Water base is the only way to go..... with silicone base you get a super loud black, but it's greasy and if not applied correctly, won't set up and slings everywhere.... I actually like the 2:1.. It looks like new tires sitting on the showroom floor.... lov the vid, and lov your products.

Great tire dressing video! What's the difference in longevity between Decked Out 2-1 and Clean & Shine? Seems like Clean & Shine would last longer.
You will get more longevity from Decked Out since the formula is designed to bond to rubber, and the product is much thicker than Clean N Shine despite being diluted 2:1.

What can be sprayed onto the rims after cleaning to make them look shinier or protect them? Clutch ?
Yes, Clutch is a good for that or you can use Punch-It ceramic detailer for an easier applying, quick option.
But I like the glazed donut look and don’t mind the sling since I wash often 🫣😅

I have used "tarminator" before, but personally I prefer odorless mineral spirits.
Mineral Spirits will work; however, it is much stronger and has a higher potential of staining some wheel surfaces if residue gets on the wheels.
5/3 of people don't fully understand fractions...just sayin'. I'll be checking out Decked out once I've worked through the 55 gallon drum o' tire shine I'm working on at the moment.

I’ve seen some detailers use clutch as a tire shine..is that something you would recommend?
Personally, I don’t recommend it. It doesn’t hurt anything but I don’t like the look it leaves. It’s preference.

Thats alot of product in a 32 oz bottle.
That's how we do it.
No matter what i do i always have sling , I wash and brush the tires until white foam, use water base dressing , dress the tires and wait 15 mins then grab a microfiber and wipe off what seems to be the extra tire gel. Next day i look after driving , dressing dripping out of the lines on the tire . At this point i don't know what to do. Im starting to think some youtubers are full of shit tbh . Not saying you are but i think some are.
