I've been trying to pull this off as Aztecs and I think the build needs to be adapted somewhat. You have less food as Aztecs from boar/sheep and they run out without me being able to click up. Pushing a single deer fixes it though.
the thing about comparing per-building production of eagles to archers and scouts is that it takes a barracks (for non-khmer players) to be able to put down a stable or an archery range. The end result is that 2x rack is identical initial investment and identical unit output to 1x stable, and that 4x rack is only 25 wood more expensive than 2x range + blacksmith for a larger unit output.
Thanks Humza! For the 12th vil barracks wood problem I kinda have a solution but it depends on map gen. I usually send 12th vil to house -> 10 gold -> TC boar. I choose to use forward woodline if possible so whenever I got 175 wood I send 1 wood vil to build barracks -> house. Not sure if it helps :)
I believe there's a match against T90 where you did this build, am I correct? I've been looking for the video after I saw it (or imagined it) but cannot find it
Yep, did this exact build against t90 - was a pretty fun game and the build in that game was worse because I lost so many villagers. This video is how the build should play out ideally :)
@@HumzaCrumza do you have the link? Btw I went from 1200 to 1400 doing this so far. So thanks! However I cannot make it work with Aztecs, since I cannot get enough food to click up. Doing the math it should work, but I mess up somewhere idk
Humza is like the SOTL of build orders, yout videos are so well made! The intro is fantastic (the design and the music) I really enjoy your videos! I like to think that it's me playing... and then reality strikes
I have been doing this but without drush since i started playing this game lol. I thought this is a unique strategy and I am glad someone else is doing that too. One important thing is that eagles can attack his farm and idle opponent farm for quite a while so man at arm production in feudal age is very difficult. It delays opponent castle age as well. If no food income there is no way to stop eagles. In castle age I just keep streaming eagles into his tc even the eagles die because the food production is going to be idle forever.
cant believe im just finding this video. 15 pop instant man-at-arms flood with bulgarians is my favorite strat. this a bit different, but i think the skillset should transfer
I did search on the internets about this noburu guy and as far as T90 said this fellow used to play a lot of nomad and messy games and became a legend as Hoang; thing is, i haven't found any information of this eagle flood strategy and i found the inca trush strategy instead.... I even tried to get into his twitch but is all in japanese, where can i watch the real-life implementation of this strat?
Your main priority with your premill drush should be to maybe snag a pre-loom villager for free, but more importantly its to delay + stop the walls from coming out at all. If you see your opponent walled with your premill drush - just go naked drush FC and play the game from there. Otherwise if he does wall a few things are possible: 1. You upgrade your militia to man-at-arms assuming you've kept them alive. Depending on where you hit and if you can distract you can get in to the base. 2. You send 3 vills forward to build a tower next to the palisade wall, preferably next to one of his resources as well. This way he cant stop the eagles from knocking at the wall. 3. Use your eagles to attack 2 spots simultaneously since its possible your opponent misses one of the spots being attacked.
I noticed 13 and 14 villager is actually food and not wood. I have had decent luck with putting first two wood vills on stragglers first and then you should have enough for barracks right after first house.
is it normal that i cant click up when i do this with aztecs? i had 24 vills and only did 2 soldiers in dark age but i didnt have the food to click up and i used up all my sheep and boars like you did?
Actually yes - if you're doing this as Incas or Aztecs, you actually have to push a deer with your scout or put an extra on berries or seed an early farm. You'll be short like 20-30 food otherwise
Hello Do you also have a build order video of "Goths" on Arena and Arabia where I can get to Huskarle as fast as possible?!?? That would be great ;) You can link it here
Hmm, its definitely possible but not recommended since castle age units from the pocket will wipe out your army. Eagle flood relies on an extended feudal age which doesn't happen very often in TGs
optimize the wood part with a villager on wood until you make exactly how much you need and send him back to food or use teh builder himself to spawn on stag tree next to TC as 5th wood vil
So m@a will counter eagles in enough numbers, but investing 60 food into each man at arms is a very heavy investment if you think about it. In feudal, you are still starved for wood income and you need that wood to build farms. You also are floating very little food since you're constantly producing villagers. By the time someone has enough m@a to fight your eagle mass, you should have some advantage already as the meso civ
Im having a conniption seeing you not: A) stomping on their necks and hitting that woodline early, and then keeping the boot on it by circling the perimeter and hitting both woodlines and gold. B) letting that tower get up C) ignoring that tower's lack of murderholes and just sending 6-8 eagles under it to get rid of it without taking damage. D) splitting your eagles up into effecient pods that can win the numbers game per enemy unit (eg sending 2 eagles to each archer instead of sending 6 eagles to overkill the archer while its buddies shoot your guys who cant hit the overkill archer.) E) sitting back and "building up an army" instead of trickling in reinforcements while hitting the enemy eco/weaker army while they are behind the curve you set. F) not prioing the one to two archers early and instead hitting farmers when you need to be dominating their army first, then when youve exponentially grown your army numbers while keeping theirs low, using your ever increasing numbers advantage to close out the war of attrition by keeping them off unit production by raiding eco.
really depends on the opponent civ. If they go militia line, this won't work. I tried versus Burmese and teuton's. Besides, the feudal is really long, if the opponent go castle age crossbow, them the eagle scouts don't stand a chance. I don't like this will surprise near 2k players. 1.5k players can solve this with ease.
Would this work with Aztecs?
Its even better with Aztecs. Apparently Noboru was practicing archer switches as well so he was playing Mayans instead 11.
@@HumzaCrumza oh great! Thanks for the reply. Also, your vids are top end
I came to comments to ask this!
@@HumzaCrumza incas is better. They have slingers to deal with potential swordsmen in case opponent managed to produce food constantly

You need an extra building to click up so it will eventually be the same investment
Great Video Humza, I know these take a lot of work to plan and make. Appreciate the effort.
Best YT channel on build orders. Keep up the great work !
Nice Build. First time I beat extreme AI without towerrush
You can go on wood 1 earlier, and push a deer to prevent the wait gap between the house and barracks. This will vary on map to map ofc.
Awesome video! I will definitely train for this BO! thanks for the time you take, I am sure many of us learn a lot!

4:55 start building a second house. With the drush and TC producing, you will quickly need another one.
Another great video
Thanks buddy. You said eagles don’t have a direct counter in feudal, but what about men at arms?

What sorts of things should you do if they manage to wall up after the drush?

this build is too intense for me haha im only at 13 min in feudal xD
so much to focus on :D
Was wondering, what if you go with 8 vills on wood?
do you have a link of he playing with this strategy?
What if the enemy counters the eagles with scouts of their own?
This does say make Eagles every time obviously you wall and counter it
spear/pike are cheap and you already have multiple barracks and infantry upgrades going with the eagles

what if you add a 5th vill to the wood in the start and take him off after you build a barracks. Great video btw man.
I'll have to playtest this, but I think it actually causes a food-shortage when building the 3rd militia?
discovered your video on reddit (so keep on posting there 11)
Great videos man! :)
Exploring more "undiscovered" or off-meta strategies is just great

normally m@n are pointless in late feudal but they do counter eagles
So m@a will counter eagles in enough numbers, but investing 60 food into each man at arms is a very heavy investment if you think about it. I like to go it with incas because you Can easily Switch to slingers in castle.
Not a bad idea since the logically switch vs. Eagles is Man-at-arms
Shouldn't this just be much better with aztecs?
