I made this when it first aired wayyy before 2 years ago. My baby was in diapers.. She's 8 now. We were dirt poor and I made this because this is what I had at home and it was really really good
Been making this for my daughter since she was a little girl because she refused to eat the spaghetti sauce. I use olive oil, some butter and garlic powder... sometimes I use fresh garlic too... and once its done.. toss the noodles in the sauce, top with parmesan cheese.

i used to cook this pasta a lot during my days as a starving student. the absolute eating on the cheap, but freshly cooked! i would throw some tomatoes in at the end as well sometimes.
I have been making this recipe for 42 years after learning from Joe Bianco, a former writer for the Oregonian. Joe taught me the option of using anchovies. I have perfected this recipe such that I dissolve the anchovies (an entire can with the oil) in the olive oil when I’m cooking the garlic. Then the pasta water and then the pasta and then the pecorino and then the parsley. When I present this dish I always announce it as, “Spaghetti con aglio e olio di oliva con le acciughe.”
I was raised with nice slices of garlic and even us 4 kids LOVED it. We would pick it up to enjoy the taste alone. I never see that anyone. Mom also left large chunks of basil, oregano and even in the salads the tomatoes were large! That's how we loved it. No tiny pieces, just good big flavors like you seem to do in your recipes ❤ I really enjoy learning or relearning by watching you 😊

Of coure...you should put little bit of water from pasta just when you put pasta outside where is garlic. This lady is so far from italian cooking! And also she put so much garlic, also che put inside the pasta cheese while is still cooked this is sooo wrong! This recepty is so simple no cheese no persile ( you can add just little bit peperoncino in pasta with garlic) then when all os finish you can put on the top just a little bit of cheese and persil and pepperoncino if ypu like if you don't like then dont put it...and pasta is ready for eating.Sje don't know nothing about italian food!

I'd never seen adding pasta water to the sauce and then adding the pasta to the sauce to cook a little more. I just tried it and it's much better than the drained pasta on a plate with sauce poured on top. Thanks for the cooking lesson. I'll be doing it the traditional way from here on out.
Jamie Oliver all his pasta recipe is similar the secret is no washing of the pasta and the pasta sauce is from the water you boil your pasta with the water is starchy that gives more flavour using it as a sauce.

I enjoy watching simple recipes. My grandmother cooked for a living and she started teaching my siblings and I how to cook when we were in elementary school in the 1960s. I also learned things from the cooks I knew in the Army and from Korean eateries on both tours. My wife likes it when I boot her out of the kitchen and there are some things she won't eat unless I cook it. Sometimes she'll even ask me to cook something particular.
There's million vids on making pasta with garlic n oil and this one is the absolute best n perfect way. Been doing it this way my whole life. Learned from my grandparents. And you were so right about the oil in the water. Never ever do that. All the starch from the salt won't stick to the pasta if u add oil to water. Love ❤️ this video and you.

I enjoy watching simple recipes. My grandmother cooked for a living and she started teaching my siblings and I how to cook when we were in elementary school in the 1960s. I also learned things from the cooks I knew in the Army and from Korean eateries on both tours. My wife likes it when I boot her out of the kitchen and there are some things she won't eat unless I cook it. Sometimes she'll even ask me to cook something particular.

There's million vids on making pasta with garlic n oil and this one is the absolute best n perfect way. Been doing it this way my whole life. Learned from my grandparents. And you were so right about the oil in the water. Never ever do that. All the starch from the salt won't stick to the pasta if u add oil to water. Love ❤️ this video and you.
