Love Island knows what they are doing too. By selecting women who aren't confident enough to leave their face alone, they are insuring a cast of women who fall apart the second they feel an ounce of rejection by a man. It makes for loads of drama and tears!
Very true. I never liked these shows, but I saw them on TV as a kid. Now being in my 30s, my dating life has been nothing like this. I may be old-school, & never done online dating, but I do understand how kids see this & think it's how it's supposed to be.... So sad.
I was 25, went to a surgeon because i didnt like my nose. He told me my nose was perfect and for sure he although a good surgeon will definitely not make it better than it already is. In 5 min I was out of his office happy and never thought about any surgery ever again. We should have more doctors like that.
Girl me too people don’t believe me but I was 21 had enough to pay for my teeth. I thought I had horse teeth I went to one of the best dentist in my area he refused to touch me and said I had a beautiful smile. He filled my cavities and I left smiling so happy. I think he was tired of seeing young people destroy themselves. Till this day I’m 25 now and will never get veneers
It's funny how 20 years ago it was always beauty magazines that were giving unrealistic beauty standards. Now women are directly doing it to eachother through social media.
the beauty standards are not unrealistic. you can meet them as best as possible. as per this foolish woman in this video, natural beauty is also not using deodorant, letting armpit hair grow out, letting your mustache hair grow (as a girl) because after all "it is naturall!" natural does not mean beautiful
@@idkwhatthisisforplzhelp3678 Yup! Don't wear makeup much. But I used to see my friends sleep in it. My mother told me it is one of the worst things you can do to your skin. She's also the one that told me about hydration and moisturizer. She always looked younger, figured I'd listen and learn.
A lady asked me which high school I'm enrolled in. I just laughed and said, "I graduated 10 years ago". She was very apologetic but I loved it! I actually have few wrinkles around my eyes already but it's not noticable by other people. That's the key, often people won't notice what seems to be our insecurities. I just try to stick with a good skincare routine, eat good and hydrate! Also, how we dress and do our makeup affect how people perceive our age.
Similar thing happened to me. I’m helping out in a restaurant and this woman asked me if I’m a high school student part timer and I said no I already went to uni and she said but you’re not finished right? I graduated uni 2 years ago and working full time now 😅😂
My 5 year old just finished kindergarten and there were so many days that she would come home and cry saying she needed make up because the other girls in her class wouldn’t be her friend unless she was pretty like them with all their makeup. It is definitely not a patriarchy problem, it’s girl against girl.
I agree it’s always been this way. At that age girls want to be around the cute girls with the stuff. The only reason my 5 year old had friends in the early years is because I dressed her cute. She had a cute backpack, hair clips whatever and I set up play dates because she was shy. By 3 rd grade she had friends and the girls coming over. It may sound superficial but it works. Oh they always have to be clean. You would be surprised at how many kids were sent to school stinky and got labeled stinky in kindergarten. Def no make up for you girl of course. But give her some confidence in clothes, shoes whatever she needs. By the time they are in high school they won’t care about that stuff. Mine didn’t bit it sure makes the elementary, middle school years tolerable. I know it hurts to see your child hurt but girls are ruthless. Much luck to ya❤️
How come those other girls are even allowed to wear make up? If the parents are stupid enough to allow it maybe the kindergarden should say no and enough is enough?!
I do understand that comment. I'm 55 tomorrow and it's hard / strange to see the first changes hinting of advancing age. I think it's knowing that life is entering another phase & older age is getting nearer. It's a privilege but it's also a challenge; to get accustomed to it, when life before that was all about the things of youth. I've had no cosmetic procedures; just used good skincare since my teens years. It would be very difficult to see the irreversible damage and changes caused by self inflicted procedures like fillers & Botox.
I can tell when others have filler. There's always pressure to look young. I'm happy to be 30 and filler-free. My style is minimal makeup/clean beauty products/natural esthetics etc. Others say I look in my 20's still luckily.
What makes you think 40 year olds look like that ? lol I’m 44 and do not look like these women and plenty of other women in this age group look way more natural than this there is no age for the plastic look they have their own category and they shouldn’t be compared to woman that are aging gracefully.
@daus6035 It's a joke. I'm aware some people don't look their age. My mom is 65, and she looks like she's 40. My comment is not serious, so don't take it personally or seriously.
@@daus6035ok good for you but some people in their 40s are aging badly. Everyone ages differently, so comparing yourself to other people doesn’t make sense
Brett, your takes are always so refreshing, and as a 20 year old Christian conservative I look up to you so much. You are such a light! Thanks to you and your team for what y’all do.
And they’re not ugly women too I’m sure they would be beautiful if they didn’t do this to their face. It’s just so sad to see women ruining their faces with filler.
By the time they turn 30 their fillers will fight them by ruining their faces. Then they'll have the need to "fix" it by adding more fillers. By the time they're 50, their faces will be bloated like deformed balloons.
They only have themselves to blame. It’s not us men demanding women do this to themselves. We just want a woman, preferably without the makeup, plastic surgery, and all that other garbage.
My mother is in her 50s, never done anything to her face (also barely does makeup), and people get surprised when they find out she is older than she looks: at first they think she is in her 30s or early 40s.
Eek. Sent a screenshot of the women to my hubby at work. He guessed around 40, bottom right one he thought 50-60! Ouch! And we are mid forties ourselves. 😬
I’m 63 and this is disgusting. Even at my age all of the “mature cosmetic commercials” are about aging gracefully. What man would want this. Sure I’d love to look like I’m in my 20’s heck even 30’s again but I’m embracing my bumps and wrinkles because every day on this earth is a gift, and I will carry the battle scars with me!
I tell my daughter and my students (usually elementary school girls 3rd, 4th, and 5th) that your unusualness makes you unique and beautiful. Our features set us apart, and the "beauty industry" makes us feel like we have to constantly be in these narrow boxes, but in reality they take these features and highlight them occasionally. We as girls/women have to celebrate and embrace our differences while not beating ourselves up about why we don't fit into all the boxes.
I agree with you. I remember very clearly the first time I ever saw Jennifer Gray. It was in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. I literally thought she was the most stunning, amazing beautiful, unique looking woman I’d ever seen. I’ve seen Dirty Dancing a hundred times. I literally didn’t recognize her after she had work done on her nose. I was sad because I thought she was perfect as she was.
I had a 28 year old friend who was a nurse in a hospital get a job at a plastic surgery clinic. She had issues in the past with body dysmorphia and bulimia. Working there was a trigger and she started getting regular Botox and filler treatments. Friends and family tried to convince here to see a therapist for her issues, but she blocked us all. She ended up getting Palsy as a side effect of the treatments. It took her 6 months to recover. She left the clinic for 2 years. This week she announced she was rehired by the same plastic surgery clinic. We are so done with her.
But who cares if she’s getting stuff done? How is that hurting you? And it’s not hurting her. Bell’s palsy is common and transient, you can get it from the flu vaccine.
WTF is the doctor thinking? Like he's partially to blame too. It's not like she's forcing him to take her money. He could literally say no if he felt it was inappropriate to continue treating her.
I am 38 years old, and anytime I tell people my age, they insist I must be lying. No clue why anyone would think I would lie about that, but that is the reaction I always get. And it’s not just now. Throughout my late 20s and 30s I consistently appear to be much younger even though I am a tall statuesque woman. I say that not to flatter myself but there is a point to this. For one thing, I think people don’t realize that being in your 30s doesn’t make you old. You are not a kid but you are still not old. Even in your 40s, you’re not old. Therefore it shouldn’t be assumed you are going to LOOK old. Second, I have never gotten a single injection in my face, and I have never been in a tanning bed nor do I intentionally tan myself in any way. I’m quite fine with being pale. I do wear make up because I enjoy it. But even without it, I have no wrinkles or age spots. Maybe some pimple scars but that’s about it. Also, my mother is the same way. She has always looked younger. She has never gotten Botox or any plastic surgery, she doesn’t go tanning, she has never smoked, very seldom drinks, and I believe all that contributes to her youthful skin. So I’m gonna let you in on what you actually SHOULD be doing to take proper care of your skin and prevent early signs of aging. Your skin is an organ. It’s a big external organ. You need to care for it the same way you care for any organ in your body. That means not putting a ton of toxic chemicals in it or overworking it. Doing anything that causes your skin to have to change and adapt is going to cause damage over time (hence we get stretch marks when we gain and lose weight). Drink water. I know that’s not so much an issue these days as people carry water around in this giant jugs now. But it’s still an important factor. Skin care products are supplemental method of skin care. They help, but you can’t fully rely on them to keep you looking young forever. I repeat, skin is an organ. It starts from how you treat your body in general. Take care of your liver and gut. They affect so much more than you know. Try to eat a lot of foods that nurture your gut. Sorry this ended up being a crazy long comment but I felt it all needed saying.
I remember I was planning on getting a boob job, lip filler and possibly a bbl when I turned 18, but at 17 I decided to first stop wearing any makeup and simply take better care of my body and prioritize my mental and physical health. Now I’m nearly 20 I’m SO glad I didn’t do anything to mess with my body. I’ve learned to appreciate my body and face regardless of my perceived imperfections and it’s so freeing, I wish I could share that peace with some of the other girls of my generation, I genuinely feel so bad for them 😔
It' shocking how many teenaged girls are seriously considering contorting their faces and bodies. This is the result of adults behaving as if children and teenagers are their equals and capable of making decisions for themselves. There are times when children and teenagers should be given autonomy, and there are times when they should be given guidance, protection, and where necessary, prohibition (with a full explanation as to why something is being prohibited). Adults gave their children too much autonomy, and this left them suggestible to malign cultural influences. It's a frightening situation.
Well done! I went through similar thoughts, but like you learned to accept and see the natural beauty in my face. I’m mid 20s and sticking to keeping what youth you have is so much better than pumping artificial stuff into your face. Cheaper, too! 😉
@@thvtsydneylyf3th077 Not necessarily friends, but all throughout social media and in Hollywood, the best of people are displayed. I was a dumb kid, I saw women who had more conventionally attractive bodies than my own (be it through natural or artificial means) and I wanted to feel pretty too. I’ve had friends who’ve felt the same way, thankfully we’ve grown since. But the beauty standards pushed on young girls now are impossible and hopefully more and more people will start waking up to how ridiculous it all is.
@@GloryBiscuit fair enough. I do recognize the medias role in all this as well. i also hope that somehow young ladies buck this trend soon because its so damaging.
I'm 28 with 3 going on 4 kids and look younger than these women 😂 the years of sleep deprivation and aging that comes with children isn't even making me look as old as these women have chosen to do to themselves?! Yuck
I’ll be 56 I look better than these women and I only washed my face with dove soap and water. Sunscreen of course. Wow it’s really sad what they are doing to their faces
I've heard multiple men I've known saying how could women expect men to be fine seeing them in public without makeup, filler, botox. I'm not saying it's all men, nor the majority, but ive definitely heard it from both sides.
We need a mindset shift. When I see an 80yr old woman's face with smile lines, scars, and spots and I think wow she is so beautiful and she has lived a full life. Age shouldn't be something we fear or we spend our entire life not living at all.
People always guess my age is younger than it is too. It bothered me when I was a teen but now that I’m almost 40 it’s kinda nice. One time when I was 25 a flight attendant didn’t want to let me sit in the exit row because she didn’t think I was at least 15 (or whatever the age limit is).
I’m right here with you! I still get weird reactions for buying alcohol, people look at me like I have a fake ID or something. I’m 30 and I get younger people asking me if I go to high school or college because they haven’t seen me around school 😂 weird part is I’m getting gray hairs already but my face is still baby face lol
Remember when trends and fads were experimental clothing, jewelry, haircuts, makeup styles? You know, NON permanent things. Now SURGERY and other MEDICAL PROCEDURES are the fads/trends ...
I remember hating my nose too when I was growing up. I wanted a nose job so badly. Then all of a sudden one day I looked in the mirror to realize I actually have a small/normal size nose. I still remember the day it hit me, like it was yesterday. We are so delusional over our appearance when we are kids. I use to sit on the floor looking into a mirror & cry bc I thought I was the ugliest child at only 6 years old. I don’t know why we are so hard on ourselves but it’s heartbreaking.
Brett, honestly, every episode that you do about plastic surgery and talk about your nose and how you grew into it gives me hope. Thank you for being such a good role model for young girls.
My wife is 45 and doesn’t need a damn thing! I saw this trend in Miami 25 years ago and a woman that was only 25 that lost all of her muscle in her jaw and had to have reconstructive surgery to retain her facial muscles. Botox is a neurotoxin and should be used sparingly for things like migraines in the back of the neck, and potentially at the temples. I’m so glad Brett is bringing attention to this.
I'm 40, I've always been slow at aging. Two months ago a lady thought I was 19 and yesterday I was asked to produce ID for trying to buy alcohol for my friend. I was refused service because I didn't have any ID on me at the time. Genetics plays a huge part (thank you Serbian mum) however, I've led a clean life, being a dancer helped, but I have moisturised my entire life. It all helps.
Yeah, like I'm older than those women too (I'm in my late 20s) yet I look WAY younger and prettier than them lmao!! When Brett pulled up those pics and asked us to guess what their ages were, I thought they were in their late 40s or something. Heck, even my Mom who's in her early 50s looks way better than them. Like WTF bruh 😂😂😂
Social media boosted this phenomenon. Since being doll-ish has been pushed even before the internet era, they do whatever it takes to look doll-ish like so many women before them. Social media makes it easier for them to gain validations.
It's alarming how much young women are succumbing to cultural pressure to look a certain way. Natural beauty should always be celebrated. The real appeal is in your natural self, in being comfortable in your own skin.
@@Dyson_Cyberdynesystems that's a huge concrete statement to make. Statistically speaking, you are incorrect. I have heard men I know in daily life stating these things as a requirement. I'm still not going to take that and say all men feel that way because that would be untrue. I was talking to a man who asked me how women think they'll be okay with seeing their face without makeup and how dare they go out without it. I would say I've seen less men who find this desirable than women. From your perspective, who are you seeing promote it?
i agree. as a dude I have nevver heard a man so much as hint aggression or distaste, at the idea of a natty female. I thinkk most men prefer natural beauty over anyting artificial and have done since forever. most of the pressure like brett says all the time , is from other women!
@thvtsydneylyf3th077 I've been told by men, "How can women think we're okay with seeing them without makeup on?" And how women need to get botox in their twenties so they don't start looking old. I know this isn't all, nor do I claim this is the majority, but I have heard multiple times.
I’m 39 and other moms in my son’s kindergarten class think I’m in my twenties. The key is good hydration, I love aloe vera water, lots of veggies, beans, nuts and quinoa. And NO face products. Just good quality makeup on special occasions! Keeping stress low and following a good Christian lifestyle. Drama and chaos will add years to your face.
@@thvtsydneylyf3th077Yes, I always make my own. Here’s my recipe:) #1- Cut bottom off one aloe leaf and stand up in water for 1 hour. This removes poison #2- Cut off green skin and rinse under cold water #3- Chop into pieces and add to a large jug of water (I usually put one leaf into 1.4 liter jug) #4- Let rest in fridge for 6-8 hours *It gets thicker and more potent the longer it rests. I will drink for 3 days and freeze the left over aloe pieces for smoothies Enjoy 🥰
I relate to you so much! If I didn't have such great parents boosting me up I'd probably would've ended being negatively impacted by the media more than I already was.
Maybe you're onto something. I'm a mum in my thirties. Someone came to my house to sell services and asked if my parents were home. I was a bit confused. He actually thought I was 20 at best. However, I never tanned, and I believe this is the main reason I still look kind of young despite being chronically ill.
@@madelinefindlay6973 When I think of women in their 30s I envision a more polished look (not old) but still maintaining youthful features. It’s concerning that these women look to be in their mid-40s.
Wanna know my secret to youth? No makeup lol, went to the museum a couple months ago and the worker gave me a 17 and under ticket. I'm 27 for reference 🤣
All of Brett’s videos recently are so bubbly and she seems so happy and she laughs at jokes whether she makes them or someone else does and I absolutely LOVE it it is so uplifting!
I've said this for at least 15 years and no one listened but now that the Kardashians faces are melting and changing and lumpy and weird suddenly people are paying attention.
I went to high school with a girl who, in my opinion, was very beautiful, especially her face. She moved to the Bay Area, started working for a few tech-adjacent firms and by her late 20s started to get this kind of work done. Fast forward to 10 years later and she looks almost unrecognizable. The wide upper cheek bones, the long drawn out chin, the exaggerated, elongated “heart” shape face, you get the idea. When she takes photos with her mother they look about the same age. It’s sad.
That's weird because I'm from the Bay Area and work in tech and plastic surgery isn't really a thing here, at least for women who come from money and have class lmao
Amazing how tolerance and inclusion applies to freaks and degenerates, but Christians and Jews are apparently fair targets for intolerance and exclusion.
I was gonna get some work done on my nose because I felt I needed a higher nose bridge and some botox. The surgeon said my nose looks great and I still can pass off younger than my current age(29). I felt so happy and relieve. I still wanted to support the surgeon for not wanting to gouge my money and saving me from my facial dysphoria. I just got their facial to plum up skin. Saved money, my natural beauty and self esteem.
I remember complaining about aging and wishing I could get plastic surgery. Somebody said to me, "Don't you realise that's the face your children and your family love. When my husband died in his 40s, I realised that getting old, is a privilege sagging skin, lines and grey hair included.
Men get Botox, fillers, face lifts, chin implants, liposuction, etc, but they definitely don’t talk about it at all! They want to look more youthful and “Alpha” in the competitive workplace.
I was talking to a girl on Snapchat for a while. She sent me lots of pics and I thought what a pretty girl. We got along well, had lots of phone conversations etc. Eventually we agreed to meet up. I was 47 and she was 31 so I was concerned about the age gap. When I met her that concern instantly disappeared. Firstly she was obviously a pro at using Snapchat filters and secondly she looked older than me. I knew she did lip fillers and Botox etc. but seeing her in person, she looked like one of these whacked out, 80 year old Beverly Hills women that have had their face Frankensteined.
that sucks so much. snap is filter-centric so you should've at least been suspicious but sure man, from 31 to 80 is a significant leap hard to ignore an anyone tbf.
@@ItsMeHi116 Nothing. We are still friends. She has since moved out of state. I actually like her as a human being. I was just disappointed that she ruined her face like that. Saw pics of her in college. Naturally beautiful girl. At some point someone made her feel like it wasn't enough which is kinda sad. She has since started a family and I am happy for her. She seems happy and content now.
@@TimothyT230 glad to hear she is doing well! A co-worker of mine, when she first started literally startled me when I met her, her lips and cheeks etc. I went and lurked her IG and was so beautiful before she went crazy on the injections. She has always been super into fitness, great body and now is a twig w veins. A mutual friend that has know her for yrs mentioned something quickly and vaguely about how she’s so upset that a “fitness instructor/or spin class instructor ruined her self confidence.” I didn’t ask further, but you’re right, it was likely someone in your friend’s past that made her feel the need to do that. 😞
Cooper, you probably wont read this, but ive just gound your channel and i love you! So refreshing to hear a young woman saying these things. Keep up the great work!
It’s crazy how the girls my age that I know in real life (I’m 28. Some of them are a few years older or younger), they use their filler/botox as a flex. They are very proud to say they spent the money and get injected. They love talking about it and it’s like a social status! I’ve never had anything done but I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get fomo at times. I’m so glad my husband has talked me out of it over the past couple years. It’s very normalized and gets pushed a lot!
Don't give in! Age gracefully and naturally. You'll be so, so thankful in ten years' time. Also, when I was struggling in my 20s, so many women in their 30s told me "Hang in there, you will feel SO much more confident in your 30s!" and they really were right! I am glad I listened.
I love this! Brett, I am about 20 years older than you and I don’t do any injections, etc. to my face. And I don’t ever plan to. I think taking care of your skin and letting yourself age naturally is best for everyone. I honestly worry about, the younger generation. Preventative Botox sounds like such a hoax. It is so nice to see a young woman speaking against this nonsense. And for the record, I think you are stunningly beautiful and I’m glad that you never did anything to your nose.
this seriously made me feel so much better about myself. ive felt so insecure because of all these beautiful women with big lips and have been contemplating getting them (im 30) and this was all of the confirmation i needed that i will NOT be getting any filler and will be working on loving myself more. id rather not fuck my face up for good and would rather learn a skill that will benefit me long term in life. brett you’re amazing ❤
I just turned forty this year. Last last year at 39 I was hospitalized for an emu. It's a test on the brain for people with epilepsy. A few of my nurses had to be early twenties. They didn't realize how old i was until they looked at my file on the system. They couldn't believe I was 39 years old. I never got filler, or botox in my life. Water and a good diet is key. None of this anti aging cosmetic crap. You can't stop aging because you can't stop time. You can take care of yourself to keep it from prematurely aging you.
I’m 35, all natural, no fillers, occasionally I use Jurgen’s natural glow self tanner. Guys say I look like I’m 24. Occasionally I drawl the lip liner over my lip line. No lip fillers. People often comment that my 16yr old daughter and I look like sisters. Not mother daughter. I also grew into my looks naturally as I got older like you. Very true, I wish more young ladies had examples of this.
What you are saying comes from the same mentality that lead these young women to do this to their faces "young wins" you simply achieved that same goal these women have by opposite means to them. But you share their desired destination "looking youthful which is equated with looking great". Can you look old and great, too? What if I look my age or even older than that? What if I cannot reduce my stress? I never read "I am 35, all natural, no fillers, occasionally use xyz on my face. Guys say I look 45." Generally we guess age by median we associate with that age and are exposed to. So if all 35 yo looked like 24 naturally then we would associate how they look with their age.
@@graciegr2467 How we look is important because our appearance reveals our habits, lifestyle and health. If you take care of yourself in terms of diet/exercise and skincare, you will age more slowly, that is something to aim for because it's not just wrinkles you're keeping at bay, it's cancer, ms, heart disease, arthritis and a host of other diseases. Injecting stuff into your face makes you look deformed - it's important to tell young women that they'll look much better if they don't do that and show them how to care for themselves in a way that is healthy. We all look our best at peak health.
So many people are telling woman that they get worse while they age, and that men look better with age. I personally have always wanted more definition in my face, but I realized I just have a baby face for now. I understand that with age, things will change. I look forward to my aging, and I have already noticed a big difference in my face and body from my teen years. I have gained a lot of confidence from just aging normally.
it cant be easy i guess. women have always been valued for their beauty. it just seems that women today instead interpret this to mean that they need to stay hot forever which just makes them look older quicker. i think the issue with that is that the modern female is 'wasting' her beauty instead of maximising it for her life benefit.
I'm 40 and feel the best I've ever felt. Unless I go on social media see these perfect botox filtered young ladies. It does make me question if I should be doing something. I deleted instagram and barely go on other stuff. Internet and social media have really pushed the limits. I remember botox being for 40+ now its 20... I feel bad for the youth today.
I’m 43 yrs old and I still haven’t needed not one injected in my entire face. I’ve noticed some very minor changes to my face nothing super noticeable. I’m told I look like early 30s. Healthy eating, sleep, meditation, positive thoughts is the answer to slow down aging. And most importantly accept yourself as you are!
I was once told a story by a friend who asked her grandma (when we were kids) why she never got her ears pierced. And her grandma said "If I was meant to have those holes in my ears then God would've put them there Himself." That has stuck with me over the years. I am now 40 and don't look my age, because I stayed away from tanning beds, harsh cosmetics/skin care products, fillers, plastic surgery, etc. I love how I look and my husband doesn't complain either.
i’m 24. i have acne scars, blemishes, and minor wrinkles BUT i still have my baby face. this is horrifying that these women aren’t even in their 30’s. if anything women in their 20’s should have a good skin care routine not making trips to get fillers. this is crazy.
Had a woman in a store ( around my age) tell me her granddaughter asked why she has so many crinkles. I loved her reply of her saying because she is very lucky. To get older and old is a privilege.
I am glad I am born in a generation before there these 'fillers' pandemic. As a Sri Lanka, I was born in Era during civil war in Sri Lanka, studies during high school. managed work and study after high school, and covering war and post war situations. Like you, there was a time, especially in my pre-teens, I didn't like my nose at all. I am also so glad, I didn't do anything crazy to my nose, because it looks too big during my teens! In my part of the world, looking darker is also not seen as pretty so most of the time, I used to be always with fairness creams;however, nothing can stop sun burn from the sun in the North and East of Sri Lanka. I am 40 now, but looks 22. The lesser make ups,
This reminds me of that clip of a tattoo artist competition where the artists were arguing. A girl & a bloke. The girl was a 26 y.o girl who clearly had fillers on her face. The bloke then quipped, "Why do you look 40?" 😂 🤣😄
I live in the southern part of the US, I know so many Registered Nurses who are now doing injections. We can’t blame only blame the plastic surgeons but blame healthcare workers in whole.
As bad as the look is, I find myself unable to condemn someone who has found an open slot in the market-place, no matter how stupid the procedure may appear. Ok, so I do hope they go home feeling guilty about themselves. But overall, it's on the individual who has chosen to commit such atrocities on themselves, assuming they are an adult making a choice of their own free will (obviously). I will just shut up now. huGGs
In the UK you don’t even need to be a nurse. Jess (winner from the last season) was an injector of some sort and not trained in healthcare. It’s dangerous.
Some people do look younger than their age, but by natural things like good food and exercise there is nothing wrong in taking care of yourself naturally
running makes it happen quicker. i wish more women understood this but sadly this will be another 'trend' that they didnt necessarily want - reverse surgeries etc. and not all of them will end well or be successful. just stay natty ladies plsss
Dear women I'm speaking for all men here: No Fillers No fake nails (the longer the worse) No fake eye-lashes Only wear the absolute minimum of make-up, you are not Leonardo Da Vinci, painting Mona Lisa, stop it. Stop the unnecessary cosmetic surgeries No fake hair No fake personality. Just be real and stop hiding behind a curtain of insecurity. *Oh and summerdresses. Always wear summerdresses.* Thank you.
Exactly! I'm like with what Cooper said and the comments, ahem! 40 is not that old, so excuse me. I've never smoked and don't tan so I think I look pretty good. I think I look more like I'm in my 30s.
50s, definitely not, come on. A naturally aging woman in her 50s has sag. These young ladies may have the mature look of a 40 yr old, but not the aging look of menopause. JLo isn't the standard for 50s, even if society thinks so.
They look to be in their late 30s or more. Anyway, my late wife was still getting ID'd well into her 50s, her mother who is now 80 literally still looks to be 50 at the most. Their secret, they never wore makeup, didn't worship the sun, ate right, no smoking, no drugs and NO cosmetic horse shit. My adult daughter is now 39 and looks 20, although she has developed a few wrinkles from stress and not sleeping well due to her job. But still compared to any other woman her age the difference is massive.

At 48, I'm embracing every bit of the aging process. Of course, there are things I would love to change, like my jiggly thighs and triceps. However, I work extremely hard these days to take care of myself through healthy lifestyle choices, and I would never change my journey. I love where I am in life, and I will continue to age gracefully. I love when people think I'm much younger than I really am and I contribute this to my lifestyle.
I like the point you made about your face not being fully developed. Because I'm 29 and I personally feel like I had a glow up around my mid to late 20s...
It's true! I always hated my round, undefined face. As I entered my late 30s/ early 40s, lost some volume and face looked better than it ever did in my 20s
I’m a 26 year old woman in the uk (which we can all agree on is extremely filler obsessed) and I have none. I sometimes feel like “oh no forehead wrinkles!” Then remember that I don’t want to keep pumping shite into my face 😭 it ain’t worth it to look older eventually and not to mention shiny! I’m all for people doing what they want (legally and within reason) but people need to really wake up and realise this is a problem big time
100%! i’m 28 in the UK and my nail techs (have had 2, one 2000 and the other 2004) BOTH had faces full of filler and all of their friends did. migrated lip filler, they both openly went on sun-beds and used tanning oils, etc. it’s so normalised amongst younger people (even people my age tbh) and i haven’t seen a single person with fillers who looks better or more youthful lmao 😭 it’s definitely enough to put a lot of people off them for a few decades at least
I’m 28 years old Siberian immigrant. I have to show my ID everywhere I go. Doctors ask if I need a school note and I have been kicked out of bars because they think my ID is fake. I use to be angry that I look like a child but I’m grateful because I won’t look 30 until I’m 45-50
Let me just say, your nose is so pretty! You’re so pretty in general. I swear I do not see what you mean about your nose. Please never get any surgery to change it!! You don’t need to grow into it even now; you look great :)
Great episode and something young women really must hear and heed. The pics I have of me at age 19 in 1998 vs me at 45 now (just last month) are not super different. I have my smile lines now and jaw definition and a thinner face in general. I do have inflammation under eye bags but my glasses cover those when I want to. I've never tried botulism injections or fillers, up close it looks so plastic it's painful almost. Anyway, I was so lucky my mom always told me to grow old gracefully, no fillers, no face lifts, let your grey hair flow. I've done it all, just waiting for the grey hair I LOVE it. We should all heed the warnings of the youth that are reversing the fillers and also listen to my mom, just accept who you are, do your best with creams, and non invasive skin procedures like discoloration/melasma lasers nothing wild.
Love Island knows what they are doing too. By selecting women who aren't confident enough to leave their face alone, they are insuring a cast of women who fall apart the second they feel an ounce of rejection by a man. It makes for loads of drama and tears!
OOOH that's such a good point!
Woah you’re onto something here! Also nice name 😉

Yeah, I only had my nose done because of a deviated septum and serious lightning bolt shaped cartilage 😅
But what about your other finger? 😉

So true.
100%. It was my cousin’s birthday a few days ago and he would’ve been 30, but he’s forever 28. Aging is a gift.

They are used to things spraying them in the face

I tell my daughter and my students (usually elementary school girls 3rd, 4th, and 5th) that your unusualness makes you unique and beautiful. Our features set us apart, and the "beauty industry" makes us feel like we have to constantly be in these narrow boxes, but in reality they take these features and highlight them occasionally. We as girls/women have to celebrate and embrace our differences while not beating ourselves up about why we don't fit into all the boxes.
Beautiful attitude
I'm learning this! We need to have this messaging all the time.

Holy hell, that sounds like a junkie who recovered and is willing to work with the very dealer who put them their in the first place.
all women are so, so vain.
It’s called Bell’s palsy, not palsy.
Old age is a blessing, not a curse.
I totally agree.
Yes i lost my young mom who was 44 and it hurts seeing others who are her age😢

I saw this trend in Miami 25 years ago and a woman that was only 25 that lost all of her muscle in her jaw and had to have reconstructive surgery to retain her facial muscles. So much of what the "medical" industry sells fits that definition.
Wanna know my secret to youth? No makeup lol, went to the museum a couple months ago and the worker gave me a 17 and under ticket. I'm 27 for reference 🤣
I sat down at a bar, and got served a kid’s menu. 🙄 like if you thought I was a kid, why didn’t you ask me to leave the bar?
All of Brett’s videos recently are so bubbly and she seems so happy and she laughs at jokes whether she makes them or someone else does and I absolutely LOVE it it is so uplifting!
I'm 24 and I look like a 19-20 year old. These women are in my age range and look like they are in their early to mid 40s 😢🤯
Same! I worked with teenagers at a family fun entertainment park and they all thought I was in high school when I was really 23.
Just got attacked and called delusional on reddit for being a Christian so I definitely needed some good Brett Cooper today, thank you! ❤
Amazing how tolerance and inclusion applies to freaks and degenerates, but Christians and Jews are apparently fair targets for intolerance and exclusion.
That's brave of you to still be on reddit! I left the dumpster fire years ago 😂 God bless!
It's Reddit. What did you expect? Half of them are a bunch of 14 year olds.
You got this girl.
don't let others to stop your religion beliefs, it so beautiful to have a some to believe in your life and it's help your life a lot, Jesus is King ❤
My mom used to say that she earned every line, wrinkle and gray hair and she was fine with getting older.
the don't end up looking younger, they end up looking like the older people that attempt to look younger!

Hardly true of all women. It is true of one type of woman….
Men get Botox, fillers, face lifts, chin implants, liposuction, etc, but they definitely don’t talk about it at all! They want to look more youthful and “Alpha” in the competitive workplace.
Nonsense
Curious as to what happened after that first meeting/date? You got along well prior, but she duped you with the excessive filters.
I'm fixing to be 36 and many think I'm in my early 20s 🤣 I get people who are like 25 26 talking to me thinking they are older than me.
Millenials don't age. Its the same for me
Yup! I’m 35 with a 13 year old daughter and people have assumed we are sisters.
I’ll be 42 in 2 months and a couple of years ago a waiter asked me for my id. 😂
Sameeee! 32 here and people think I'm a 18-20. 😏

Me: I am the parent.......
Honestly this current trend needs to stop
Fr it's crazy
You will be so grateful in 10 years' time for NOT getting them!
I'm 34 and think they look older than me and I have had no work done. Do what you want but yikes.
I'm 59 and they look older than I do😂
I’m 47 and they look older. I’m floored.
I’m 32 and I also feel like I look younger then that and I’ve had no work done lol
Right. If anything just do a little
Botox and stop there. Fillers are not it.
@@ruthhorowitz7625same here. I'll be 55 next month, no surgeries or filters, and I look younger than those women. Why? Just why?
I just turned forty this year. Last last year at 39 I was hospitalized for an emu. It's a test on the brain for people with epilepsy. A few of my nurses had to be early twenties. They didn't realize how old i was until they looked at my file on the system. They couldn't believe I was 39 years old. I never got filler, or botox in my life. Water and a good diet is key. None of this anti aging cosmetic crap. You can't stop aging because you can't stop time. You can take care of yourself to keep it from prematurely aging you.
as a girl who lives in britain , i can confirm alot of girls do this at a young age and its very very annoying because they think they look 'leng'

No, I think we should stop telling people what to do. I’m more of a “show” person myself😉🥰😘💅🏾💋
Raise the volume ❤😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
i’m 24. i have acne scars, blemishes, and minor wrinkles BUT i still have my baby face. this is horrifying that these women aren’t even in their 30’s. if anything women in their 20’s should have a good skin care routine not making trips to get fillers. this is crazy.
Tell them❤❤❤❤❤
I just turned 24 last Sunday and I have the same things. But I get told I look 10 years younger than I am all the time😂
Had a woman in a store ( around my age) tell me her granddaughter asked why she has so many crinkles. I loved her reply of her saying because she is very lucky. To get older and old is a privilege.
I’m 27 with two small children… they make me look like I’m 19 again 😬
I literally thought all 3 were the same person at 3 different ages
I thought so to at first! 😂

The lesser make ups,
Yikes! What are they doing to themselves?!? They look soo much older.
I'm 43 and I look younger than these 20 year olds...yikes yikes yikes.
This reminds me of that clip of a tattoo artist competition where the artists were arguing. A girl & a bloke. The girl was a 26 y.o girl who clearly had fillers on her face. The bloke then quipped, "Why do you look 40?" 😂 🤣😄
Yes. Thank you for convincing me a while back. Never got it, and thankful for it.
That’s England for you! I’m 31 and people constantly tell me I look 20. I’ve never had the desire to put anything fake in me.
Best defence is staying out of the sun/wear sunscreen.
They will spend THOUSANDS over the years on tans and “tweakments”, and then balk at the price of healthy food and skincare SMH
Ladies let yourself get older it’s natural you can’t RUN from aging….
Ironically, their rush to preemptively artificially slow aging ages them worse than natural aging.
They're running straight to it. Face first!! 🤣🤣🤣
Some people do look younger than their age, but by natural things like good food and exercise there is nothing wrong in taking care of yourself naturally
@@Yulia.chandrika that’s the point!
running makes it happen quicker. i wish more women understood this but sadly this will be another 'trend' that they didnt necessarily want - reverse surgeries etc. and not all of them will end well or be successful. just stay natty ladies plsss

Dear women I'm speaking for all men here:
No Fillers
No fake nails (the longer the worse)
No fake eye-lashes
Only wear the absolute minimum of make-up, you are not Leonardo Da Vinci, painting Mona Lisa, stop it.
Stop the unnecessary cosmetic surgeries
No fake hair
No fake personality.
Just be real and stop hiding behind a curtain of insecurity.
*Oh and summerdresses. Always wear summerdresses.*
Thank you.

"None of these women are close to 30" -I was thinking around 37...
No! They look more like 50's! I'm 40 and I look 20 years younger than these women! So glad I never got fillers
You look 20 years younger? I doubt it.
Exactly! I'm like with what Cooper said and the comments, ahem! 40 is not that old, so excuse me. I've never smoked and don't tan so I think I look pretty good. I think I look more like I'm in my 30s.
I'm 43 and I look 10 yrs younger than these women.
50s, definitely not, come on. A naturally aging woman in her 50s has sag. These young ladies may have the mature look of a 40 yr old, but not the aging look of menopause. JLo isn't the standard for 50s, even if society thinks so.
Exactly. They look like botoxed cougars
Any other? Lol come on now 😂

So agree!! I always tell the women in my family that their natural beauty is such, they don't need a lot of make-up or work!!
As I entered my late 30s/ early
40s, lost some volume and face looked better than it ever did in my 20s

Not tanning, in the early ‘00s we all tanned and now I’m 33 and every thinks I’m 25 lol
It's horrifying... How do they think they look better? I don't understand.
