  • As god gave me a voice, I have to use it to raise awareness an educate the people in any shape or form.
Racism in the Arab Muslim World is a vast and deep topic, which requires several parts to just scratch the surface, however we have to start the conversation rolling, whether it makes people uncomfortable or not.
In this video I point out few elements and give my insight in this regard and HOPE at some point in life, people will acknowledge their mistakes and errors in their behavior towards people of color. or any Human who's outside their race, social standard or even Family Circle.
    May Allah guide us all...

Being Arab is not just about the continent, it's about your ethnicity. Sudanese are Africans but they are still arabs. African is just a continent not an ethnicity.

@the great han un han the great han un han nope, I would never call a chinese person speaking Arabic as an Arab but I would call an ethnic group or tribe speaking Arabic as Arab. North African countries such as Egypt, Libya, Sudan, Algeria do have arab tribes that originally came from Arabian gulf and settled in North Africa during the Arab conquests.

@the great han un han the great han un han I grew up in a Maghrebi area. 9/10 of my Maghrebi friends didn't only consider themselves Arabs but could trace their Arab roots more than my friends in the Middle East. I know Morroccans who of pure Hejazi descent. The ones who didn't identify as Arabs spoke Amazigh at home, but they were the minority. Other than the fact that being Arab is a cultural socio linguistic identity which makes you Arab, many North African Arabs descend from the Bani Hassan, Banu Hilal and Banu Sulaym tribes out of Yemen and North Arabia. Lastly if you're Muslim you should know that the Prophet Mohammed (S) said. "The one who speaks Arabic as a mother tounge is an Arab". So it his whole North Africans aren't Arab is getting pretty tired. You can't change facts.

Jahaliah is a state of mind, not a period of time. Just because you were born and raised in a Muslim society doesn't mean that Islam and its teachings are in your heart and mind. Most people wear their religion like a coat. They put it on in public by following traditions etc, but underneath, they're wearing dirty rags.

Sister, You used the terms “Arab World” and “Muslim World” interchangeably as if they are the same thing. They are not the same. The Middle East and North Africa are apart of the Muslim World (20% population of Muslims). We understand the embarrassment and let down this segment of the ummah has caused us in front of the rest of mankind. Although the Arab world has forced their way to be the forefront faces for the Muslim world, besides the Sahabah and the first 3 generations after them, the Muslim World has passed the Arab world by. Most of our great Muhadith, Fuqahah and Qadhis of the past and present are not even Arab. May Allah guide all the Ummah and protect us from ‘’ansariyah” (racism), Ameen. Alhamdulillah, the beauty of Allah’s Deen is that it is not dependent on any one group of people. The Arabs may not realize it, but they have been outnumbered and replaced with other Muslims that fear Allah.

I'm Black British 🇬🇧 born and bred. My skin is dark. I have had discrimination from Black, White, Indian and people of mixed parentage ie Black and White. It is their stupidity and ignorance. I refuse to let their hate about my dark shade ruin my life. Examples: I ended a friendship with a female Black African friend who saw fit to put down my skin colour at every opportunity especially in front of Whites just because she was a few shades lighter than myself. This person who had experienced a lot of racism living in France had become the abuser. How dreadfully sad for her.
A mixed race friend of my housemate whenever she came to the house, refused to acknowledge me whenever I opened the door to her. I did not exist in her eyes. One day I opened the door and walked away without acknowledging her. She was so shocked. I continued to do it to her whenever she came to the house.
At a Polytechnic University in Cambridge back in the 1980's the White students refused to sit next to me, speak to me, share text books with me and if I touched them they would react as if they were scalded, scared expecting my colour to rub off on them. I was not befriended by them, not invited to parties or to any social gatherings. If one of them tried speaking to me another would say something to them and discourage them.
I've had Indians ignore me acting like they were better than me. I once sat in a taxi with a few girls on way to a club back in 2000. The light skinned Indian girl refused to speak to me, even when she was introduced to me. She did not look at or speak to me. After a few hrs at the club when I was leaving everyone was standing around in a group. I made a point of saying goodbye to everyone but her. She was so shocked at not being acknowledged by me and did not know what to do.
So when people are stupid enough to be racist and yes I do know when someone is being racist. I've had 50 years of it I ignore the hell out of them, I refuse to see them, I do what they do. I stop any friendship or contact with that person. I refuse to let them infect me with their poison. I grew up overseas with my grandmother from age 5 to 10. Hate was never preached about in our house. In my DNA there is Black, White, Indian, Chinese ancestry. To hate the skin colour and shade of others, apart from it being morally wrong, would be foolish as I would only be hating myself. Duh! To all the haters of my skin and my shade of Black which is on the dark side I love me and am content with my shade. You can't make me self hate.
I have not spoken about discrimination from Chinese as have not had enough contact with them.

There are two things happening, one is Racism (difference in ethnicity or race) and another is Colourism, which can include people of the same ethnicity or race discriminating against one another due to difference in skin colour.
Either way I wish more people were more aware and see it as how you are seeing it. Truth is we are only in the skin we are in for a limited time on earth, this is a reality regardless of if someone is religious or not.
Looking more spiritually at it, in the end, the form of the soul, there is no skin nor skin colour. Everyone has it within now already as it's our true essence. People need to stop concentrating on the surface details and look a deeper into themselves.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was not racist or a bigot and racism and bigotry is not allowed in Islam. It is true many Arab that I have met are racist. They claim to be following the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, not realizing what they are saying in their behavior is that the Prophet was a racist and bigot. And that there is another god beside Allah that created the other people. Allah forgive us. When they make such statements they are saying they don’t like the creations of Allah. They pray 5 time a day. The question is those that are racist who are they praying to but Satan? They don’t realize this is one of the reason why many Muslims are suffering around the world. They hate the creation of Allah. Many that may read this is not going like what is written here or what you are saying. They will say this is not true. Knowing it is very true, it’s so true that it is sickening. As long as we or they try to hide this evil among us it will continue. What you are saying is the truth. These people have a mental sickness. They don’t truly believe in Allah and they are not following of the Prophet (PBUH). Their behavior is a lie. They should read Surah 3:103. And study it. And also a true believer is one who wants for brother and sister what they want for themselves. Base on this saying many of them are not true believers. They are the true color people because they are people of color minds. Taqwa they do not understand what it means. Taqwa should be the ultimate result of all forms of worship. The Quran says: “People! Worship your Rabb Who created you and those before you, so that you may guard against evil..2:21. A person with Taqwa is said to have a superior state of heart which keeps the person aware of Allah’s presence and His Knowledge all the times and induces him or to carry out honorable deeds and avoid the forbidden ones. Racism is forbidden in the religion of Islam.

I’m not even gonna lie, this happens in the Pakistani community, darker Pakistanis are treated like lower class citizen, I’m quite pale for a Pakistani and it’s seen as better and a lot of Pakistanis use skin bleaching to make themselves have lighter skin

    • @htastemaster7188

That racism is wrong. The darker Pakistanis often are originally from India and migrated to Karachi and are called Muhajirs. Native Pakistani people look down on them because they consider these dark skinned people more like Indians and like Hindus but they forget that all Muslims were converts at some point. Some Pakistanis also look down on Arabs as being backward and unattractive compared to native Pakistanis like Pashtuns but this is also racist.

@@muslimridealong1975 There is some racism among Pakistanis whether we want to acknowledge it or not. It's probably less than other nationalities but it is still there. I know some people in my family think less of those Pakistanis who migrated from India (Muhajirs) since they are more Indian in appearance and culture as opposed to people whose families are from the land like Kashmiris or Punjabi or Pashtun. Also Pakistanis think of Arabs as backward and "jaahil" or think of Afghans as lazy and and on welfare or Iranians as conniving and untrustworthy because they are ashamed of being Iranian and abandon their faith. The list goes on and on. So let's not wash away our own racism. How many Pakistani parents would allow their children to marry someone who is not of Pakistani background? Be honest with yourself, if you brought home someone who was Arab or Iranian or Somali would your family be fine with it - of course they should be ok with it because we are all God's creatures but in reality would they be pleased ? Yes Pakistanis did not engage in the slave trade like Arabs or Turks but we didn't treat the "short, dark, Indian looking Bangalis" very well did we ?

I never thought being pakistani looking was a negative, your brother must be good looking then. Funny thing is as a pakistani, I thought arabs were more darker complexion or a different facial structure which is beautiful as they are genetically closer to African, some are fair but are clearly do not look european due to facial structure and skin thickness.
As pakistani we range from indian looking to blond and blue eyed, as we are indo european.
I think racism is going to be in more cultural people rather then religious. Because culture has tendency toward tribalism and even racism. Even blacks can be racist. I personally experienced it a couple of times.
When I was a little girl, my black friend who was my neighbour as well, had one day when I saw her with her cousins, I said hey, then suddenly she slapped my face to my shock, just because she did not want to show she was befriending a uncool race. Another time, a jamican black 6ft man threatened to beat me up on the bus, just for brushing pass him in a overcrowded london bus, I had apologised but he continued to threaten to bust my face. Another time, my younger sister had a proposal from a black muslim guy who had african muslim nigerian mother, who did not like us from the time she entered our house, she just had a look of contempt as she entered, no smiles or softeness or warmth in anyway. She just kept looking at our house like it was not up to scratch and turned her noise up at us. He later turned down my sister unfortunately, it was not a surprise.
I experience racism from whites, from indians (they just troll) and bengalis (they get me fired from jobs) and chinese (refusing to let me purchase a chinese pear because I am not chinese) etc. I seen blacks be racist towards there own blacks, they put darker complexion blacks down.
But I think white racism is at another level, its more genocidal level, holocust, kkk hanging blacks, srebroniza, to south african aparthied.
More islamically practice and kniwledgeable a person gets, the more you shed that tribalism and racism in my experience.
Strangely enough pakistanis are less racist then indians and allot of cultures. The worst of us are more likely to be scared of another race out of it be different then because we think we are better, pakistanis are very critical of pakistanis, we cuss ourselves rather then cuss other races. I heard black vloggers visiting pakistan, say they felt the warmth of pakistani hospitality. At least there is some good there.

First, high five for creating this incredible video!! You're amazing, beautiful, loving and caring.🎉😊 I'm an African American male and I can clearly relate to what you're saying. The people who you mentioned , they failed to see the importance of melanin which makes the skin darker.
The more darker the person the more Melanin they have. Melanin is the pigment responsible for skin, hair, and eye color, plays a crucial role in our bodies. Beyond its aesthetic impact, melanin provides a range of scientific benefits. Scientifically, melanin acts as a natural sunscreen, protecting the skin from harmful UV radiation. This ability not only prevents sunburn but also reduces the risk of skin cancer.
Moreover, melanin contributes to the efficient functioning of the nervous system. It is present in the eyes, where it absorbs excess light and enhances vision by reducing glare. Additionally, melanin is found in the inner ear, aiding in the protection and function of auditory receptors.
Beyond these physiological advantages, embracing the diversity of melanin levels in different individuals promotes a richer gene pool and enhances the adaptability of human populations to various environments. Recognizing the scientific significance of melanin helps dispel stereotypes and fosters a deeper appreciation for the beauty of diversity.
Let's celebrate the incredible tapestry of human melanin and the myriad ways it contributes to our health and well-being!
And if someone who is racist happens to read this, perhaps they will see the beauty in melanin skin, 😊

Very nicely put forward video, and addressing the issues of colorism (racism) where it is mostly missed.
West Europeans think they are better than East Europeans
East Europeans think think they are better than Turks
Turks think they are better than Arabs
Arabs think they are better than Pakistanis
Pakistanis think they are better than Bangladeshis
Bangladeshis think they are better than Sudanese
Sudanese think they are better than Somalis
Somalis think they are better than West Africans
West Africans with a fairer skin think they are better than the ones with a darker skin
There is a trickle down of not just skin color but also to an extent the financial capacity, social stability and political power of each (though not always)
    - so the idea of being more white, makes you more accepted in the world
    - this idea comes from humans subconsciously forming patterns in their mind which breeds colorism (or racism)
Any pattern is not inherent it is learnt with time and depends on how different societies function.
Blacks in the west are now more accepted than before as they are now perceived as being more athletic (Blacks dominating most sports)
Indians are more accepted in many former USSR nations as they are perceived as being more emotional (emotional Bollywood movies which were popular in the USSR once)
East Asians are more accepted in different parts of the world (craze of K-pop)
So there is hope that things may change in the future as the global population gets closer with internet, easy travelling, media and technology, we just need to steer in the right direction.

Let us Muslims be careful not to adopt the way of this world, such as racism, which is an invention of Shaytan. Be careful to be on guard of the whispers of Shaytan, "who whispers into the hearts of humankind-".
"O ye who believe! follow not Satan's footsteps: if any will follow the footsteps of Satan, he will (but) command what is shameful and wrong: and were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah (SWT) on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah (SWT) doth purify whom He pleases: and Allah (SWT) is One Who hears and knows (all things)." Holy Quran 24:21.
So, If you say you believe in Allah (SWT) and you practice racism or any discrimination, even in the heart, you are committing sin. Ask Allah (SWT) for forgiveness and strive to never be racist again. May Allah (SWT) bless the believers to be successful in this world and the next.

There is no racism ☝️🕋 in ISLAM
Chapter 49, verse 13 of Islam’s sacred scripture, the Quran, declares: “O humankind! We have made you…into nations and tribes, so that you may get to know one another. The noblest of you in God’s sight is the one who is most righteous.”

*When examining Arabs. We have to understand the religious dichotomy. Christian v Bedouin v Magians v Sabians v Shia v Sunni v Alavite only then we can see through the lens with clarity. Algerians and Tunisians have intense sense of complexionism . Colourism is not the same as racism.*

I don't know if empathy is something that can be taught to humans or is something that you either have or have not, but I think it's the root of all that.
Ignorance paired with lack of empathy doesn't encourage people to learn about others and therefore stay ignorant.
It may start from a very young age, where kids learn empathy from what they see from their parents, if so we have a responsibility in the education of our kids, cause by encouraging lack of empathy we create and preserve those destructive patterns throughout history

Every human being is the creation of the Most High Yahawah and no hatred should be directed towards anyone because of their race. But the Most High Yahawah have separated the black race from among the family of all the human race to be special to him for specific, holy rituals. And the rest of the kindred or human family will be to serve the Most High Yahawah in different ways for they are also his creation. This is the holy order and devine role Black Israel have over other race but their calling and requirements shouldn't enable Black Israel to mistreat non-black people (I think that it's best to publish this knowledge). But I thank you brave lady to speak your truth according to your personal experience which is a clear reflection of the reality of the Arab world today. ❤❤😎💯💪🏾👍🏾

The Prophets skin color was not white as we understand white in our age. He was wheatish brown skin color, like Yemenis. This brown color was called white in the days of sahaba. White was known as yellow, and Arabs referred to Romans as yellow people.

I think that saying “racism in MUSLIM world” is wrong. It’s not a MUSLIM thing but an ARAB thing. Islam doesn’t teach us racism. I think you used the word “Muslim” just to make sure as many people as possible watch it because of so much hate towards Muslims. But its how i understand it. If I’m right then this is wrong

People shouldn't make so much about the color of ppls skin. She's actually not very white and you could tell she's not of European decent but who cares she is pretty seems kind and bright. People need to live mix and move on. The constant emphasizing on skin color will perpetuate the problem.

Sister a lot of what you said is true but you also made the mistake of generalizing against Arabs of the middle east and the Gulf. I myself am north African Arab, and have lived in north Africa and currently living in Saudi Arabia. The Arab Muslims specifically (as not all Arabs are Muslim), whether in north Africa or in the Gulf or other Arab countries are not all racist, many of them are good kind hearted people. The more learned (in Islam) and practicing the Muslim is, whether Arab or non-Arab, the less racist they are. Racism is due to ignorant, wrong upbringing and/or weak iman/faith. Islam is perfect but Muslims are not. You will find different Muslims committing different kinds of sins, some drink, some swear a lot, some gossip/backbite, some are racist..etc, that is why giving advice, condemning/forbidding evil and enjoining good, is a major and important part of Islam. We as Muslims always need to be reminded of what we should and should not be doing, what is right and what is wrong.

But Allah is all-knowing, All Wise." lets noted that every group God warns and mentions The Romans, The Jews and The Arabs etc he knew they would be the future issue to man kind! (There are many verses warning us about theses people and why Allah used them as a root of Abrahamic religions
