I really enjoyed your review! It would be nice to hear a classical piece too because violin for example often gets distorted on speakers and is a great way to test them out I've found. I'd like to hear a voice too. Sometimes they get distorted. I think the small one sounded better. My father used to say smaller speakers gave better sound. That was in the 70s mind you but he did mix music. Thank you.

The smaller one sounded like it had better highs than the larger plus version. They both have identical bass but the plus has a 4400mAh battery compared to the smaller one that has a 220mAh battery. The plus can run twice as long -- they say 30 hours at 1/4 volume. I personally like the longer run time so, I prefer the larger plus version.
Thanks for the great review. VERY helpful. The Angle seems to have sharper treble, which I like, but I also like the full/smooth sound of the 3 Plus. I think I'd go with the Angle. Thanks!

I ordered the sound core 2, the speaker was great they just had a auto leveling of the sound issue that I couldn't talk. So I returned it. When you do your review, look out for that!

can you do a comparison beetwen oontz angle 3 plus vs Mifa F7??
If you buy two of the angle 3 pluses, you can set them up in stereo with a wireless connection.
I heard them both here on my jbl flip and wow theres a huge difference plus I'm an audiophile too so yeah more bass on the plus but nice bass not too boomy mids high had more definition definitely the plus wins hands down i own hi quality brands bud i think I'm getting the plus i liked the sound quality sounds decent
yeah it's pretty decent, between the two I don't think there is much a choice, the 3 plus sounds much better in the low end
...I just got the Angle 3... It sounds great to me, and it's made by Cambridge, the same company that made my old desktop speakers... I have no complaints!

Interesting to read the comments. Short of recording a full on HD mic (which it was not) there is no way to hear much of a difference in bass or mids/highs. The 3 plus definitely sounds a bit louder. People see a bigger speaker I think... and base it on that. The power (10W) and the drivers are essentially the same. The plus has a bit larger enclosure so it more efficient with the 10W...so its louder overall. The battery life is a big difference....30 hours on the plus about double the other.
+Ray Emami yeah of course it's not the BEST test with it being online and compression and alladat but I got a pretty good mic. Wasn't a camera mic or anything, I think you can still tell some of the differences. Honestly while I can see the clear winner in person I don't even know if it's really a blowout, one is louder with a bit more punch in the low end. The power is not the same between them. The Oontz Plus is 14 watts, the smaller Oontz is 10 watts. I have the smaller one and it rocks hard.
@@michaelackerman8009 yep, I was going to say the same, I got both, and I think the loud is almost the same, the extra 4watts I think were focused in the Bass , I love both, and I'll get the 2nd 3 plus to get stereo and more power 'cause you can pair both together and keep rocking

i dunno. i thought the older version sounded cleaner. the mids and highs were nice and crisp. the plus may have more bass, but it is hard to tell from this video. the plus did sound more "muddy" to me though. i do audio mixing on a regular basis, and to my ears, the angle 3 (older) sounded better overall, but less bass. whereas the newer version seems to have added bass, but diminished the mids and highs drastically, making it sound muffled.
Yeah this isn't really the most scientific way of doing it, my mic is nice but I'll be getting one of those binaural mics to increase the quality of these tests. I don't disagree with your point though, but I don't know if the plus sounds really muddy in person. I think they do try to add more bass and it's not the cleanest but on the right tracks the punch is there. Honestly, I'm just impressed with what you can get for 20 bucks or so, I didn't expect either to sound very good.
I listened to both of 'em over and again... I can fairly say that I'm a slightly, above average, audiophile. I must agree. The first Oontz Angle sounded better to me.

From this video both sound the same through the Oontz Angle 3 which I paid $20.00 with free shipping from Amazon 3/2019.

For a sound comparison, you need to switch between speakers as quickly as possible and do that a few times without being stuck on either one for too long... and not talk in between!
Try a Japanese brand bluetooth speaker named Mitsushi BT02-102. It’s cheaper than both Anker and Oonzt, but powerful.

I’m definitely not a pro. All I can say is that for the price the angle 3 is awesome. I have it hooked up to an echo dot that I purchased on sale for $29. So under $50 and you can have something similar to he big Echo for less than half the price. Not to mention I can grab the angle and take it with me. I’m going to grab a couple more dots when they go on sale and set them up with angle 3’s around the house.

I have the angle 3 and I put it in my water bottle cage on my bike when I go for a ride. It's pretty loud and that way people can hear me from behind. I've had it for about 3 yrs now. How about the plus though? They almost sound the same. Which one do you prefer?
Unfortunately I'm listening through headphones that don't do the sound of these two devices justice can I ask you what your opinion is on them? Right now it's $24 for the angle 3 and $35 for the plus which one should I go with?

I own the oontz angle 3... does a fantastic job for the price... if you are lookin to spend a bit more i recommend going with the anker.. oontz is good for 20 and change.. anything above that is better invested in a more reliable brand. after 1 month my oontz wouldn't charge anymore.. wrote the company and they sent me a replacement.. shouldn't have happened in the first place...
would you say if there are any real sound differences between the oontz and the anker? I keep meaning to pick that up but I keep getting other stuff.

If it's any help, I bought the Angle 3 (not the plus) and the Anker Soundcore from Amazon. After one day's listening, the Angle 3 is still here and the Anker went back to Amazon.
The sound AND the overall functionality just could not match the Angle 3. Actually, a friend has the Plus and doing an A/B with my 3, I like the 3 better. While the Plus MIGHT have an edge in the volume department, to my ears the 3 has better clarity and crispness (if that's the word).
Still, you won't go wrong with either the 3 or the plus!!!

The funny part is that when u hear through ur device it all sound all the same. The bass vocals on device is actually what ur hearing. It's feels like simulator

@@DVZNMedia you can hear the difference if you have PC speakers with a good sub or good headphones that reproduce bass well. Keep in mind, these speakers reproduce low bass by vibrating the surface they are placed on. Move them around for best results.
So definiteLy Louder.. Dont hear much of a difference on sound quaLity tho.
Tip for those who have one of these: get a nice wooden box to pLace your speaker on, heLps so much.

Is the difference big? In my country Oontz Angle 3 is $35 and Oontz Angle 3 Plus is $55. If the difference in sound quality/bass is big I might consider getting the plus.

I got one of the original ones, and the bass is good, but only if it is on a surface that resonates. If you put it on carpet or concrete, it kills the bass. Can you do another test with them not sitting on a wooden desk/table?

i don't think i have the box anymore but that's an angle 3...i think the "angle" was well out of production by the time I came around.

Will the oontz plus work with spotify premium?
I don't see why it wouldn't I have regular spotify and it works just fine. It's BT so anything you can play thru your phone will work with it.
