I love to flirt with my husband. When he says do you want to eat somewhere, I say are you asking me out on a date? He smiles and says of course. Married 24 years. Just one example but the point is it takes both parties to get what you want out of marriage. 💍
"Your children are birthed through you not to you." That really spoke to me; I've had many questions lately about idolizing my children; that segment helped a lot.
@D Banner Heaven will be on earth when Jesus returns. John 3:13 ( no man has seen heaven) Children are a blessing on earth, they definitely teach us love and humility.
These relationship conversations are Melissa’s Zone of Genius !! This is were you excel & We love to see it!! Side note: the audio/microphones needs adjustment, the volume has to be on high to hear specially the Kirk & Tami episode.
I can hear just fine. I just notice certain individuals talk low in general. I noticed that with Cam (Lauren and Cam). But that's just how he talks. Everyone else sounded fine. I just think they have to ask certain people to speak up.
I’m the youngest & I remember my parents complaining about my older siblings never calling when they went off to college so when I went I called them 5-7 times a week legit all 4 years 😅😅
😂🤣😂🤣😂Ooooweee I hollered about them ‘Illegal House Prayers’ 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. Waaaaaaaaaaaayyy too relatable 😅😅! Warren: “My 17th birthday turned into an illegal house prayer”. 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 But on a serious note! 😮 Those House House prayers 🙏🏾 tho 😅! **clears throat - for an off key rendition of “Thank you Lord For all you’ve done for me”😅**
Gurl. I just starting watching these and Melissa you are absolutely called to this work. I have been wanting some uncut, real life conversations about marriage because NOBODY tells you what’s real, no one is transparent and vulnerable, everybody claiming to be out here living their best life 😂 Thank you for this platform which brings about transparency in a loving and thoughtful manner. This is more than a book, the podcast needs to keep going and then after that, we need the MBH annual retreat/conferences, and then after that we need the docu-series which can be a follow up to Black Love and then we need the scripted series and movie. There I said it!! This stuff is good, I’m telling you. I’ve been Married 8 years, got three kids and am in my early 40s and ain’t nothing but truth coming through those podcast mics. It’s blessing my soul with every episode. Keep pushing and giving us this content, the culture neeeeeeeeeeeds it!
Will be married 10 yrs this year and wish we had married friends that we could have these type of fun convos with…. Or married friends period. 😢 Loved this episode! The stories are hilarious 😂
Alex H…Wow! I can relate to your statement 💯!!! It’s hard for us to find happy married couples that we can connect with & share adult conversations. I hope you guys can find that married couple or couples that you can connect with.
These conversations are everything!!! They are about relationships of all kinds be hard. I love it. I'm getting my copy of the book and marriage has never even appealed to me.
We'll be married 6 years this Saturday and I laughed soo hard because I related and enjoyed this conversation soo much! I already love Erica and Warryn, but getting to know Melissa was a pleasure and I'll be back!
The past 2 days I've been going back and forth between the audio book(currently on chapter 9) and these episodes...Love Love Love it all cause chile "Marriage Be Hard" Bless yall for this platform!!❤
How in THE world have I missed five months of this wonderful, hilariously funny, candid, authentic work!??? Well, I tell you what....I ain't missing nothing elsee!! I love it! Love it! L-O-V-E Ittttt!!!!
At first I was sad watching this like “I wish I would have found my spouse years in HS.” But then I realized it doesn’t matter the journey you take whether by yourself or with another person because the underlining theme was ‘finding yourself’. You can do that with someone or without. So that shed some good insight or what those relationships are like. Great conversation you guys!
LOOOOOOVVVEE Erica's perspective on college being essential for the growth and development of our children (even when we know they're going to pursue fields in entertainment, ministry, etc. where they don't necessarily need college or that academic experience)!!
Love love love these segments!! Just made one year of marriage this year and hearing this wisdom from legends is so refreshing that we’re on the right track!
These conversations are Golden. Erica was speaking to me in so many areas!!! Thank you @MrsKevonStage and @KevonStage for having these conversations. They are really appreciated. ❤
46:34 ooof I love this!! These conversations are sooo helpful and listening to ppl that share the same faith but aren’t stiff about it, aww man ya don’t understand how refreshing this is💕 in Jesus name we’re welcoming our first one in May 🙏🏽🙏🏽💕keep us in prayers pls
We had a videogames issue too in our 1-2yr in. I was prego with our first born and tired from work and hes playing games with 3 other guys. I let him live but now its time for bed and i gotta get up at 5am for work.. now its like 2am!!! And im still hearing the game, the pushing of buttons and trash talk. My prego self got up threw his pillow at him and was like " sleep with your boyfriend then" 😆 needless to say almost 16 yrs in, we dont have late night video game issues anymore lol
I luv Melissa’s mindset during these couple conversations. She seems to hit every nail on the head so eloquently. She has a nice speaking voice and her delivery is relatable. Kev does a great job as well. Bless their friendship & their marriage🫶🏽❣️Luv’d Erica & Warren’s transparency & fun throwback family stories❣️I wish my husband and myself had positive married couples to converse with. God willing, I spoke this into existence 🙏🏾.
I could fully relate to that oldest drop off story. We dropped our daughter at Spelman in 2013 and that "Follow the drums" Ceremony wiped our whole family out. We were all crying and I mean boohooing! It was real. We're now empty nesting and that has been a tremendous adjustment as well.
This was sooooo good and huh-larious!! 😅😅😅I thoroughly enjoyed this and I thank you all for the ab workout you gave with loads of laughter! I've spent almost an entire week with members of my immediate family and sadly we haven't shared any laughs together yet. Thanks for standing in to fill a void that only God knew I needed filled today👍🏾👍🏾
THIS! This conversation is everything. When i think that i am alone in this.......here we are. Every marriage has it's oooooh's. This was too funny though. Lots of similar instances
There's such a thing as apology languages. Everybody doesn't have to be the same. Why does there have to be only right way of doing thing with billions of people on this planet? That's billions of personalities.
I think "#GOALS" is a compliment and something that can be looked up to! I think the sentiment is good and honest, but it may be something that needs more conversation around it!!
The intent is good and of course it’s meant as a compliment but it’s too much pressure. We’re all just flawed individuals. Also people only show us what they want us to see. We can be calling a couple “goals” because of pretty pictures and good acting, but behind closed doors, they’re struggling.
I like how Kevin and Melissa have these marriage couples who talked about their experience in marriage and ups and downs sincerely yours Mrs Amber Mccutchen
I would love to see the extended version cause I can tell they had to cut out some of the conversation for time. They kept trying to end but just like good friends it’s so hard to stop a good conversation.
Apologies be hard… I disagree. Acknowledge your faults; don’t just hold me in bed. Yes we are staying married and in our family we have to be representatives of maturity for our children. Gifts are good. Food is amazing. I want adult communication in this marriage. Choices 💕
Timeliness has definitely been an interesting part of our marriage... I AM NOT TIMELY!!!!! My husband has extended sooooo much grace... whew, MY GOD!!!!
I love them all... don't let the sun go down on your wrath means don't stay mad not literally that night ... so Kev Wife was actually being very wise 🙏🏽
Just love this. Erica Campbell is the best 🥰...she has come such a long way. Met her before she was a famous singer at El Camino College...so nice. Wishing her so much love and success 🥰
I am really enjoying this marriage Bihar conversations. In the portion toward the end where they discussed college for their children. I would agree that it is our goal to help launch our children. I believe sending your child to college enables you to be more ready to launch them when they graduate. I think it’s God’s little gift to the parent to be ready for the next chapter. Enjoy the journey.
Took me a while to get here too but thank God for revelation! @ 56:11--👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿a perfect illustration on how to have mature and healthy conversations that will prevent allowing your angry words projected on someone else to injure, cause pain and destroy your relationship...only problem is all involved have to understand this and continually put it into practice. "Words cut deep & you cant take it back."
As a single woman, these conversations are so helpful!
I would tell my younger married self to set boundaries and speak on things when they happen.
I love to flirt with my husband. When he says do you want to eat somewhere, I say are you asking me out on a date? He smiles and says of course. Married 24 years. Just one example but the point is it takes both parties to get what you want out of marriage. 💍
Aw thats really sweet 🤍💕
❤️
I love that!💜
Exactly!! People underestimate how important it is to still flirt with your partner. I have been married 20 years still flirt with mine.
Exactly, after 32 years of Holy Matrimony this is TRUE!!
"Your children are birthed through you not to you." That really spoke to me; I've had many questions lately about idolizing my children; that segment helped a lot.
@D Banner Heaven will be on earth when Jesus returns.
John 3:13 ( no man has seen heaven)
Children are a blessing on earth, they definitely teach us love and humility.
That is good knowledge
Yes, it definitely has helped me know how to pray for mine, now that are young adults
I love how each marriage is so different but they all seem to truly love one another and put the work in to make the marriages great. ❤❤
These relationship conversations are Melissa’s Zone of Genius !! This is were you excel & We love to see it!! Side note: the audio/microphones needs adjustment, the volume has to be on high to hear specially the Kirk & Tami episode.
Kirk just whispers ALL the time! 😂
I can hear just fine. I just notice certain individuals talk low in general. I noticed that with Cam (Lauren and Cam). But that's just how he talks. Everyone else sounded fine. I just think they have to ask certain people to speak up.
I’m the youngest & I remember my parents complaining about my older siblings never calling when they went off to college so when I went I called them 5-7 times a week legit all 4 years 😅😅
A
Awwwww, such a sweetheart you are for that. I absolutely love to hear it. Your parents are blessed to have you. 😍
Awe.
😂🤣😂🤣😂Ooooweee I hollered about them ‘Illegal House Prayers’ 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣. Waaaaaaaaaaaayyy too relatable 😅😅!

Where do you live? We’ve been married 3 years and have a handful of cool married friends
Definately try to find some married couples to hang out with!
Same here!!! We are on year 8 and we have no married friends either..
Alex H…Wow! I can relate to your statement 💯!!! It’s hard for us to find happy married couples that we can connect with & share adult conversations. I hope you guys can find that married couple or couples that you can connect with.
I’ll be married soon and I’m soooo glad I came across this page. Thank y’all for this.
God bless your union 💜
These conversations are everything!!! They are about relationships of all kinds be hard. I love it. I'm getting my copy of the book and marriage has never even appealed to me.
I know this gone be good just from Kev's interview with Erica on Ask A and his interview with Warren on Coming to the Stage!
Exactly. Period lol
Yes! They interview well
And was!
The foot touch is a thing ‼️❤️ lol 😂
We'll be married 6 years this Saturday and I laughed soo hard because I related and enjoyed this conversation soo much! I already love Erica and Warryn, but getting to know Melissa was a pleasure and I'll be back!

Yes!!! The touch sometimes is the sorry in that moment and we will most definitely discuss at a later moment ❤️❤️
This was an awesome podcast. Thanks Kevin and Melissa for providing such magnificent content.
Warren said he ain’t pastor today 🤣🤣🤣
Wow great conversation. The Campbell’s were so relatable.
How in THE world have I missed five months of this wonderful, hilariously funny, candid, authentic work!??? Well, I tell you what....I ain't missing nothing elsee!! I love it! Love it! L-O-V-E Ittttt!!!!
This was the conversation we needed in the early years of our marriage. Thank God we made it through all of the storming and norming of it all. 😊 👍🏾 ❤
Enjoying this marriage be hard series, I’ve been learning so much, thank you Melissa 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
At first I was sad watching this like “I wish I would have found my spouse years in HS.” But then I realized it doesn’t matter the journey you take whether by yourself or with another person because the underlining theme was ‘finding yourself’. DOWN to earth and candid convos is what we need.
Got my book the other day!! I'm so EXCITED!!! I pre-ordered in March, so it was a pleasant surprise to receive in the mail!!
Genesis start with a marriage and revelation end with a marriage. Marriage is important to God.
Love love love these segments!! Just made one year of marriage this year and hearing this wisdom from legends is so refreshing that we’re on the right track!
Congrats on your new marriage! You’re still in the honeymoon phase. I wish you many blessings and happiness for many years of marriage.
I got the book and audiobook. Hearing Kev and Liss read their own words was the perfect touch!
@@missrose9795 I was so excited and I was soaking in every word. They did such a good job!!
This series is great. Everyone is dropping gems.
These conversations are Golden. Erica was speaking to me in so many areas!!! Thank you @MrsKevonStage and @KevonStage for having these conversations. They are really appreciated. ❤
You guys have did it again! Great interview!!!!! Also love the DAILY release! ❤
Thank you for making these videos. Hearing these couples be real about their relationship is inspiring 💜
Right! Although I’m not married, I still don’t need the words “I’m sorry” or “I apologize” for the sentiments to be relayed.
This was sooooooo good!!! I laughed so much and so many things resonated with me, my spirit and my marriage!!!
They are PASTORS! I love it. Erica gon bring that thing back to the GOOD BOOK! I love it.
This was so refreshing and authentic ❤️
46:34 ooof I love this!! These conversations are sooo helpful and listening to ppl that share the same faith but aren’t stiff about it, aww man ya don’t understand how refreshing this is💕 in Jesus name we’re welcoming our first one in May 🙏🏽🙏🏽💕keep us in prayers pls
"I had to take her off my potters wheel" THIS!!!
This was soooo good! I especially loved the part about blending their families because THAT be hard too.
I subscribed at 59 minutes into this podcast, I love this so relatable.
You all are Blessing my Life🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 Thank you so much❤️
This is hilarious. I love this conversation. Y'all got me dying laughing. I appreciate all y'all.
Such a good session!!!! I laughed, learned, and loved everything 💕💕💕

Loveeee this segment please keep it going. Y’all have a gift of communication for sure especially relationships
This one made me cry. This one I needed man. Not seeing apologies growing up and now how do I….? Thank you for this one you guys ❤🥹
Thank you so much for putting out these much needed conversations. I pray that God will continue to enlarge your territory!🙏🏾
I think "#GOALS" is a compliment and something that can be looked up to! I think the sentiment is good and honest, but it may be something that needs more conversation around it!!
I hear you but if the person receiving it doesn't see it that way, it won't be received as one. Intention vs impact
The intent is good and of course it’s meant as a compliment but it’s too much pressure. We’re all just flawed individuals. Also people only show us what they want us to see. We can be calling a couple “goals” because of pretty pictures and good acting, but behind closed doors, they’re struggling.
I literally can’t stop watching these and I have a healthy marriage. This is so good.
I agree 💯❣️
This is my new favoritetest one. Every new podcast I hear I feel like it's my new favorite. I can't pick. I'm just so mad I'm so late to the party😂
These segments are blessing meeeeee!!!! Thank y’all for this.
Whew. The pop ups would definitely be a fight in my household 😅😂
This conservation is really necessary for us to adhere to
Loved every min. of this conversation!
This is EXCELLENT! First Kirk and Tammy were phenomenal and now Warren and Erica… just excellent!!!
Now I'm in tears! 😭😭😭😭😭
Great conversation! Marriage be hard and Marriage perfectly imperfect.
As a mom and wife. I went on a emotional roller-coaster in the best way watching this
I like how Kevin and Melissa have these marriage couples who talked about their experience in marriage and ups and downs sincerely yours Mrs Amber Mccutchen
I love this segment. Please have them back! This was so fluid & a breath of fresh air.
Such an amazing conversation! God bless y’all! ❤ Cheers 🥂
I am soooo loving these conversations Kev and Liss!!!!!🥰🥰
Im with Warryn on the being early and planning. This was a good conversation
I would love to see the extended version cause I can tell they had to cut out some of the conversation for time. They kept trying to end but just like good friends it’s so hard to stop a good conversation.

I love Melissa for checking Kev in private! That's important.
Timeliness has definitely been an interesting part of our marriage... I AM NOT TIMELY!!!!! My husband has extended sooooo much grace... whew, MY GOD!!!!
Laughed really hard😭😅🤣you guys are amazing!
Thank you so much for doing this. Keep doing it! I learnt so much and laughed so hard!
This is so random, but Erica and Krista have the same face!
Every episode I've seen thus far, I have enjoyed. But I really wish this one went on forever.
Great conversation ❤😎black love wishing both couples God blessings 🙏🏾
This was dope!!!!! Great conversation!
THIS WAS GREAT!!!! Loved every bit of this episode!
Good stuff. Thank you, guys. 👍🏾
Today is the day that Warren Campbell became my favorite LMBO!!!
This is beautiful, I miss love on stage so much and the wisdom with Uncle and Aunty Kev 😍😍😍😍 appreciate you both!
Absolutely excellent and authentic conversation!!!
I love them all... don't let the sun go down on your wrath means don't stay mad not literally that night ... so Kev Wife was actually being very wise 🙏🏽
This conversation is sooo relatable 🙏🏾😂
Good stuff!
I loved every minute of this!! 💜💜
I have watched this an unhealthy amount of times!!!! ❤❤❤❤
I LOVE this episode! You are two of my favorite couples! Thanks for sharing with us! ❤️❤️
I loved this … it was funny and informative…. I didn’t know Warryn was so funny lol
I thoroughly enjoyed this interview/conversation! ❤
Just finished the series. This is my favorite episode ❤🙌🏽
Such a real interviewing. Loved it. Funny, watched it twice
Talking about apologizing: my husband comes to me with a coffee when he wants to apologize without saying the words🤣
- wife on hubby’s account
Just love this. Erica Campbell is the best 🥰...she has come such a long way. Met her before she was a famous singer at El Camino College...so nice. Wishing her so much love and success 🥰
