Very nicely presented. And your upgrades are impressive. Your clip is a couple of years old so the following message may now be old news. If not……..One word of caution to your viewers, specifically the ones riding the Brompton P Line. The Brompton rear rack that is compatible with the P Line-and there’s only one-does NOT accommodate the Vincita Large Nash Bag in a position that does not come in contact with your heels when pedalling. I discovered this shortcoming the hard way after my purchase. Nonetheless, it’s a nice bag and I’ve made use of it on my Specialized Como Electric. I suspect the smaller Nash bag ‘might’ be fine on the P Line. But you may be wise to check.
Great cinematography, great bike. You forgot to add “…and finally, I have a modified Brompton Toolkit that incorporates a miniature microphone used for video narration“. 😀
Very impressive attention to bike component details Takuya. The video is very professionally produced. I would imagine your recommendations are most helpful to anyone wishing to travel light as you most definitely do.
Your kind video is full of knowledge about brompton setting. I have dahon folding bike but want to buy brompton in the near future. When I buy it, I try to set my bike based on your video. Thank you for your video!
Takuya San, thank you for this video. The content is very useful and the video is beautifully shot and edited. A real pleasure to watch. The backing music is lovely too. Can you share details of the music please ?
I love your video and choice of parts. I too have the LitePro extender wheel on my wife's brommie and so far it's still intact and working properly but worry that the extender rod will bend like yours did, in the near future. My bike had the same LitePro easy wheel extender and the threaded cone that holds the wheel on one side came loose during a ride and just disappeared. Very frustrating. I will now just order the original Brompton easy wheels.
Thank you for the informative video! I’m interested to know about your handlebar setup. I am debating between low bars and mid bar, but I see you have a very good low bar setup with extensions! If you could describe which parts you used that would be much appreciated. Regards and thanks
Glad your channel got recommended to me! Very nice video, and thanks for showing the drone controller, it's super helpful to know the QuadLock adapter fits on the back!
Takuya san, you have very tasteful choice of parts used on you Brompton. Not changing the original parts unnecessary, especially eZ wheels are best choice. A very elegant way to mount your tripod. I do the same with Kickfix but bigger version as my tripod is much longer - need a bag
Thanks SM Teo san:) how you carry the long tripod was my concern as well and I once tried put my tripod in my bag but was not really stable. so I put it on my seatpost:)

Thank you very much for this superb made video showing your setup so detailed. It is always very interesting seeing other Brompton riders solutions for your own problems! And I enjoy your video style. Using two bags would be my first choice as well. But how do you handle your bike and the two bags if you choose to visit a shrine, castle or museum while traveling? There are quite some solutions to carry all your travel luggage on a Brompton while riding it. But how to handle it when you want to visit indoor locations is the question that makes me stay awake at night. I would love to read your thoughts / experience on that. Cheers from Germany!
Danke danke sehr fuer gute frage:) I take two often depends on area in Japan. 1. I leave my rear bag on bike parking place, but i could do this only when i travel to rural area or parking area. and i think not so many people knows how to remove rearbag. As you may know Japan is super safe country though... 2. I put my rear bag into "coin-operated-locker". some station in Germany has it as well(i used them when i lived there), but in Japan every station has such a locker so i put unnecessary items into rear bag for sighseen and leave it in Locker.
@@takujadebun Hey, I am impressed by your German! Thanks for your details answer. These two options are exactly what I was thinking of so far. Some touristic place even offer to store your suitcase which would be my Brompton with bag. I used to own a Tern Link with a Klickfix basket up front. I would leave my rain jacket water bottle and sunscreen open in the basket and everything went fine so far. Well, they stole the entire bike in front of a museum in Hamburg, but that is another story. Big citys are always unsafe in the center - except in Japan.
Thinking about coming to Japan and biking from Osaka to Fukuoka, then catching a ferry and riding from Busan to Seoul on the 4 rivers bike path in September. This was very helpful! Do you find that a hammock is sufficient for most camping in Japan?
Hmmm it depends on camping site, but ca.50% of camping site allows hammock camping. I recommend to ask the site in advance! and its great youre gonna visit here!! hope I could ride with you~

Hi Takuya! I just came across your video and I’m so impressed with your approach of using the quad lock adapter on the back of your drone controller! I never thought of doing that. I have one for my phone but that’s just so clever to use one also on your drone controller. Based on your video I bought another adaptor and I was about to apply it and I noticed the dji controller (which I think you are using) has a fan at the position where you are positioning the adaptor. Just wondering if this has caused any issues for you? I think it’s a fan anyway - also worried incase it interferes with the signal in anyway by covering that area. I’d love to hear how it has worked for you? Thanks!
Hi Miriam, sorry for late response. I am using the controller of DJI remote controller for DJI Air 2 and you are right that Quadlock adapter covers the fan, but I don't face any issue as of now no fan issue, nor signal issue. I use drone mounted on my brompton only when I want to take footage me and Brompton for few minutes around me. when I take longer time/distance I dismount it. hope this helps!!
@@takujadebun Hi Takuya - I applied the adapter and no problems at all 😉 Thanks again for providing me with the inspiration to do it! I believe that area is a sound speaker rather than fan, so we’re definitely ok to use it 😊
Takuya San, Thank you for a great informative video. I do not have a Brompton bicycle yet but will be purchasing one on my next trip to Sapporo hopefully in 2022. I was wondering if you can go regular shopping with your Brompton in a typical supermarket partially folded and use the front carrier bag as your shopping basket. Or do you have to leave your Brompton outside the store while you do your grocery shopping? I understand that while going on a train you have to fold the bike and put in a bag. I was just wondering. Thank you, Gary
HI Gary san! and its super nice youre gonna be in Sapporo with your Brompton. The bag I use when I going somewhere with the train, its mandatory in Japan, but for supermarket or shops it all depends on shop owners. I sometimes bring Brompton into shop, but Japan is not that dangerous so I often lock my brompton in front of shops and never got stolen so far..
If you mean the opaque (almost see through) bag seen at 1:05 when he's getting on the train that's an IKEA DIMPA bag. It has the perfect dimensions to slip the whole bike inside. Once the bike is inside the bag it is officially "luggage". I use it myself, it's great. It's also the cheapest Brompton accesory there is ;) I have also simply covered my Brompton in a large trash bag instead. That has the double advantage of the (trash) bag also having wheels, so I can roll it down the aisle of the train as well as not having to visit Ikea but simply getting the (trash) bags at the supermarket.
What is the gearing on your Brompton? Did you make any changes to it? I'm trying to decide if I should get the 2 speed, 3 speed, or 6 speed C Line model.
I use 2 speed brompton only. I have two Bromptons and both of theme are 2 speed due to lightness and simplicity and covers most of roads in the world I think.
I’m trying to find your clickfit adapter. Can you give me a link for that? I see the strap holding on seat pole is black. I find similar one online but it’s silver
Dude,Thanks - I live in Japan and thinking about a Brompton for Shizuoka area. Who is your dealer of choice in Japan? I have a Bike Friday here but it is a tad large for the trains.
Hi Morton! ive never been to bike shops in shizuoka area, but i believe Shizuoka is not so far away from Tokyo so why dont you try to come to tokyo and go Brompton Junction/ Loro and bring your Brompton back to shizuoka with shinkansen?
Im using 2speed S handle W12 colour. and regarding the ebike, it all depends how you use. my case; I often fold&carry my brompton, its too heavy and will not buy one of those. hope this will helps you!
Ur Beautiful Travel Videos made me want to ride my Brompton in Japan, specially the shimanami kaido cycling route. Looks Beautiful there. 🤔 It’s always on top of the Recommendations Lists. I use the C-19 Time Out for learning a few Japanese words 😂 but it’s so hard. So, is there a Chance you could make small Travelers Guide for People that want to visit Japan / shimanami kaido Route. Thx 👋
Thanks for great advice T! it should be very good to make video for travelers guide for foreign riders.. Let me go there again and make video with more information of routes:)
Great Video, can I ask 1 question - why did you decide to use the Joseph Kuosac Super Firm Suspension and not use Matumura Kohki Scrowave Suspension Spring which I believe could be easily obtained in Japan. I have both and and currently using the Matumura Kohki, but am thinking of changing to the Joseph Kuosac during my next service. Your feedback is appreciated.
Thank you and good question Ramzi! Well, Matsumura Kohki Suspension was one of my option, but I tried both suspensions and he said JK's suspension is was harder than Matsumura(hard type) one and it makes me more power direct speedy run. so i choose JK one. and aldo JKs suspension is way cheaper than Matsumura one..

I've been riding this bike for about a month th-cam.com/users/postUgkxwC0IIeIomGQVeBWg-kKJaToZkLEFIA2W and a half now and I think it's fantastic. It helps me get to work on time every day since I'm able to fit it inside of public transportation rush hour. The price is great too, people are always shocked when they ask me how much I paid for the fold up and I tell them "200". It's easy to fold and installation when it ships is insanely easy. All you have to install when the bike arrives is one foot pedal, everything else is done for you. I do recommend you carry some sort of wrench to tighten any loose screws on the handle bar and seat whenever they get a little bit loose. Other than that I think it's a fantastic bike. Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
Hi Takuya. I travel a lot with my Brompton (almost 15000 km in 8 years). I wanted to ask you for the specific crankset from Rotor. Do you know the number of teeth it has, and the model you installed on it? Best regards.

Ive never tried travelling with Rear rack on the airplane, but i believe all depends on which air carrier/ airport you are going to use..
👏🏻👏🏻great video… cheers!
Thanks!!
I’m trying to find your clickfit adapter. Can you give me a link for that? I see the strap holding on seat pole is black. I find similar one online but it’s silver
I also tried to find it but it seems discontinued and couldnt find it anymore...
Thanks bro
Dude,Thanks - I live in Japan and thinking about a Brompton for Shizuoka area. Who is your dealer of choice in Japan? I have a Bike Friday here but it is a tad large for the trains.
Hi Morton! ive never been to bike shops in shizuoka area, but i believe Shizuoka is not so far away from Tokyo so why dont you try to come to tokyo and go Brompton Junction/ Loro and bring your Brompton back to shizuoka with shinkansen?
Which model of Brompton do you have you think than a Brompton ebike is worth the price ?
Im using 2speed S handle W12 colour. and regarding the ebike, it all depends how you use. my case; I often fold&carry my brompton, its too heavy and will not buy one of those. hope this will helps you!
nice......it looks like you using the External Gear setup ? 3sp ?
naaa. i use original 2peed.
Thanks for sharing

Thanks a lot Jose! your kind message motivated me to make more videos.
Which Brompton model are you using? Looking I to buying one for long bike trips.
Hi Tatjana! my model is W12 2peed, S handle model
@@takujadebun thanks for the reply. Noted on the hardness required for the speedy run....How about comfort? Which was better?
@@ramziabdullah1 For comfort, Matsumura is better, but if you are looking for comfort suspension, i recommend use brompton original one..
Thanks for sharing!! Such beautiful views ❤️❤️
Thanks Kritika san!
Hi Takuya, May I know what rear lights do you use?
this is the one! www.amazon.co.jp/テールライト-ブレーキランプ-アルミ合金製-長時間連続点灯-USB充電式/dp/B07VT3JT5X/ref=sr_1_3_sspa?__mk_ja_JP=カタカナ&crid=7R61CZ8HY9X0&dchild=1&keywords=テールライト&qid=1635633443&sprefix=てーるらいt%2Caps%2C509&sr=8-3-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExUDlMU1pRNU1FMkomZW5jcnlwdGVkSWQ9QTA0NzIzODkyTTI2NlI4Wk4zQU5MJmVuY3J5cHRlZEFkSWQ9QTFZT0lDQ1JIUTQ0SFcmd2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9hdGYmYWN0aW9uPWNsaWNrUmVkaXJlY3QmZG9Ob3RMb2dDbGljaz10cnVl

Easily fits in the home, can fit inside a car trunk and can even fit in subway rush hour.
nice video
thanks😊
I didn't quite catch the model name of your rear rack. Could you post a link?

Can Brompton folding pedals be fitted with squashy type toe clips?
hmmm.. I don't think so..
The background sound is a bit high.
thanks for the advice!
Do you get heel strike when the rear pack side zipper compartment is extended?
Nope, never:) but i dont extend my bag very often..
Hi Takuya. I travel a lot with my Brompton (almost 15000 km in 8 years). I wanted to ask you for the specific crankset from Rotor. Do you know the number of teeth it has, and the model you installed on it?
Best regards.
Hi Perico! its 7075-T6 model and has 50theeth. hope this will helps you!
What's the rear lighting?
