  • We had the Surefire XSC, super high retail price, proprietary battery, with decent styling and design. Then we get the long awaited TLR7 Sub! once you watch this review and the Surefire XSC review. You will pronbably ask yourself the same question I did. can surefire keep up with the ever evolving weaponlight market?

"Low Lumens" funny about how these days 500 lumens is "low" I remember as a wee junior Jarhead grunt, we all where dazzled by the blinding Surefires with 60 lumens that all the cool Recon Marines had. I wouldn't even bother with the Surefire XSC, to high or a price for the output and proprietary batteries.

I put this on my 1911 and it increased it's stopping power by 69%

If only S&W made the new Shield Plus with a rail. That with a 507k and a TLR7 would be 👌👌👌

I too was surprised to see the Shield plus launch without a rail. They may be taking a page from Glock’s play book. And hit us with a railed version at shot show

@@rdrgear My thoughts as well. Had too many friends who bought the G48, only to sell it when the 48MOS came out. I'm torn between a 365xl and the prospect of a Shield Plus with a rail.

p365XL or p365x with an icarus ace metal frame and magguts spring 14+1 flush mags, holosun 507k, tlr7 sub / olight mini valkyrie 2 = best micro carry gun hands down
if you just prefer glocks, a 48 decked out is right up there
c2 duo or an atlas / infinity 2011 carry
      end of convo?

For me it comes down to the slimline version. It’s much more comfortable than the 19 and much easier to conceal with my tactical love handles. That being said I still think the 19 is a softer shooter.

Does tightening all the way to the right (clockwise) lock yours out? I have to back mine off (counterclockwise) 1/2 a turn for mine to work.

    • @rdrgear

I have had no issues with tightening.

Great Light but it's kind of sucks that I have to buy an extra key to make it fit on my glock 43x with the Recover rail.

Inforce came out with the new Wild2 for double stack pistols. And i am hoping will come out with Wild1 the end of November this year. And i am very much hoping and wishing, for them to introduce a light for a single stack pistol that is a tad shorter and will compete with the streamlight tlr-7sub. And then streamlight will come out with tlr-7a sub (2nd gen) shorter close to flush to a G43x Mos pistol.

I will never understand how people get behind such a poor performing product like the Infocre. It’s been garbage since day one. I just don’t get it.

@@rdrgear I use streamlights and Inforce and I kind of like the new aluminum body on the inforce, I feel like they are making progress, I haven't had any issues with their Wild2 so far. But, I know they will improve. Now, the surefire lights especially with the single stack light they came out with and their price, that I can not get behind. Love your vids.

Bought the surefire xsc. Only had it a week before returning it. Light costs around 300 for a battery that doesn't stay charged. Kept it in the safe for 3 days after charging went back to it and it was dead. On top of that light isn't that bright. I wouldn't recommend it.

The glock 19 vs 48 debate is similar to the best oil debate.

I have a G45 and a G43X. I shoot the 43X far more accurately. The reason, for me anyway, is the slim grip. I have stubby fingers and the 43X is far easier to control. To the point of me considering selling or trading the G45 for a G48MOS. But, having a G17/19/19X/45 is like owning the de facto standard sidearm of the free world. And you should have one of those in your safe.
