GREAT video, it is wonderful to see your daughter's enthusiasm for the outdoors. Stay well both, take care, Helen and Katarin Juska-law, Stella and Terri with Robyn.
Hi and thanks for watching, Glad you enjoyed it, Bella is a Tarp and Bivy fan now and wants to camp every fortnight, just need my son to start now, Did you see Bellas hill camp a few weeks ago ? At St Abbs I still imagine you climbing up the cliffs !! Scary Cheers Adrian
@@northumberlandmountainhopper Hi, hadn't seen the previous Bella video as we have been away, but will look for it now. We have strong memories of St Abbs too, Cheers Helen et al
What a beautiful coastline, and it's lovely to see youngsters enjoying the great outdoors, you can't beat it. I'm looking forward to my break in Whitby next week after watching this, thanks.
Hi and thanks for watching Glad you enjoy seeing Bella on the camps, will become every few weeks I think, I will pass on you agree with the pool description, Not far up from the Cheviots either, for your visits. Cheers Adrian
Nothing like a “tarp and bivvy” camp with mountainhopper. Bella is becoming a star of your vids, even way over here in Texas! Reminds me of my own daughter at that age. She’s wonderful!! I love the shot of the chocolate cup, both “before” and “after”! Absolutely perfect vid: I’m inspired to go back to tarping myself. I just wish I had that gorgeous mushroom spot!
Hi and thanks for watching from afar, yes she is a tarp and bivy fan for sure It’s a special bit of coast line for sure Glad you enjoy the videos Cheers Adrian
That's great your daughter has so much enthusiasm to be out there tarp and bivy camping. Sweet views and the star pitch looked great. Those winds would make me wear ear plugs 😅
Hi Rod,thanks for watching, I may well have put ear plugs In lol But I had to keep an eye on Bella ! This will be my summit configuration. Cheers Adrian
Hi and thanks for watching, yes the enthusiasm shines through, and to like the Tarp and Bivy is a bonus, just need the boyo out camping now Cheers Adrian
The configuration is one of my favourites. Rate it even more after watching. 😂 Bella will be able to take you camping in a few years🔥 Papa hiker was were I first seen that setup. He said if you’re in a bad situation it will save you and your family. Think he’s got that right 🔥Adrian
Hi and thanks for watching Yes she can carry my stuff lol His channel is excellent for set ups as well, It will be my summit set up for the winter on the Cheviots, beauty of it is you can have 4 doors and then close it down if required, 4 good corner pegs and it’s safe Cheers Adrian
A cracking vid Adrian, you’ve a keen, young wild camper there in Bella, lovely to see her enjoying it. Stunning place is St Abbs, I love the odd camp up there. Cheers, Dave
Super video both, well done on not letting the wind get the better of you. Such an amazing coast line thanks for sharing your adventure with Bella. The wind reminds me of my 1 st night on Great Links Torr in Dartmoor i had to drop the tarp at 2 am for fear of loosing it.. watching this it would probably have been fine. Enjoy (watching from South Africa this week back home to UK next week
Hi Tarn, Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it,Tarp was amazing, don’t think I will need my tents anytime soon after this test, I have walked but not much camping all over Dartmoor in the 90’s parents were in Brixham, are you walking / camping over there, Cheers Adrian
Hi Dave Glad you enjoyed it, we are lucky to have it so close, but yes the weather takes no notice of the forecast !! Would you bivy it ? Cheers Adrian
@@northumberlandmountainhopper weather permitting I’d definitely bivvy it. Me and Bob are out on Saturday night, we haven’t decided on location yet and will check the forecast to see wether I bivvy or not 🤔
That's a great coast line for a breezy tarp camp, lovely spot too. You breed your kids tough up north if your girl is anything to go by 😊 Cheers Adrian & Bella 👍
Hi and thanks for watching, we are lucky to have such coast so close, yes she is tough without doubt, when she wants to do something. My thoughts are this, To London and the south East up north is Leeds and Sheffield etc Northumberland is the forgotten North, but it keeps it quiet for us that live here lol obviously my thoughts !! Cheers Adrian
Love St Abbs....scuba dived it many times. Great video once again, family time at its best! Another great spot to try if youre up that way again is Peticote wick. Its a little further north than where you are, but has some cracking views and is accessible by car. The tarp took a proper beating but stood up well to that constant wind. Look forward to your next adventure....keep safe.😊
Cracking video Adrian, definitely a place on my list to camp, was it the dd ultralight tarp?, great to see how Bella loves it so much, brilliant, good health and safe travels my friend, cheers craig
Smashing vid great to see your daughter out getting the bug 👍 have you tried the solagnac tarp from decathlon ? Wow fantastic in the wind like yourself i love tarping and that was brilliant for winds not as much flapping
Since you're an avid watcher of my Cape Wrath Trail videos and you mentioned you use a tarp I had to come see and subscribe to your channel! Man oh man, if you are taking that on the CWT you are brave..hopefully in May the midges wont get you but the ticks...how do you avoid them when you camp under this? I cant wait to see your cwt attempt using a tarp if thats your plan! Braver man than me my friend! Lol. I'll scroll back and start watching these videos as I can deffo use one of these tarpa over here in the USA on the Pacific Crest Trail!
Hi and thanks for watching, Have not decided on what shelter or protection to take, Midges and tarps, on one of my. Loch side videos I use a net under the tarp over the mat, it was ok, I was bitten to death before even getting in !!!! Cheers Adrian
