Children grow up, move out, & move on. It’s best to highly prioritize your spouse.
Ask God to help you balance family life in each season.🥰

Glad to see this comment just because a couple encounters difficulties that they must navigate doesn’t automatically equal struggle love. I had postpartum issues with my son, something totally out of my control that we couldn’t have foreseen. Which cause a huge financial hurdle with the lose of my income and the expenses of a newborn ( formula and diapers- I was unable to breastfeed) About a year later I was able to go back work, and worked 2 jobs to help dig us out of debt…we were/are a team that had to navigate a difficult time.

❤I am so happy that these gentlemen realized their jobs were killing their spirits and their marriages! As people of African descent, we must redefine what success looks like for US! We live in a Western, consumeristic, capitalistic, competitive nation. These values will never bring us peace and happiness. We were not put on this earth to make money to become super consumers. Love, peace, family, relationships, and purpose that ultimately makes the community at large stronger, is what our ancestors valued. The 42 Principles of Maa’t! NOT the 48 Laws of Power! LOVE!❤❤❤

As a single person who looks to be married one day, it seems like understanding when and how to love somebody who will eventually change is key to longevity.

True friendship with your husband or wife etc… is a beautiful thing when nothing is off the table. You’ll can be yourself. It’s a lot of people that feel trapped in their marriage. I have a friend that speaks badly about her husband & I say to myself how can you lay down with someone that you have no respect for. That’s something I would love to ask.

@@cpc439 Absolutely! It's definitely changed me as a person and I know my husband struggles to get used to who I am now as I'm still changing and learning to work through my grief while trying to maintain a relationship with my child and be a "good" wife.

Is it me or is everyone having a hard time expressing their emotions and also feel like the wives don't know how to communicate or appreciate their husbands as you should. It's just the way things are being said. Especially in the beginning. Sometimes we take our spouse of our youth for granted. Love that Kev, loving and learning your spouse in every stage.
