That holster can definitely work. Kydex can be reformed. There’s nothing wrong with taking a heat gun to polymers. Place firearm in a ziplock bag or something that will protect it, Loosen set screws on holster, Mildly heat holster, Insert Weapons with new light, Press down on both sides to create a positive mold, then consistently insert and draw the weapon from the holster. Once the holster cools down, re-tighten tension screws. And you’ve Successfully remolded your holster. Sometimes the skin even be used to make holsters work for different firearms
why sig didn't just go with a pic rail for the 365 series, I'll never know... the least they could do is offer x-macro modules in 365 and 365xl barrel and grip lengths.
Fyi: the tlr8 sub (IPX4) is not waterproof and the tlr7 sub is waterproof (IPX7). For me, this made me want to stick with the tlr 7 sub. (I just like the added durability)
This is one of the MOST important aspects not being mentioned between the TLR 7 sub and the 8 sub. I was going to go with the 8 Sub, till reading THIS. Good point out!
I went with this and the Tactical Development Pro Ledge and loved it until I had an issue with the original holster. I need to replace it and am striking out as the original holster maker is on hiatus, and no other holster makers have a TLR-8 sub option with the Tactical Development Pro Ledge. I am debating switching to the TLR7 Sub or TLR-7X ultra compact.
I appreciate the video. I liked the overall presentation of information. I have the TLR7 sub and the clamp will not keep the light on a P365 macro unless you use the 1913a. It will fall off halfway through a box no matter how hard you tighten it down with a nickel or screwdriver. (Nickel fits best). I’d like to see an update to this after you’ve field tested it. Thank you and sorry for the negative comment.
@@OuterLimitless2 I'm on the fence as it seems 50% says it does 50% says it doesn't. I even read that the light isn't really bright outside, and is more beneficial for indoors.
Nice video, but you adjust your laser to your iron sights NOT THE LAMP! The laser is just a pointer (not a sight), but that point action is on or referenced to your BARREL.
I don't quite follow your logic. I treat my iron sights and the laser as two independent aiming systems. I use a bore laser to zero my weapon laser... Therefore aligning my weapon laser precisely with the bore. Seems quite simple and straight forward to me...
I started out with a light/laser combo and learned quickly that the lasers are simply an annoyance. At the range they distract everyone shooting outside your lane…and amplify the amounts of caffeine running through you at that moment. You might even send someone, if not yourself, into seizures from the shaking of it downrange. I was a staunch iron sights old man….and for that reason alone the visible laser is awesome (when zero’d) but, unless flailing and flipping around on the ground or at a hip shooting contest pretty much useless. Now, I’ve grown to like my red dots and holographic’s more and more. My edc is a g43x mos, Holosun epc carry mrs (multi-reticle) in red. I also added a tlr-7 sub to light my world up. With some fancy file work on the slide’s “mos” setup and I got the Holosun to direct mount to my slide, making it able to be cowitnessed with the oem iron’s! Now, I’m looking into the shield arms gen 3 magazines as they hold 15 flush. I will have to add the metal mag release and just store away my plastic mags and they don’t play well together. I can add a +5 to the shield mags for 20+1 in a 43x!!! Just hoping for perfection in reliability. I also see that palmetto state has some hybrid mags for it that hold 15 flush also! Being a newer size platform betweeen the hellcats, 43/48’s and the sig’s… I think we will see more and more tech swing over to our size. I’m just hunting for reliable capacity. I wish for the sa15’s to be just as reliable as the oems
If you're using a light indoors, you won't be able to see the laser or the red dot, since both will be "washed out" by the bright light. I personally see no issue with having a laser with a light, but not solely a laser. Not sure why you specifically mention 95, pistols having a rail was very rare then, unless the pistol was an H&K USP it probably didn't have a rail until about 98 or 99. Lasermax was around then in 95, but hardly anyone even knew that company existed until Lethal Weapon 4 had one of their guide rod lasers in the movie.
Muscle memory is a thing my dude. It's the memory that your brain stores for your muscles. Meaning the more training of said muscles the easier the action is due to the memory your brain has stored of said muscles. Thus it being called... Muscle Memory.
Nice info thanks for the upload! I definitely thought my laptops fan or hard drive had broke when the music kicked in at 2:00. Had to pause the video
Another option for a holster for tlr7-sub is made my Henry holsters.
The Ember is a light-bearing holster built for the Streamlight TLR-7 Sub light
Thanks for this video. I wanted to do the same thing. You saved me the pain of finding out the same thing.
Thank you. I have an Sig XL Spectra & had questions about what light I could use on its proprietary rail.

I was regretting my purchase up until I saw this comment, thanks!
You can run just light just laser or both read directions you will see
Thats what I was thinking when he said they couldnt run separately- like what???
How do you run just the laser?
Nice presentation. A local shop had the TLR8s on sale at a nice discount. Seems it's not ideal for my P365 SAS
Heatguns can often remedy these issues...
Of coarse not always.
Take your time and "sneak up ' on the heating/fitting process !
I was thinking about that...it would be worth it if I can pull it off. It was pretty close to begin with. Maybe I will try!
Yep! A heat gun helped in several situations that allowed me to use the same holster. Who knows?

Can't having 2 lasers be confusing?
Any update on holster that accommodate tlr 8? Thanks!
Look into craft leather holsters
@@OuterLimitless2 thank you
try 4- brother holsters
What grip is that? Can u run just the laser no light
But do they strobe?
do you know if this will fit on a glock 43x?
Has anyone been able to find a holster for the sig 365 micro/ tilr 8g sub?
Yes! Craft Holsters has an amazing selection

Seems to from what I can tell

What is the red laser you used to center the light?
I have the 9mm laser cartridge from strikeman. There are other options but this works well for me and can be used for dry fire training
What holsters can I use with this on a sig p365 sas ?
I am not that familiar with the SAS, but I would be surprised if it's not the standard P365 holsters...
The Green Laser mine is 1000 Lumens
Dude get longer screws for the holster you should be fine
There a holster company call four brothers that makes a holster for the P365 with the TLR8 sub
Oooh... Thank you and I'll check it out!
Thank you. I dreaded trying to find a holster. You saved me a lot of effort and I appreciate it.
Also Henry holsters "ember"
Not with the Cases because th3 TLR-8 Sub G is just a little bigger so it will absolutely not fit into a Holster with the TLR-7 Sub
Heat it up with a heat gun and remold it over laser. Should work.

Honestly don’t even need a metal mag catch for the shield arms mags, I have thousands of rounds through a 43x stock mag catch with shield arms
will this tlr 8 sub fit the p365 x marco
X macro has the standard 1913 pic rail. So you'll need the 1913 version. Do NOT get the SIG mount. You need 1913 as long as you have a pic rail
Bust out the heat gun and heat that area
I have thought about it. It would be a nice finishing touch for this setup.
