Thank you for another great video! Although I've always been passionate about aviation, I never really thought pursuing a career in aviation was possible until I ran into Steveo's channel and watched him fly the TBM850. Thank you for highlighting this mod and can't wait to see more content on this!
Its not so much that it requires a lot of thrust to move, idle is just set to full beta in this model, keep the throttle at 15% for idle. At idle, these will taxi at like 40knots..
A couple of things, correct me if I'm wrong: I read somewhere that real world TBM 850 pilots switch into high idle before taxiing. It's in the POH too, from what I've read. That should make accelerating on the ground much easier. Also, isn't the oxygen switch for emergencies only? I mean, it's a pressurized airplane, so why turn on the oxygen? Aaaand the recommendation in one of the Just Flight tutorial videos was to let the starter drive the NG to its maximum before introducing fuel. That way the engine start is cooler and even remains in the green arc on most occasions. Anyway, awesome aircraft. Very enjoyable to fly!
Hey there. Thanks for previewing this incredibly realistic aircraft. I am a big fan of this plane thanks in part to Steveo flying his 851TB. I noticed in his Vlogs that on climbout he uses IS mode and pitches to maintain 140knts. Is IS mode implemented in this rendition? Also couod you please feature the weather radar on your next video would love to see how this is implemented. This bird does look like a great representation of its real counterpart. Cheers.
All of the default MSFS aircraft, and many third-party addons (including the Black Square analogue series and the Flysimware Cessna 414) allow the propeller blades to change pitch without oil pressure. I was wondering if Black Square had overcome this sim behavior with the TBM, or if the propeller still acts like an electric prop. The A2A Comanche is the only addon I've seen that models this correctly, so far.
PS. I'd like to have a good tutorial about Bendix/King KAS 297B, I can't make any sense of it + ALT mode on the Auto Pilot panel. Maybe you've covered it somewhere else
If we make this assumption we would only be flying comm fail procedures in the sim at all times, would we? Thus in my opinion it makes sense to assume ATC is there and availbale at all times to simulate flying "more realistically" by simulating what's happen more commonly in the real world.
Just out of curiosity, the Daher POH says to have Ng > 80% when testing Airfram de-ice. If I saw correctly you did that in idle thrust, and at least on TH-cam it´s hard to see any inflation of the boots. Could you check with the higher thrust and see if JF has simulated this that acurately also? Danke! :D
Hmm... Interesting... The door latch/lock indicators on the pilot door didn't turn red upon unlocking and opening the door at the end of the flight... a bug?
What a pleasure to watch you fly this 850! The flight model looks superb. What controllers are you using? I notice you use the mouse for a lot of things: prop, condition lever, all the A/P functions, etc. And I noticed in your 2hr video of the 850 that I could hear you "clicking" something to set trim...is that a button on your yoke/joystick, or are you using the keyboard? Thanks!
Hi, controllers as per the description. Except for those controls you'd have in real life on your control column as well (typically trim, AP disconnect and PTT) I'm doing everything with the mouse. It would feel strange to me to use the same hardware controls all over on all kind of different planes.
Flying VFR doesn't mean navigating by terrain features, Navigation by GPS is totally fine. It mainly means flying see and avoid and being responsible for your own Navigation as opposed to IFR where in most airspace classes ATC will do separation for you.
This is just a JF port over to MSFS. The MSFS 900==.this is the attempt at a duplicate. Even rhe sounds. Poor attempt at an already done sim. Shame on you.😮 but typical.😢
What are you talking about? This was built from the ground up for MSFS but they used lots of sounds of the Asobo TBM 930, because that one already is an excellent sound set. Also, Just Flight is only the publisher. The developer is Black Square.
When I read a statement like this I'm always thinking two things. Either: He's just trolling Or: Does he really think I'm going all over the video again to try and figure out what exactly he believes is wrong? Really, if you make a statement like this please do mention some details as to what you think is not correct.
You are having way too much fun in the new plane. When I see your vids this plane moves a bit further up my “watch” list. 😁
You should put it straight to the top 😉
Beautiful flight and a nice landing! Love to see the degree of control you have over the airplane! Thanks for making these videos.
Textbook landing. Well done.
Wow! I didn’t know that Black Square had released a TBM. Somehow I missed the previous video, I can’t wait to get that plane.
Well, they didn’t release one yet;)
Prop animation was really well done.
Nice landing! I'll be getting this plane as I have all the other Black Square planes.

Not my favourite airport to land at (yet) well done my friend !
Nice, cant wait to get the hand on it❤️❤️❤️

From the videos, yes IAS mode in the autopilot panel is implemented. IAS mode adjusts rate of climb to maintain the selected airspeed.

lol isn't the white arc on the ASI for for flap extension? maybe i'm wrong
It is. For Flaps Full, not for any intermediate setting.

Wouldn’t it have been more correct to fly the “AFIS Closed” arrival route, overflying the field, since there was no AFIS available?

I really hope they come out with this soon, or else all the teasing my YTers flying it will drive me nuts :D

Where exactly did you see this? I just tried it in the sim and they did turn green as they should. Do you have a timestamp from the video?
@@A330Driver pretty much at the very end of the video (roughly at time 31:30)
welllll a good video as usual and by what I have seen here and other reviews think I will wait for the SW version.
Hi, which "SW version" do you mean?
@@A330Driver SimWorks had talk there would be from The TBM 850 and other models don't know if any updates though.

Had a question, in xp12 , do you need to install some packages like mister library, then autogate etc when installing freeware scenery
You do, that’s how it’s possible for so many freeware sceneries to exist
One question as a sort of newbie: How can you fly VFR if your are not actually seeing anything except the instruments? Otherwise really great video!
Flying VFR doesn't mean navigating by terrain features, Navigation by GPS is totally fine. It mainly means flying see and avoid and being responsible for your own Navigation as opposed to IFR where in most airspace classes ATC will do separation for you.
Thanks for the answer! @@A330Driver
Where can I find this checklist? I need to be prepared when it launches.. 😂
Right in the manual 😄
@@A330Driver Thanks, captain! Perfect... 👊🏼
looking forwad to this one
Do we know the release date?
in october...
