- I saw more than a few guides for 20 knights in 20 minutes using Teutons, but I wanted to provide the same strategy using a "stronger" civ. Franks transition nicely into all stages of the game with fully upgraded Paladins and have a nice eco behind their army!

Pop 8-11: Wood
lure deer as early as possible
Pop 12: Food
Pop 13: Build 2 houses then berries

Balance 14 food between 7 herdables and 7 berries

Great video! I reckon you could get away with this as a pocket, if one of your allies gets siege it could be an early wipe-out.
Thx for this buildorder. Tbh. i struggled with Food in the Knight production, so i optimiced it for me. Maybe others will like it too. It was made and tested for civs without any eco Bonus. If you have a civ. like the Franks this will be way easier. In the buildorder i dont mention building Houses, Mills & Lumbercamps bcs. you see when it need to be done. On the left side you see how much Vills you need to send somewhere, on the right you see the Villager counter per Resource.

Actually Im playing smth similar on hideout. Going standard FC build with 26+2 pop and two stables . But trying to bust gates after firts 5/6 knights and constantly producing from 2 stables and trying not to idle the TC. The aim is to deal eco damage and force responce usually pikes. Than I would do forward SWs and may be range or baracks depending on the opponent civ and mine. I play it with Franks, Slavs or Berbers. The slavs do farm faster and have cheaper siege. I would go Knights and sorps with them most likely to clean up the pikes. Berbers stables spam is cheaper in from castle age and I find easier to keep production from 1 TC and 2 stables. Also I could mix in some camels with them if I lack a little resources or the enemy tryes to counter my knights with his own or camels. For Franks its well explained in the video.
Usually my second and third TC come a little later but I do try to builds up eco. Ofc it is different as I do not try to kill the opponent with the first wave but have him on the back foot for the rest of the game with the attack comming around the time he would be building the extra TCs.

I feel like the 2nd wood camp is a waste of wood if you only have two villagers working on it in the end, also, three stables should be do ok

This is only a 3v3 or 4v4 viable build, of you pull this off at 2v2 or 1v1 its because of your opponents mistakes
And please don't send knights without upgrades, 15 archers with both damage upgrade can defend that, or 12 pikemen will diminish your numbers by a lot

Can make with 23 minutes 1 castle, place 2 in rock (dark age )
Does this build still work in the current patch of AoE2 DE?
Yes - should still work with no issues. If you run into a food issue, add one more vill in dark age to wood so you can seed another farm later on. It will make the timing slightly later but still solid
If you didn’t have so many knights cued you could have continually produced vills. Those queued units are dead resources, your idle TC is not great and can be avoided.
Can be good with berber too i think, but the knight frank are tanky af, interessting
20knights from Sicilians is the best in game coz pikes can’t counter it well.
You could do this as Berbers.
Cheaper knights means you don't idle TC and keep production
I think it is possible with Berbers, but I feel like farms would begin to expire (no free horse collar or plow) and also no free Bloodlines. The cheaper stable is definitely a + though
@@HumzaCrumza I saw this video and tried it with Berbers and got 20 knights in 19:58! I basically did a good FC (up before 15:00) and then you can do 2 stable knight production, which takes 5 minutes to get to 20 knights, and then do scale barding armor and bloodlines while running towards the enemy. I did this with double bit axe and horse collar before making farms, so that's pretty decent for the eco. I had to idle the TC in castle age though and ended up with 27 villagers only, but I ended up with almost enough wood to make an extra TC. You save 400 resources on the knights, needing 4 villagers less to keep up the knight production. If you're interested I have the replay.
@@Pecuniarly Absolutely I'm interested! Do you know if you would be able to also produce the 30 knights by 22:30? Or does your build focus mostly on getting those 20 knights out?
@@HumzaCrumza ehm, 30 knights by 22:30 should just be possible with no idle time on the two stables, but no bloodlines then. Regarding eco 10 farmers and 12 gold miners should be enough to create 2 stable knights indefinitely, plus a few for wood and new houses, but expanding eco is hardly possible. Building a 3rd stable for bloodlines would be useless since you can only keep 2 stables busy anyway with the low eco. Because of having double bit axe and having invested in way fewer farmers and only two stables, I think this Berber variant suits better for transition to a boom. Also a real FC is a better known build and less risky if your opponent goes for early agression.

Good build. Wish it was against a real player as anyone seeing that score would immediately build pikes, scout etc. I kept wondering why the other player wasn't reacting then you said its ai....
I like doing vs. AI to show a nice clean build, but the first two background clips were me pulling the strategy off against two actual players on Ranked on Hideout and Lombardia respectively. I get pretty stressed trying to do ladder + talk about a strategy 11
For the score; when you are doing this strat, it actually looks like you're booming (score-wise). Example of this is in the first clip the enemy was booming and I was knight rushing and we both had a 2.9k score. Thats one of the reasons I like this so much! (I should've talked a little on this in the video :0 )
