about the bride, groom and if they’re religious, their God. Not you
Im@@PadmeSkywalker-ig2mrit seems like an ego issue with people like that. "I'll do what I want! You can't tell me what to do so I will just dig my heels into the ground to prove it."
This happened at my wedding. We don’t have any photos without my aunt standing in the aisle or my MIL holding up an IPAD. I made a huge deal about no photos or videos ONLY for the ceremony and my pictures were all ruined.
Yeah for real. TBH as a parent I get wanting to film but not to share it until you get permission. I think it's crazy and self absorbed to also want to "edit" a wedding like crazy in videos that will be for family. Life used to not be like this. But being respectful to not interrupt the ceremony for this stuff and to not just put it before the world. People don't understand privacy anymore.
That sucks. I can't relate....we could never afford a wedding but went to the courthouse. I was 9 months pregnant and wanted to just lay down. Lol My pics suck and I didn't want any but met my mom force me into taking some, after she also made me put on a shade of lipstick that looks awful on me. I had to Photoshop what I could just to feel ok putting it online. Glad she didn't know my friends mostly, since she posted what she wanted. It's rough to think of paying for it to be a certain way and it's not but worse to think your aunt and MIL were disrespectful. I'd want some money back. Lol And I'd hope my husband would say something to the MIL. It's the principal of it.
Recently, I took a walk at a bird refuge to enjoy a peaceful evening. Unfortunately, this was disrupted by an influencer filming numerous TikTok videos, causing myself and others to wait multiple times for her to finish. Some influencers are so focused on getting all the attention that they don’t realize how much they are inconveniencing others.
I would’ve purposefully ruined every shot and went on with my day, i love in hawai’i so i’ll wait a minute for people to take photos but if you don’t get it on the first take i’m carrying on.
Didn’t listen to boundaries requested by the people that invited you TO THEIR WEDDING. That’s not respect and love for people. That’s narcissism and not a friend. I hope they ban him from their life. And anyone else who was going to invite him to anything person should rethink that decision.
The sad thing is that it’s not just influencers. People don’t know how to live without posting everything in their lives, including things that aren’t their business to post.
Dear lord 😡 I truly CANT STAND when people who chronically victimize themselves with every single perceived hardship, from identity, sexuality, illnesses etc. when the very basic reason is simply explained, is the most obnoxious thing about social media. People falling difficult illnesses that people really struggle with, on a very massive scale of hardships, to people always using their identity/sexuality as THE ONLY reason that they’re being called out, when it’s really their crap personality etc. I can’t.
During my wedding my wife and I requested that if anyone took photos to send them all to us instead of posting them and we sent out a link to an album about a month after the event. Anyone who didn't want to comply was asked to leave. We had people not show up due to some wedding rules set. It's their problem with not listening, someone send them back to grade school so they can learn.
14:04 so she didn't bother to consult alex and kouvr before posting their entire wedding and crossing their boundaries, but she wishes they would've talked to her about this personally? Gosh some people just need to get punched
I’m having the craziest deja vu from this and just realized it’s because this exact person has done this before. They take absolutely no accountability whatsoever for anything they do and are always putting their “friends” in horrible situations. This isn’t even the worst thing they’ve done
I'm real tired of people who would rather ask for forgiveness than permission. That does not fly with me, if you care what i think you'll ask me before proceeding.
Nobody at my wedding should have any right to film at my wedding except the videographer. This says a lot coming from a young woman who’s not sure about getting married or doesn’t want to. I’m 19 btw in case anyone asks. Like, if anyone else tries to film at my wedding and refuses to stop, you can get the fuck out of here. Love your content by the way Brett. Keep speaking for this generation
A non-apology apology, sometimes called a backhanded apology, empty apology, nonpology, or fauxpology, is a statement in the form of an apology that does not express remorse for what was done or said, or assigns fault to those ostensibly receiving the apology.
Hey Brett, I'm 14 years old. And I just wanted to say this fired me up!! Just the audacity for this women to do this for someone at their own wedding...i love that you and i agree on so many different levels about so many diffferent things
I've been a wedding photographer, and one of the things that I say is, "Please keep your phone away. Do not take photos, especially during the ceremony." I've only got one chance to photograph that first kiss, and if someone puts their freaking phone into the center of the aisle, it can ruin MY shot, and the couple doesn't get the chance to have that moment captured by a professional they paid a lot of money for. I can't imagine having to shoot around someone VLOGGING during the ceremony.
I hated this for Kouvr, they invited their friends and family. Not influencers. 2020 me was screaming at Kouvr and Alex’s wedding they’re the true love story. They deserved better. Also want to say, not only was there a sign, it was on their invitations as well as the program.
I agree, I’ve been waiting for it just to hear it was ruined is beyond disappointing my happiness for them just plummeted hearing that it was ruined for them, I was super exited as well, I really hate that this happened.
This is literally why I left my work phone in the hotel room at a recent wedding. No content. This moment was for the people, it wasn’t for me. Of course I took videos and photos - PERSONAL ONES! For the bride and groom! And the wedding party! And I’m so happy I did now that this happens!!!
I'd have been *"that"* person and said, "Umm, excuse me, Alex and Kouvr have asked that no one film. Yeah. It says it right here on the program. (And a billboard on the way in.)"
Yeah I was wondering why no one sitting around him said anything. But then again, if this influencer is known for always playing the victim card, people were afraid that if they asked, even if ever so gently, that this influencer would turn it into a video making them look transphobic.
Love this youtube channel.. This particular episode makes me really realize how grateful I am to not have a clue who these "influencers" are. Grateful that I am totally comfortable with not being in the loop. 😂 From what I've seen... it's insanity. The fact that the person who fucked up isn't owning it speaks volumes. I'd rather be alone than have a "friend" like that.
Someone in my Fiancé’s family (still don’t know who) blasted our engagement everywhere before we even had a chance to officially announce it. A lot of people don’t understand privacy or respect anymore for others special moments😞
its fine, the only two people you may have heard of are the couple who got married but even then they are mostly popular amongst teenagers because of their rise in popularity during the lockdown in 2020 in a content group made for viewers about 15 - 10 years old . the rest of these influencers are unheard of by most having a loyal fanbase of about 7 people in total
One of my best friends got married not too long ago. I took pictures and videos but for her to see! I was praying nobody posted anything before my friend and her husband got to. And we’re not influencers! Yet we know better. It’s a shame, how the hunger for fame and money has made people so desperate 😑
Congratulations for the wedding! 🎉 I've been watching your videos for a while now, you've benn very inspiring to me and I am so happy for you and wish you the best ❤
HOW cam someone go under this much hate and STILL refuse to acknowledge anything and make it all about themselves, which is the ENTIRE thing they are getting called out for
Her pronouns are she/her. Gender identity isn't a privilege that can be revoked for bad behavior; trans people are people, and some people are assholes.
It absolutely is a privilege for other people to "comply" and use that language, it only benefits that person, it is absolutely a privilege not a right.
He’s had everyone around him affirming his delusions for very, very long. He’s not used to caring about other people, showing basic respect, admitting fault, etc.
I would never invite someone to my wedding who would even consider doing this. It is crazy that someone would be that entitled that they would expose the most intimate day for a couple for views and money. This is just so sad for Kouvr and Alex and of course extremely disrespectful
I flew ten hours for my cousin's wedding. Didn't take any pictures. The only time you should be taking pictures at a wedding is a) if you are the official photographer b) if the couple *ask* for people to take photos.
Yep. The most recent wedding I went to, they did ask guests for photos. They had a QR code on the tables for guests to share those photos with the couple
Influencers have gotten so bad that I am genuinely terrified to take my child out in public out of fear of someone recording her or us and posting it online. I specifically never post my child's face.
Same. I am afraid of that happening too. My ex mil tried to stalk my son and i had to make sure schools dont post pictures of him ( he is a gorgeous young boy he got asked to do child modeling more then once) because they were very eager to post him on their school websites. I am so afraid some random person thinks he is good looking and will take pictures of him to post. Its scary. Hes only 5 and i am the one that needs to protect him. Its scary and difficult
I couldn’t imagine. I’ve taken pictures at my friend’s wedding (phones were allowed) but I still ASKED before I posted anything on my IG. They were totally cool with it, and neither I nor them are influencers. It’s just common decency!!
@@JustARandomPerson1 Well, anyone over the age of 40 knows that and people with common sense but we live in a world today where everyone views live through their cell phone. Also, most of the people there were people that make a living on social media making videos. So in a situation like that, you kinda do need to be explicit only because people today don’t have common sense and you should point that out to them. It’s like when you’re in a presentation or a conference and at the beginning on the screen, it says turn off your cell phone and the person even says before I start turn off your cell phone and literally 15 minutes later someone’s cell phone is going off. And of course everybody looks at them like a moron because that’s what they are.
I am someone who has been a long time fan of Alex and its just so sad to see honestly because weeks before the wedding both Alex and Kover where expressing how exited they where with post I saw on there snapchats and then they does this truly selfish and the fact it could have all been avoided by them putting their phone away. A wedding is a special day between two people who love each other and the fact they clearly asked for no phones and they clearly expressed they weren't okay with this.
I don't normally comment on TH-cam, but I had to on this one because it's so completely insane. The level of narcissism is astounding. I'll admit I know who none of these people are, I don't use much social media so my knowledge about current trends, influencers, pop culture, is generally from videos like this (which I quite enjoy). Politically, I am somewhere in the middle, though strongly lean to the left on certain issues. The past couple years I've decided to watch commentary videos from all across the political spectrum, but especially those who I disagree with, because I want to understand others' viewpoints. This and Brad Polumbo's channels are my favorite and I'm grateful to be watching because it's helped me have an open mind to all political viewpoints. I'm only gonna bring up the trans thing because I am a transgender man and I hold some viewpoints that the LGBTQ community considers "problematic." Bringing ant-trans bills into this person's "apology" video was completely unnecessary, and here's the thing. Obviously I can't speak for all trans people, but a lot of us just want to integrate into society and be treated like everyone else. I don't disclose the fact that I'm trans because it's not my entire personality. I think where we miss the mark is by hammering people over the head with our beliefs and forcing acceptance and accommodation when doing so only pushes people further away. By framing EVERY topic and every controversy as a trans rights issue, we're not gonna gain anyone's acceptance. You can't change people's minds with anger. I know I have family members who will never be okay with the fact that I'm trans, and they don't have to be. I'm not oblivious to the fact that it's not the safest time in the world to be trans, but for the love of god, this was one of the WORST ways to bring it up, and this is an example of how we are literally "pushing an agenda." Sorry for the rant, but I felt this was something that needed to be said (and maybe you don't get a ton of trans people commenting on these videos, idk).
Not only do people hosting a wedding ask you to be unplugged bc they want you to be fully mentally present, but bc people holding up phones will RUIN the EXPENSIVE professional photos that photographers take!! They can sometimes edit it out but it takes so long and doesn’t always turn out right. Anyone who takes it into their own judgement is just disrespectful.
I’m not impressed with his 4 hrs either. My grandparent’s 50th anniversary celebration several years ago was at a location 26 driving hrs away (with no stops). We did it in 28 hours, only 2 hours worth of fuel and food stops.
Lol and these are the same type of people that DEMAND apologies for the most insignificant things. Yet they can’t take the blame for something as disrespectful as this. Ridiculous and self absorbed.
"It's a Virus!"... Babe. Isn't that where the term 'viral' came from? The word is so creepy out so badly that I had to get off of TikTok and insta. I barely go on anything but TH-cam now. Love you! Also congratulations on your wedding and marriage!💛
That sounds exactly like a narcissistic “apology”. Where they don’t actually apologize but they are just giving you reasons why you are wrong to think what they did was wrong. And then this person has the audacity to say why are you worried about what I did when laws I don’t like are being passed. As if that had anything to do with the whole situation. And then tries to blame the married couple at the end?!? This person is so self absorbed that they can’t even see what they did was wrong. 🙄
I was JUST recently at my cousin’s wedding, and it was stunning - but literally everyone (particularly Gen X) was taking pictures and videos of the whole procession and ceremony and posting it on socials, before she ever had a chance to post, and it just made me a little sad for her. I purposely left my phone in the car because I just assumed it was rude and unnecessary to have it on my person or be using it. I can’t IMAGINE the rage I’d feel if I were Kouvr and Alex.
I hate generalizing based on age but it's almost always older people who criticize young people for being too attached to devices who don't respect the request for an unplugged ceremony
@@laurakennedy1172 I normally hate that too, but I couldn’t help but notice how my age range and under didn’t have their phones on them whatsoever 😬 boomers and gen z were leaning out in to the aisle to get pictures and video, which messes up the (very expensive) photographer and videographers’ angles 🤦🏻♀️

It’s one thing to know it. It’s another to have the capacity for empathy.
Narcissistic behavior is rampant nowadays.
How dare you say that a wedding should be about the bride and groom! (gasp) You must be transphobic!
you spelled "woman" wrong
that is not a universal thing lol. A wedding in my culture is about the whole family not just you.
They are so disconnected.

that is so horrible for them to do that to you. im so sorry for your loss. sending lots of love ❤
I'm sorry for your loss and pain.
The insanity of people thinking they are connecting 😳 when they just post foe views. Very odd.
I see that so much and it’s disgusting. People want attention/sympathy when somebody dies.

Just remember who they were for future... It's common decency not to
OMG that's so sad. I'm so worried this will happen when i get married, do you think it's okay for me to ask everyone to submit their phones outside during the wedding?

i went to my cousins wedding a few days ago, and i can tell you it was so beautiful and it would just break my heart if they were to be vlogging it and someone would upload it before them. you could tell how inlove they are by their vows to each other and how they look at each other. the wedding was great, no one was on their phone at anytime and it just shows how much planning went into it so that everyone could have a good time (even for me because im 13 and there isnt much to do). this is so heartbreaking to watch that some other person felt the need to vlog and post it on the internet

That’s horrible!
A wedding has always been a woman’s “fantasy”

Should be THE policy. Maybe even the ONLY policy
My SIL did this with my baby
@@ajmehok23 Besides common sense and courtesy, asking first is important because some people don't want their children's photos on the internet.

Next time try to get in their shots and make faces. 😂
I feel like they are aware they are inconveniencing others...it's that they don't care😢
I would’ve purposefully ruined every shot and went on with my day, i love in hawai’i so i’ll wait a minute for people to take photos but if you don’t get it on the first take i’m carrying on.
why on earth would you wait for her to finish? that’s why/how they keep thinking they can get away with this shit

I'm not oblivious to the fact that it's not the safest time in the world to be trans, but for the love of god, this was one of the WORST ways to bring it up, and this is an example of how we are literally "pushing an agenda."
Sorry for the rant, but I felt this was something that needed to be said (and maybe you don't get a ton of trans people commenting on these videos, idk).
Fame doesn't buy intelligence or class.

@@jennafairbanx I believe it. I'm Gen Z and maybe it's just the company I keep, but none of my friends are ever on their phones like that
This goes on the same level as the ukulele apology video
Honestly I think this could possibly be even be worse than the ukulele apology video
wait, what’s the ukulele apology video???
@bugpopsicles Colleen Ballinger- famous Youtubrr who eventually got outed for sexual and creepy behavior with her younger fans. Swoop has a whole video series deep dive, Blaire White talked about her and I'm sure many others. Adam McIntyre, one of the victims has a fun channel now despite all that which makes me happy.
The video and fiasco is really awful
“Unfortunately I vlogged it”- Like it wasn’t a choice 🤦♀️ … Common sense is not so common any more & I appreciate you drawing attention to it! While politically we differ, I thoroughly enjoy your content - Thank you for your non-nonsense POV.
Do they know how to act, anywhere? 😂😂
