- The Aztecs have always been a deadly Arena civ, mostly for the fact that they can grab map control decisively with their stronger monks and eagle warriors. This strategy tries to highlight this strength by using that same map control and going aggressive with Monks and Siege. Hope you enjoy!

Aztec Smush Build Order:
Pop 1: Scout
Pop 2-7: Sheep
Pop 8-11: Wood
Pop 12: Lure Boar
Pop 13: Build house, then Mill
Pop 14-19: Boar/Sheep/Deer
Pop 20-23: Wood
Pop 24-25: Gold
Click Feudal
Build 3 farms
Send 2 villagers to stragglers
Hit Feudal
Pop 26-27: Gold
Build Blacksmith
Build Market
Click Castle
Build 2 farms
Send 3 vills from berries to Gold
Build 1/2 Barracks
Produce Eagles
Research Double-Bit Axe
Hit Castle
All new vills to gold (until 16, then go to wood)

As far as specific map + civ combos, I think for the time being I'm focusing on open land maps/arena strategies similar to this Aztec + Arena strat. That being said, I'll try to stay as relevant as I can to the 1v1 map pool for AoE2 DE Ranked ladder

Edit: didn't want this to sound negative. I love this channel because you actually show specific builds with specific civs. As much as it's good to practice the scout rush with the saracens to get a hang of it, it's mandatory to understand how to optimize your civ bonuses in order to actually get good. A lot of people say that it's just about experience but having a scientifical approach so clear on video is a big help for me.
I agree, I actually hate playing against this/noboru/hoang style play, but showing the builds for it also shows you where the weaknesses of the build lies as well. One of the better counters to this I've found is to actually start moving some vills to stone when this is scouted so that you can build a castle to protect your economy. Then for the eagles that will eventually break through into your eco, you can go for knights to clean them up or light cav. Basically, just keep booming, defend, reach imp before the aztec player and then destroy his forward with your imperial units. Winning against this in Castle can be tough.
This isn't pro advice or anything, just what I found works against the build :)
If you see or sense this is going to happen vs Aztecs tech into light cav and have like 10 ready to snipe the monks and make a castle where you think you are weakest to a push and you’ll handle it fine

nice strat i am not really good at playing aztecs i ve never won with them but i didnt know they had so much powers because every time i play with eagles they counter them with knights and then i don't know how to use monks properly can you make a video on how to use monks properly like using control groups and whatever it will really help me and other players who don't use monks except for collecting relics
Use Pikeman in front of monks and get each monk to convert each knight it works really good

Is this also possible with Slavs? Since they have cheaper siege. And make Longswords instead of Eagle Warriors with supplies being free
So if you're are going to be playing Slavs, you couldn't do this exact strategy per se since Long swords lack pierce armor and speed necessary to create a lot of pressure vs. counter siege and counte rmonks. However, you could do a really interesting strategy that I'll make a video on soon where you can make a siege tower and drop 20 longswords into your opponents base! Viper has a video on it somewhere so I'll defer to that one until I make the build order video myself :)

Thanks Juan! And yes, this will work for other maps like Hideout and Gold Rush (if you can wall early). On Arabia, you'll most likely die to feudal pressure so you'll need a drush or something to delay your opponent which ends up just being a completely different build (check out the Hoang Rush vid on the channel for more details on that)
I recommend not showing your barracks at the edge of the map for this!
Normally I would agree but I dont think a barracks on a Mezo civ is really all that surprising to anyone
