My Father accumulated 2, 291 Flight hours is this airplane. Minus the GPS display. From 1985 - 1992. He flew N135LJ for a private charter service. Needle, ball, airspeed was a mantra he held as PIC in this airplane. His copilot retired Eagle Aviation, KCRW. I have a CAD drawing display layout of the Gates 35a on my wall behind me. Im glad the simulator is giving this plane the respect it deserves.
I liked your video. I have been holding back for awhile on a corporate jet model but I think you've sold me on this one. As you said its a good balance and the systems and flight dynamics seems to be fairly realistic. Thanks again!
Something about this jet in the sim I really love! Theres a few things the developer could clean up but again its a blast to fly and enjoy some of the realistic systems and qwerks
The learjet is my go to private Jet is son fun to fly, you have to constantly monitor it and plan ahead, I have started to get bored of flying LNAV VNAV, I am starting to prefer flying with steam gauges than a G3000 of the other corpotate jets
Excellent Video, just getting used to the Flysimware C414 and this one is next. Way more piloting needed compared to my many hours spent in the Honda HA420 and looking forward to it.👍
Thank you for the lovely flight. I've done this trip a couple of times to practice procedures and workflow. There's a lot to think know and it's a great experience! How do you have the thrust reversers set up with the Honey Comb Bravo? I'm using the switch based setup and while they seem to deploy properly, I see a lot of visual glitching and clicking in the in-sim representation of the lear's throttle quadrant. Do you see this as well?
Still enjoy this - but i got caught out (by being dumb about fuel tanks) thinking engines feed of the center tanks as well! But they don't you need to feed the fuel back to wings tanks manually for the engines to feed off - ran out of fuel a few times not realising what i was doing wrong. " The Learjet 35A engines only burn fuel from wing tanks. Fuel from the tip tanks are transferred to the wing tank by gravity until the fuel in each tank is approximately 600 lbs. Tip fuel is then transfered by the motive flow jet pumps in each tip tank" It's still a little pitchy/sensitive on the nose would like another updated for this maybe we get one next year? Also the reverses for me used to auto deploy when landing (if armed) but they don't know for some reason? not sure why. I must bind a key for them to help I guess.
Whats the range feel like, I'm reading conflicting reports about whether or not its 'trans atlantic' but to me (I fly the old propliners) Shannon to Gander looks perfectly doable with this aircrafts flight range, am I right or maybe not with the normal headwinds across the atlantic?
Ha ha Men with suspenders laughed at that, in UK/EU that is ladies underwear stockings etc, but I know what we called here 'braces' US call 'suspenders' - made me smile though. I got the learjet 35A it's nice, tricky to get altitudes/speed correct with no auto throttle, but with some practice, as you say it nice to practice/use. I still hoping for new PC/GPU as I struggle for FPS with my old tech which spoils my enjoyment atm. Great flight -👌 that's a tricky hard manual approach - I know i'd mess that up lol P.S. If you're only recording for YTyou could try recording in a much higher bitrate, when you upload to youtube it won't be so fuzzy when moving & keep a HD look btw. Of course takes much longer to upload I think I was using 70,000 bitrate for my old 2k YT recordings stuff.
it is the only retro PJ in the game right now, and the PJ/CJ/BJ market in the sim is criminally underfilled, with the only decent fidelity supermid we have being the citation long, and not a single large long range (global/gulfstream/pc24) with good quality in game
Warning: if you use the TDS GTN 750... ! He can't get it to do approaches. Show me an ILS approach if it's so great... with the TDS GTN 750. I get a Loc OR a GS capture... never both. Terrible coding. Basic 2 axis autopilot. Change the lateral mode, and it drops out of the sky. My TDS GTN works perfectly with every other addon.

I love flying this plane in VR as it is very well optimised and looks incredible with the wrap around cockpit.
Is there a way to move the tablet? In VR it's right in my face and I can't really use it.
@ yes it in your face. However is pretty limited in function so once I’m done with it on the ground I remove it.
I find you can't see the engine gauges in vr... text too small and blurry
@@CCitis if you are running in DLSS this will be an issue. What VR headset are you using?

I wish they would do a 23A this is nice though.
yes for sure the 23 is my favorite Lear jet
Excellent on Xbox as well with the GTN750. Quickly became my favorite PJ

If u like manual flying try the bae146 and fokker by just flight. There's a rather good freeware fokker f27 on flightsim to
Teterboro NY?
I got my PPL there 25 years ago (KTEB). Back then it was in NJ and had a flight school or two. Boy have things changed 🤣
Teterboro is in New Jersey
Great flight! But I have to admit that I forgot to buckle my seatbelt.

just bought it yesterday , looks good
Question of curiosity how long more will these birds be operational? Will they be around 2030/2040/2050?
How did you get like the Navigraph tablet on your same screen?

So after selecting passengers they do not appear in the cabin. What am I missing or are they just not a feature of this plane?
There is an extra option on the tablet to make them visible.
@@hansgrietjes7310 Thanks!

I fly this on Xbox SX and everything works perfectly. I absolutely love it. Now if someone could just tell me how to get the GTN 750 on Xbox.
Well Flown
$2 mil per year just to run this baby. Jesus christ, more expensive than a brand new Phenom 300E
