- A month ago I was lucky enough to play around with the new Sony Alpha 7S III and take it to some beautiful locations to see what it was capable of. I have to say as a Sony user coming from using the A7 III, i'm in love with the cameras colours In 10 Bit 4:2:2 and 4k quality at 120fps, Something i have been waiting for, for a long time, and probably you too!

This "travel video" could have easily been made in 1 or 2 days if the shoot was planned well enough. I'm sure it only took him a couple days max to shoot this.

@@DennisSchmitz little bit too much but some of the scenes were great.. over all.. this video didnt show me anything but the low light that i saw it looks cool.. i think gh5, a7iii , a7sii, canons you can do as great video.. yes the camera is good but i think also that the colours in this video is weird??

I watch over and over again this amazing cinematic, I think it is the dream of every filmmaker, it is the maximum ceiling where we can reach with a camera without using drones, incredible, absolutely everything is incredible in this fantastic film!

This is astonishing, love the color grade as well!
Really difficult to comment on this about colour. The orange tinge cast everywhere makes any colour judgement irrelevant: any camera's footage with that LUT applied would look exactly the same.
The grading is indeed very cringe. But you are still able to appreciate a better dynamic range than with previous Alpha cameras, which is what matters.
No not all camera's footage would look the same. There are so many other variables involved in getting this good and clean of colors from your footage. So many other camera's footage would fall apart if you tried to edit it the same.

True to a point -- a great shooter on a camera with beautiful color and contrast rendering will always have a more pleasing film than a cheap DSLR that lacks dynamic range and renders colors/contrast more harshly. I personally can't stand the typical DSLR/mirrorless look versus cinema cams, but this footage looks great here. Sony has done a great job with this camera.
Thats true but when it comes to night shots or low light, you need a good Boss low light camera.
Yes! No NEED to get the new A7SIII. Use what you have! Improve your skills in your story telling, your compositions, just be out there and not worry about too much on new gears. Watch these guys as your inspiration to make your film.

Amazing! What lenses did you use?
Good question Fresh Pepper am one of many of us who is also curious! Ben if you could get back to me and let us know what lens you used that would be great dude! If am hazarding a guess I'd say Ben used a Zeiss Batis 40mm f/2cf aperture lens although it's just a rough guess on my part although I hope am proved wrong. A good 4k camera is only as good as the lense that is used for each shot with all things considered such as lighting, aperture, iso etc touch wood! Nevertheless the Sony A7sIII performs exceedingly well in low lighting conditions which makes the A6500 and the A7III still a very worthy backup for the cinemaphotographer's toolkit respectfully especially combined with the performance in recording video at high iso in low lighting shots at 4k!! May I say awesome work Ben, you've superbly caught the right moments and perfect camera angles, you've really pushed the boundaries of what this little sucker is actually capable of, am very impressed dude!

quite good! there is an intelligent active stabilisation mode that crops slightly for extra stability which helps

49 + 49 = 98 + 1 =99... Where the fuq is 1% missing
