Nice one Adrian and Bella, Happy Birthday 🎂 Bella glad you had a good safe camp. I have done the same with my daughter and sleep under the hammock 😀. Under blanket is the way to go then no slipping and sliding on the sleeping mat 👍 but it all adds up as extra’s for dads to carry 😀 Thanks again for a fun video
Hi Tarn, thanks for watching, thanks for the wishes Bella said, yes the weight adds up, and the under blankets are heavy ! But may have to be the way to go,luckily the bivy scores highest, certainly a fun time was had. Cheers Adrian
Hi and thanks for watching, yes mick those hammock do look the business, but being a bit expensive for occasional use and they are a bit heavier, can certainly see the point in getting one if you hammock regularly, luckily Bella prefers the bivy, Thanks for the advice Cheers Adrian
Hi Phil and thanks for watching, Glad you enjoyed it, I have to agree, but forests and woods are handy in bad weather or for a quick camp if close to home, I too don’t really get on with the hammock It’s a bivy all the way for me wahey Cheers Adrian
Love the jokes. Great pitch. I sleep by far the best in a hammock with my Hammock Gear 20 deg underquilt. Hot chocolate looks tasty. I was looking into the Olight Oclip or the new Olight Pro Clip for a light that could clip on my shirt. Kind of clips on like my microphone.
Hi rod, thanks for watching Glad you liked it, I prefer the bivy on the ground, Bella loved the hammock, You could get carried away buying torches without doubt, luckily these were gifted, and I really get on with them, Cheers Adrian
@northumberlandmountainhopper Oh I'm already far gone. 😂 I got hooked on them prepping for Mt Whitney. Gaining a collection of headlamps, flashlights, and lanterns 😂
Nice video Adrian and happy birthday to Bella! Regarding our last chat I ended up getting a robens bivvi new for 50 quid which my partner will put away for Christmas. Had a quick look and it looks canny with the bug mesh, zip and peg points weighing less than half a kilo. As you suggested I will need a tarp as the head end with the mesh could let water in but the material is waterproof (did a quick test) I'll let you know what its like when I use it probably next spring or in the new year.
Hi and thanks for watching, yes I do that, buy some stuff and have it put away for the kids to give ! Good luck with the bivy, mesh does look good for the summer, and it has the much needed zip, Great price too Cheers Adrian
👍 video. It could be Bella is light (12yr) for the mattress to be fully inflated that causing it to rise up and ending above her whilst she sleeps - the curve of the hammock and the rounding of the edging doesn't help with ridged inflated mat. Maybe next time try lesser inflation so the mattress "moulds" around the hammock. There again some campers put their mattress inside their sleeping bag. Alas need to get a right size mattress for the child(?) sleeping bag.
Hi and thanks for watching
Yes the hot chocolate is a camping time Bella looks forward too
Cheers Adrian
Ah she looked soooooo cosy in there!!! Lovely camp and great idea for a bivy and hammock 😊
Hi and thanks for watching,
Glad you liked it, Bella loved the hammock, it does limit where you can camp not like the bivy,

Lovely camp Adrian. Like the hammock idea, I’ve had one for a while but haven’t gotten round to trying it yet.
Hi Dave, thanks for watching,
Bella loved the hammock, I have tried it once or twice, not so keen,
It’s nice to have the options
Cheers Adrian
Smashing adventure for you both. Im not a fan of forest camps, which obviously means hammock camping is a no no for me. Great video thanks Adrian.

You might want to take a look at the SOFIRN Mini SC13 flashlight for a cracking little light with an adjustable clip.
Hi and thanks for watching,
It does also look like a nice little light, just not so many light options on it,
Thanks for the tip,
Cheers Adrian
Like twins
Hi and thanks for watching
Cheers Adrian
Great video! Happy birthday bella 😊 🎉 I could watch your videos for hours mate. Already looking forward to the next one.
Hi and thanks for watching

Hi and thanks for watching
Not the first to suggest this
I will try it next time she uses the hammock
Cheers Adrian
Maybe the air mat in the hammock would have stayed put better if you would have deflated it a little bit ??? Have fun stay safe.
Hi and thanks for watching,
You may have a point, something to try next time.
Cheers Adrian
I've had a hammock but never tried it, prefer my bivvy.
Hi and thanks for watching
I tried it and yes I too prefer the bivy ,
Warmer and can use anywhere
Cheers Adrian
