Great video - Thanks! I've got a Curado BFS on the way and can't wait to try it out. Gonna go after panfish in a local pond. Those barbless single hook lures look to be pretty challenging to use
Would you say the .3-3g rod is realistic for the medium sized pike biting once in a while or is the 2-8g better for that? Where i fish there are pike everywhere.
yeah a heavier rod is recommended for pike. although it is a nice fight if you're fishing open water with no structure or anything to get the fish stuck in.
Mate new sub here and had a slx bfs coming in the mail, just wondering what lbs test mono and brand your using and also what rod your matching it too?? TIA greeting from Australia 🇦🇺
The line I used was Stern monofilament 4lb but I tend to use 3lb line normally made by RUNCL, however it has been discontinued. The rod is a Kuying Teton TTC super ultralight 5'10''.
@@M.Redsky thats what weight I would throw for the reel. But the 8 foot rod you want to cast it might be too long and the whole rig might feel off balance.
@@edifuss We all use braid because you can cast longer with a thinner line and you get almost double strength from braid in terms of thickness, making the line lighter and way more malleable. It is way more expensive but it is worth it IMO. Using a Mono leader achieves the same stretch.
I know all of that. I'm european too and probabily the only one guy here still going with the monofile. Well.. I like it even more so.. I believe it is the thrill, ..it gets me. Petri Heil! (angler's greeting).

no
max 7grams
@@sunnysfishingadventures3108 what's max is 7g?

@@sunnysfishingadventures3108 I disagree. This reel would work well on a rod that casts as high as 15grams. Not as long as 8ft though
What line 10lb?
4lb
4lb
Try fishing down stream because bait fish swin away from predators not towards them
I do that sometimes but when its clear water I tend to fish upstream because I don't want to have the fish see me approaching them.
why tf is all americans using fucking mono or flouro main line? you should use braid, always. you can use mono or flouro as leader.
I like mono cuz it's cheap and gives some stretch when fight fish with small hooks
In Europe is everything about braid.. 🫢
They kinda all fall for advertising.. I guess
Have a good one!
